Horrible customer service. the initial salesman was great but construction was horribl. communication is almost nonexisten. it would take multiple days for a simple response from the construction team. our travatin is a miss match of what ever they had laying around that day. some of it is white, gray or brown. it looks so bad. there are big gaps in the grout, chips and cracks that they are refusing to fix. their crew ripped some screen on my enclosure that they promised to fix and still haven't fix it yet. I would not recommend this company to anyone EVER. I left a review like this one. they called me and told me to take it down. I advised I would take it down when they fixed the issues. he said he would come out to look. he wanted to come out in the middle of a rain storm. I said no and I have never heard from them again. what kind of customer service is this when someone pays over $100,000 for a pool? RUN read more

Agua Pools Saint Johns Florida is exceptional in every way & built a perfect beautiful pool for us in Saint Augustine FL. Look no further - they are dependable and it was great to know our deposits were safe during the process because they are simply trustworthy and Agua Pools has many satisfied customers in the few people we know. One of my neighbors built a pool and they were so happy with it another of my neighbors then used Agua Pools based on their glowing recommendation. The second neighbor who used Agua Pools highly recommended Agua Pools to us and told us they also had two additional friends who had used Aqua Pools & all were extremely happy with them as well. They may more cost more money than others, but they are so worth it for the value and flawless quality. At every level the sub contractors were friendly and respectful of our property. The process is not easy to build any pool, but it was so reassuring knowing they can very much be trusted and that Agua Pools has talented, knowledgeable & great personality workers at every level. BUYER BEWARE! *This is a long post but necessary for anyone looking to build a pool in the future. This post is to warn you about the pool company Agua Pools aka Builders Source out of the Ormond Beach/Daytona area. We hired them to do our pool/spa project in July of last year. The first impression of this company was great. They were one of the only companies that actually returned my call and showed up for an estimate. We were happy with their presentation and decided to hire them, we even got referrals from other homeowners. However, after we made the initial payment, the communication and responsiveness began to decline. I constantly had to contact them for updates and timeline issues. I felt like I was my own project manager, which was not what I expected based on the price we were paying. The biggest issue (among many) that we ran into was that in the attached photo (top photo is "finished" product by Agua Pools.) From the time they installed the travertine paver deck, we were not satisfied with the craftsmanship. It was not level in several places and had an unnecessary slope near the pool drain. After several calls/texts/emails, the owner told me that they did not see anything wrong with the appearance or quality of the deck and that there was nothing else they could do to "make me happy." Luckily for us, we had not paid the company their remaining 5% of the balance owed, otherwise we would be up shits creek and left with their mess. I politely told the owner that we would not be paying him the remainder owed, and would be hiring another contractor to repair/restore this project. He then threatened to put a lien on my home if I did not pay him. I had to seek legal representation at this point and was informed that this would never be valid or hold up in court. After speaking to several other contractors, they assured me that this was not installed per industry standard and was not acceptable. We ended up choosing SA Hardscapes to remove and re-install the pavers and we are so happy with what they were able to do for us! (bottom photo is after) I just want to warn any potential pool buyers to stay away from this company. They do not stand by their work and clearly do not offer a quality product. I would NOT recommend. Overall, we are now happy with the completed project, but it was a hell of a ride getting to this point. As a small business owner myself, I am amazed at the lack of customer service and pride for workmanship. Do yourself a favor and head to the Better Business Bureau website and search for Agua Pools and Spa. "F" rating. That's not easy to "earn." Also check out their google reviews at the Holly Hill location and al. Once you read the reviews and the nonsensical and arrogant responses by the owner, Randy Berner (who you should google as well), you'll know everything you need to know about what kind of people you are dealing with if you should make the mistake of building a pool with them. You have been warned. I'm sure they will respond about how many people they "make happy" every day but if you are unfortunate enough to have the slightest hiccup, you will be very sorry. read more

Spent $4500 extra (Pre Covid price 2020) for tile on the spa and it looks horrible within 2 years ?! The list goes on that I could have easily blasted this company for while the build was being done but the tile and them not backing it up was the final straw. Unprofessional, no communication and zero attention to detail. The owner was rude and we never saw the idiot project manager. The pool build experience was a complete nightmare from start to finish!! List of issues: 1. Design plans were not followed. Completely left out travertine walkway. 2. Had to drill umbrella hole 4 times on sun shelf in order to get it centered. 3. Glass tile installed crooked which they refused to fix. 4. Plaster inside pool not mixed properly which caused bare patches, discoloration and clumps of pebbles. Pitting throughout plaster. Choosing Agua Pools and Spa was the one of the worst decisions of my life. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I really did not want to go with them because of their poor reviews and ratings and "F" BBB rating. We contacted several other pool companies (Eagle, Superior) and due to high demand (Fall of 2021) they would not take our business. Now I see why, all reputable companies only take on projects that they can deliver. Agua on the other hand was eager to accept the business. We worked with Bill Jolly (crooked salesman) on the six figure pool design and after finalization he was completely non-existent. We had issues with them from the beginning of the process. They crushed the A/C line set during the excavation process. They charged us extra for micro dig and used large equipment anyway to do the work causing damage to the house and fence. For this they take no responsibility. Agua will not provide you with an itemized bill and will expect all payments to be payed on time. After the final payment is made, this is before the pool is even finished they will not complete any outstanding work. Once Agua is paid in full they will abandon your projects and go work on the hundreds of pools they contract to build. You can read the owner gloat about how "successful" he is by the volume of business he does on BBB website. Having to deal with Randy Berner, owner, is a complete nightmare. He is just a nasty miserable human being. He has made several disgusting and derogatory towards me and my wife. He is a rude and completely unprofessional. I ended up having to hire outside contractors to complete the equipment installation for the pool and SPA at my own personal expense. You would think that Randy would have the decency to refund my money for not providing all of the equipment and completing the work. If you are looking at Agua to do any work be warned that you are going to be in for a painful process. Read the reviews and BBB rating on this joke of a company before making your final decision. Also, review your contract to make sure you DO NOT make the final payment before all of the work is done. They will abandon your job unfinished after getting paid in full. This is not a respectable nor professional company and they WILL NOT honor their contract. My advice if you love your house and want a pool that will last go with a reputable company even if you have to wait a few months longer. read more

This company was recommended by a friend. I went online and requested an estimate. The lady called the next day and was very nice, informative, and she set up an appointment to have someone come out to give us an estimate. The guy called 30 minutes before he was supposed to arrive and said he had a personal errand run and was going to be late. He said he would call when he was on his way. There were multiple smaller items we were unhappy with but the major issue was extremely poor travertine work. Full sections that are clearly not installed right. We were told that normal travertine maintenance is needed but is not the case as one of their project managers come out(not Julie, the PM for our install) and he was surprised by the poor workmanship, vowing to have Julie initiate a fix. Unfortunately, nothing ever came of it after multiple calls, emails and texts. Once we hit the one year mark, we were told it's no longer under warranty, even though requests had been made for months. The lack of ownership on the quality was disappointing. This review is long overdue but I will try to save anyone from the nightmare of this pool company. The stress and disrespect is unfathomable. When I signed my contract in May 2020, I was told 8 weeks to completion. To date- the pool is not finished. They never marked the yard before digging and immediately tore up my exterior water lines and the electrical to the boat house. I called the office daily for 8 weeks and no one ever had an answer or returned my call. I held the deck payment by 4 days and finally received a call. When I paid the deck payment, Dan stated he only gave me a timeline to get my money. Again, the work stopped. The pool equipment was installed in the wrong location. The heater was installed backwards and has a huge gauge out of the side of it. There is a leaking pipe under the pool that he refuses to even assess. No silt fence so my yard eroded horribly in to the canal. No cement or foundation under the deck stairs which were thrown together and unusable. Refused to bring the yard to previous elevation despite it being required by the city. Every single step of the process was met with aggravation. If you contact them regarding your project- expect to be cussed out and spoken to in an appalling way. If you hire them to do a pool- expect to have legal fees because you will need an attorney.
