In my personal experience I did not entirely feel great about my experience here. I came here in a party of 3 and we wanted to split a single flight because we were a)visiting multiple wineries that day and b) driving ourselves. The idea for our trip was to try tastes of the wine and buy bottles of what we liked and if we wanted time to wind down, buy a glass and sit outside for 10-30 minutes before moving on to the next. To be fair, this was not the only place that seemed annoyed that 3 people were splitting 1-2 flights depending on if we wanted to try more or less. I want to defend ourselves saying we didn't take up much time or space in any place unless if we bought full glasses to enjoy. we had the wine flight on our table within 10 minutes of arriving (when we ordered and emphasized one to share our server seemed irked) and less than 5 minutes of it being on the table a staff member asked us if we wanted a check. We had only tasted 2 glasses as we each would take a sip and say what we tasted and if we liked it. We had not even tried all of our wines to determine if we wanted a glass to enjoy or a bottle to purchase. I was confused as we had not taken up much time and 2/3 of the tables were empty. The wine itself was fine, nothing insanely good or bad. Not exceptionally memorable except the rose which I didn't like but I felt it was interesting how they made it. This was another stop on our Seneca Lake Westshore wine tour. This place was recommended by a family member who had visited before. The establishment is very nice and the staff was friendly and informative. We chose to do their "Mystery Flight" which is a self guided tour of 5 wines and you have to guess which wine you're tasting from 5 possible options for each wine (pictured). We only got 1 right but we enjoyed each wine. We hope to come back to enjoy more of their selection. read more

We had a nice visit to Anthony road. The ladies working there were kind and hospitable but not the most knowledgeable for us as wine nerds. They have crowd pleaser wines but not a holistically a complex or interesting wine list. I would recommend the 2024 rose and the 2022 lamberger . For entry level wine drinkers, this would be a good spot! It is extremely reasonably priced. I don't think I would return because my preference is for complex white and red wines. read more

We had a wonderful experience at Anthony Road. Located near the Seneca Lake, the price for a flight of 5 was only $10, which was about half of the price of other wineries. They also do have cheese, crackers, meat, etc. for an extra price, but it's à la carte as opposed to a charcuterie board. Anthony Road definitely has more white wines than red, so if you're mainly into reds, this may not be your first pick. We loved the casual setting and the kindness of the servers. Our server also offered us two other wines to try free of charge. What I didn't love is the expectation of a tip based on the wine we purchased. I am a generous person and believe tipping is important. However, we should be tipping based on what we were served; the flights and the cheese. When we went to get six bottles of wine, that's when the tip was expected, which is not appropriate in my view. I would encourage people to go to Anthony Road, but to request to pay after their flights and snacks. Make sure you're not pressured to tip on bottles of wine that you've brought over yourself. read more

My husband and I stopped by on a Thurs evening without a reservation around 5p. We were excited to find somewhere open late (7p). There are 2 options: glasses on the beautiful patio or a guided tasting indoors. We had to wait 15 min for an indoor table for a tasting and enjoyed walking around the beautiful garden outside. We split the Riesling Flight and really enjoyed each wine! My favorite was the sparkling and my husband's favorite was the Tierce, which was a cool concept - collaboration among 3 local wineries - and very crisp and refreshing. We also tasted our server's favorite, the rose of cab franc, which tasted like a textbook rose (in a good way). The overall experience (price, size of pours, atmosphere, quality of wine) was just all wonderful and made for a wonderful first afternoon of vacation. We will return! read more

This was a great and unexpected stop in a day full of electric biking through the Keuka Outlet Trail. My cousin and I reached the end of the trail in Dresden and decided we wanted the adventure to continue. So we decided to head to Anthony Road Winery just a short 15 minute bike ride away. It was certainly interesting showing up to a winery on bicycles LOL. We locked our bikes to a parking lot post and head in. Indoors is for tastings only and we just wanted to share a bottle of wine - so we sat on the back porch overlooking their garden & vineyard. They have beautiful views of Lake Keuka. It's a very pleasant place to find yourself and the wine is quite good. It's a bit of a higher end winery than another one we visited by Lake Seneca FYI. We had their Devonian red and I recommend it - though I'm not a connoisseur wine. read more

We came to Anthony Road this past weekend hoping to score a tasting without a reservation. Thankfully, they were able to accommodate us with a table in a private room. The room had lots of oil paintings displayed all across it, and were also for sale for any patrons that wanted to purchase it. The room in the back had a stellar view of the vineyard in front; I am sure that during the warmer seasons they allow tasters to roam outside on the grass. I opted for the Family Flight, which had a little bit of everything; reds, whites, dry and sweet. I asked our server if I could substitute one of the wines for another and she was kind enough to just add it to my flight. It was so sweet and I definitely wasn't expecting it! After our tasting concluded, the owner came out to greet us and ask if everything was to our liking. She mentioned that she travels to New York City every Saturday to sell her wines at the Union Square Farmers Market. Be sure to keep an eye out for Anthony Road if you pass by! We stopped here on our way to Seneca Falls a couple of weeks ago. I knew Anthony Road wines from the Union Square Green Market in NYC many years ago. I loved their Riesling many years ago, and was hoping it was still the same. It is so hard getting that balance of sweet and dry, to come up with the perfect wine for just drinking or for having with a meal. It's still perfect!!!! We did the tasting for $5 each, and tasted 5 wines. While a couple of them were not to our liking, the Riesling was exactly as I remembered it. We purchased a couple of bottles, along with a sparkling wine. The building is beautiful, but sadly it was raining and cold the day we stopped by, so we couldn't enjoy the grounds. If you are anywhere near here, you should really stop in and try some of their wines. I am sure you'll find something you love! read more

So we had a reservation at 6:15 before they closed at 7 on Thursday and Friday. We were running 10 min late for our reservation. Upon arrival I told the hostess our reservation time and apologized profusely. She was so short with me and said our reservation had been canceled. They apparently don't offer a 10 or 15 minute grace period like many locations. She told us we could not do the tasting we arranged. We probably should have just left right then, but I asked if there was any other option. She told us we could order a glass on the patio, but only if there were seats available. There were plenty of seats available. There was maybe 2 other parties there. So we each ordered a different glass and essentially created our own tasting. They had us order by marking a piece of paper with the wines we wanted. We ordered a sparkling, 2 rose, a Pinot gris and unoaked Chardonnay. We also ordered a dry Riesling and Gewurtztraminer, however the bartender didn't see those on our sheet so we didn't get them which really sucks since that is what this region is known for. The wine was fine, but the service put a damper on the whole experience for us. I know we were late, but she was very curt and the bartender messed up our order so the whole thing was just underwhelming. The cab franc rose and unoaked Chardonnay were the best of the bunch, but nothing here stood out to any of us. read more

The service for the tasting was excellent. The server was very attentive and knowledgeable. The tasting room has a great ambience and, most importantly, the quality of both the whites and reds was consistently good. It can be difficult to find really good red wines since this area is definitely known for their whites, but Anthony Road delivers on the reds. We will definitely make a return visit. read more

I knew about Anthony Road for a while because I've tried their wines at restaurants. I knew they were in Finger Lakes and had them bookmarked on my trip. The locations is a little out of the way for me because you have to drive really north on the west side of the lake but it's worth it! The tasting room itself is beautiful. It's very wide open and has a very modern feel to it. They have a beautiful vineyard and patio area where you could buy snacks from the vineyard or bring your own and enjoy a bottle of wine outside. My boyfriend and I didn't have a lot of time at Anthony Road because we had to meet up with another friend in another vineyard so, we did their tasting only. We had to wait a few minutes for our tasting to begin but I would recommend just exploring the place. You get to try 5 wines for $5. I ended up trying 2 of their reds, 2 whites, and 1 Riesling. It's good sharing you're tasting with someone else so you can both try everything from their menu. My favorites were their reds. I tried their cabernet franc before and loved it. Lucky for me that it was on sale that day so my boyfriend and I snagged 2 of these. I also got their rose because it was really different from what I've been trying at the finger lakes. If you're a Riesling fan my friend ended up buying their dry Riesling which we also enjoyed. The staff were really nice and ended up giving us another taste of one of their favorite reds when we were finished. Also, if you're in NYC you could visit them on the weekend because they sell their products at the Union Square, Rockefeller, and a market in Queens. I'm happy I can get a littler finger lakes products in the city. The women at the winery told me you could also call them ahead of time to bring a certain bottle to the market. read more

I sought out Anthony Road because I had enjoyed the rose for year from Trader Joe's. Very nice space and it seems like they are doing good and interesting wines. Maybe the best wines in the area... Why "seems"? All of the wines were served too warm. We asked about this and the pourer described that they are having some trouble and trying to figure it out as they are redecorating or something. Frankly, I have no idea what is so hard about putting ice and water into the plastic tubs they already have. Maybe they are trying to conserve water by using these plastic sheets of ice cubes they have, which is fine, but you need to still use water at least. Note to management: can't imagine you get a whole lot of opportunities to introduce your brand to new customers, you probably want to be ensuring they have the optimal experience by serving your wines at the right temperature. I think I could tell that they were better than they tasted--more crisp and less tart--but I'm not sure, and I doubt many people realize the wine is better than it is showing. Scheez, doesn't make any sense to me how this is possibly happening. Anyway, rose survived the warmer temp and was quite good. read more

This is one of the better wineries on Seneca but definitely not one of my favorites. Reason being is that with the good location and great views I am not particularly big fan of their wines. Some of my friends are. The wines are aromatic but too much on the sweeter side with low acidity, which is great for Catawba, Vignoles, and the like but for Riesling it's not enough for me. I do love their late harvest and ice wines though. Very few places around have it similar or better. read more

Very welcoming winery to drop in at along Seneca Lake. We had a wonderful time here, and not because of the tastings we did, but because of the evening's festivities we were invited to. The afternoon we arrived here it was a bit later in the day. Anthony Road is a beautiful winery as it almost looks like a small mansion on well taken care of grounds. As we explored the facility we were walking through a room that served as an art gallery. We met the the son of the family that owned the place, and was very impressed with his friendly down to earth personality. He invited us to come back later after 6pm as they were hosting live music in the backyard with their wines on hand and also a food truck.This was not an advertised thing but something they like to do for the locals in the area, and for giving musicians in the area a showcase to perform in a low key setting. As it was a perfect weather day we decided to take him up on the offer as it sounded like fun. Wine? Outdoors? Music? Food? Hell yes! That being said, we trekked out to a few more wineries for tastings, and then headed back after 6pm. The air was cool, it was still sunny out, and we took a table on the grass in the backyard to listen to a few different bands and performers. What a relaxing setting as we sipped away on a few glasses of their chilled Tony's Red wine which we loved. Along with an amazing fried chicken parm sandwich from the food truck we were totally satisfied. Good live music is always a highpoint. Wish we had a hammock to chill out on as it would have been perfect. Delicious wine, tasty food, and fabulous tunes with a terrific view of the countyside. A fantastic way to end the day. Anthony Road made major fans out of us, and will be visited again next time in the area. read more

Amazing winery and even more amazing staff!!! We were a large group of 16, we grabbed some bottles and hung out. The staff was soooooooo lovely and welcoming. We were sitting outside and they asked if we would like them tables and chairs inside so that we could be warm. We moved the chairs inside and had an amazing time. After we were done we placed the chairs back outside, returned the glasses, cleaned up after ourselves and thanked them for their hospitality and serval of us purchased bottles to take home (I myself purchasing 5)... we had an amazing time !!! Wonderful spot. Gorgeous views. Delicious wines. Hilarious service. We did our tasting outside and despite the random downfall of rain that hit right as we walked in, we were safe under the wrap around porch. It was actually quite nice sipping wine while the rain fell behind us. Perfect summer afternoon storm. Onto the wines, we tried several - $5 for 5. Not a bad array of options here. I went the dry route and of the ones I sampled I'd drink again the cab franc/lemberger, the rosé of cab franc, and Pinot Gris. Our group also had lunch here. Our leader called ahead to see if we could bring our bag lunches. We sat at a table on the porch dining on our sandwiches and chips. It was nice to take a breather and enjoy the scenery. read more

What always bring us back to Anthony Road is 'Tony's Red.' It's their most popular wine and for good reason. A red table wine it is suitable for almost any palate, white or red lovers. Everytime I have visited(several now) I always tell myself that I would fall in love with a new wine and not even try Tony's. However, I just can't. There other wines are really just so-so. I would say yes, this is my opinion and you can form your own, but several other winos have agreed. Tony's Red takes this winery from a 3 star and pushes it up to the 4th star experience. The past few times we have gone, they have even had specials on the 1.5 liter bottle to make it even harder not to pass on it. Bottom line: Stop at AR for Tony's Red and you won't be disappointed. read more

We arrived at Anthony Road on a rainy Thursday, and it was our 3rd winery of the day. Unfortunately, it rained the whole time while we were at AR, so I can not comment on the view. The pourer let us know that the view is typically very beautiful, but with the rain and fog, we couldn't make out the lake. The tastings are $5 for 5, but we were offered a 6th because it was the wine of the month. I ordered the unoaked chardonnay, pinot gris (wine of the month), chardonnay, pinot noir, devion red, and Cab Franc/Lemberger. The wines were all extremely good. I believe AR had the best overall wines from the trip, meaning overall these 5 were better than any other 5 we had at another location. The only downside was the server. She was fine, but wasn't too talkative or overly friendly. She described the wines and described the area, but did not seem too personable like other servers at other wineries. Anthony Road is definitely worth a stop and next time I'm in the Finger Lakes, I'll be coming back! read more

We enjoyed an afternoon visit on a beautiful Saturday. My fiancé and I were trying wineries that we have not visited, and we are so glad that we stopped .. PS: to do wedding planning .. Quinn was our tasting room server, and is probably the most knowledgeable young man that I have ever met in my life!! His grandfather planted the first vines at Anthony Road, and he is completely 'in tune' with everything that has happened at this vineyard. Great winery to visit and do a few tastings! Awesome view of the lake and a really cute garden to stroll around and take nice pictures. They were very accommodating of our group of 19 - we called a few days in advance to ask if they could accommodate our group. For $5, you get 5 tastings. The wines are listed by type and in the order it should be tasted in. They also have a few reserve tastings for $2-$5 each. Oyster crackers are available to snack on while you do the tastings. There are some outside seating to share a bottle while soaking up the view and weather. I ended up taking a bottle of the Vignoles home with me. read more
