I don't usually write reviews, but I thought this one was well deserved! Someone had backed up into our garage door and caved in 2 of the 4 door panels. I called AGS and they were available to come and see the garage door and give an estimate an hour later. I was impressed that they gave us options that were right for us and did not pressure us into fixing the whole door. They were very honest in their estimate and told us their personal opinion, but also gave us options to "patch" the door or to fix the whole thing. Since we replaced one of the springs not too long ago, they said we didn't have to replace it and did not charge us for a new spring, which I appreciated, since they could have easily just added the cost of a new spring to the price. We decided to fix both garage doors since the other one was making weird noises as well. They came at 8 am the next morning to fix the doors and hauled the old ones off for us. They were very meticulous in making sure that both doors opened and closed at the same height, so that the panels lined up when you looked at the doors from the outside. The quality of the AGS doors were much better than my old doors and the hinges were a lot longer, which Cory explained, would spread out the tension and keep the pressure from concentrating in one small area. Overall, the price was affordable and I am very happy with their work. We found them by searching on google and chose them, not because of reviews since they didn't have any, but based on their close location (I live in Corinth). We're definitely lucky that they were so good because we could have easily called someone else who could have taken advantage and charged a lot more. read more

Our garage door was having intermittent problems and sometimes would not open or not close (the worst kind to track down), and when we tried to program it, the control would stay in "program" mode after we were done. We called for a service call, and they came out the same day. They found one problem, but couldn't figure out the "program" problem. They made phone calls, looked everything over several times, and through pure persistence finally figured out that we had a wire that was grounding itself. We felt like they charged a very reasonable price for all they did. They were polite and professional, yet still very personable. Later the same day they emailed us our paid receipt. If we ever have garage door problems again, AGS will be our first call, and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing garage door repairs or tune-ups. read more

We had a broken spring and called around. Got prices on the phone as low as $44 for repair. Unfortunately AGS was not the first company we had out, we went with the cheapest. They claimed $44 but then got there and said it would be over $350! So we said no and sent them on their way. Had another company come out that said it would be $129, When they got there he said it would be over $600 because we needed a tune up and a new this and that! Then we had AGS come out. Their price over the phone was higher than the other two, but when they showed up it was still the same, when they were done it was still the same and when I wrote the check it was still the same!! Don't waste your time with the other ones that play pricing games. I will only use AGS for all of my garage door needs from now on. read more

Service performed on 7/13/2012. Dave and Cory are EXCELLENT to deal with. They were EXTREMELY fair, and went above and beyond the service I paid for. I read dozens of internet reviews on several companies, and then asked friends on FB for recommendations, and these guys came up. Dave and Cory were honest about my door, gave me all my options, and then after I chose what I wanted done, exceeded my expectations. From my research on torsion springs, they break every 5-10 years, just the nature of the part. I will call these guys everytime. If you are on the fence about what garage door company to call, I promise these guys will do you right. Called AGS when the remote to garage door lost memory and would not program. David was out within a couple of hours of calling. Access the problem, educated us and gave us a couple of options. Fix and hope for the best due to the age of the opener - might last for years or few days. Or replace the garage opener. Prices on the new opener including install were so reasonable - that the direction we took. Opener was installed the next day. Job was done extremely professionally and fast. These guys are the greatest! Our spring broke on the garage door. Because it was an insulated door (and quite heavy) they called their serviceman who deals with the heavier doors and upgraded the broken spring to a more appropriate one! They also noticed that our insulated door was beginning to sag because those installers didn't install them with the correct braces (that is what I call them...). I called and talked to Korey today because my garage door opener would raise the door but would not close the door. He asked me a few questions and determined that the sensors were out of alignment. I realigned them and the door works fine. The reason I called AGS was because I read all the excellent ratings. I can now add my own. I will not hesitate to call them if i really need something done. The spring broke on my garage door. I was referred to Cory at AGS, called him,left message ( this was on a Sunday), Cory called back in a few hours told me he would be at my home the next day between 11:00 & 2:00, he was here @ 11:15, replaced the spring & replacement rollers, lubricated all, even changed my light bulb and was gone in 30 minutes.
