I wish I could give them more starts, but I just can't. I'll start by saying that the staff is…read morefriendly. The doctor we saw, however, was disinterested at best. We had two dogs in to see him and he didn't even listen to their hearts and lungs, even though one of the dogs was there specifically for a cough. Blood work was done on him and a stool sample and that was it. We went somewhere else where X-rays and ultrasounds were done and we found a mass on one of his lungs! Our other dog needed a growth removed and they said he would have to be completely sedated. We went to another vet who was able to remove it without having to put him under. Their offices and equipment are old and just don't seem to be up to par. I've been to them in the past for routine visits, but I probably won't go back again.

Let me start by saying that I NEVER leave reviews, but I feel I have not choice but to share so…read morethat others avoid this issue. We booked our golden doodle for a groom. I gave very specific instructions including a picture of what he should look like. He has a beautiful shiny coat, and we have had him groomed quite frequently over the past 3 years. When I went to pick him up with my mom I knew we were in trouble when my mom let out an audible gasp when she saw him. He literally looked like he had been electrocuted, or like a caricature of what a mutt in an alley would look like. His tail was chopped so short it looked like a rope toy, and there were tufts of uneven fur everywhere. The groomer asked if there was anything she wanted us to "clean up" but there was zero chance she was ever touching my dog again. I left and took him home at which point my wife was near tears upon seeing him. I called and asked for a manager, and got a call back FROM THE SAME GROOMER. So that was awkward! I explained I needed a manager, and eventually the owner called me back. He was very apologetic and said this had never happened before. He said that he could have another groomer try and "fix it", but only at their Calverton location, which is 45 minutes from my house. He refused to offer any help at the location in Southold. I took him to Calverton today. The groomer there was very professional, but immediately told me that she was not a "miracle worker" and there was only so much she could do to fix this "hatchet job". She also said she had to fix 3-4 dogs from this other groomer just this week! She did a professional job, and did the best she could, but in order to do that, she had to go really short to even out the places where he had basically been shaved down. My dogs hair is now 3x shorter than it ever has been before, to the point where I don't even recognize him. I called the owner back, and explained that I should not have had to pay for this service, as the other groomer admitted it was not a professional job, and that she had cleaned up multiple other dogs done by this first groomer. Additionally, I had to devote three hours of my day to getting this fixed. The owner said the best he could do was a 25% discount off of a future grooming, which I find laughable given this experience. I WOULD RECOMMEND EVERYONE AVOID THIS PLACE FOR GROOMING AT ALL COSTS!!!

We found Dogtown and was very comfortable from the first day we brought Shamrock for daycare. We also boarded him overnight when I had surgery. We bring him at least twice a week and Shamrock loves going, has a wonderful time and comes home happy. We also started using Heather for Grooming. Love his haircuts! I have been visiting One Stop Pet Shop regularly this summer as we have been living in Montauk. I…read morewas already familiar with the business from my parents buying dog food there when I was younger, so once we knew we'd be spending the whole summer in Montauk this year and would need to provide for our two young guinea pigs, I knew I'd want to do so through a local business and I contacted One Stop in advance of our arrival to order some supplies. They were helpful and efficient over the phone and made a special order from their supplier for what I would need so that it would be ready when I arrived, not requiring me to pay in advance. Throughout the summer I have visited several more times to stock up on hay for my piggies as well as some fun new toys and treats for them. Not all pet stores cater to small pets and I have been pleased with their reliable stock of what I need most (lots of quality hay, at the same price as the big chain stores) along with some fun extras. My young kids have been with me on most visits and have been treated kindly in the store, and the staff has always been helpful, organized and efficient. I will definitely continue to return to stock up for our piggies whenever we are on the east end!

We boarded our four large breed rescue dogs here as we were going to Florida for a week with the…read morekids. I consider our dogs to be our babies, so I was naturally a little worried about leaving them. My mind was immediately put to rest as Carol gave us a tour of the very clean boarding area and the outdoor play area. While we were on vacation, she sent us video of our dogs playing happily in the play area, looking carefree and joyful. When we got back, our pups looked great as they give a complimentary bath with boarding, and they were happy as clams. Another wonderful bonus is that Chateau de Paws is in the same building as East End Veterinary hospital, which is staffed 24/7. All in all a great experience and we will definitely board our doggies at Chateau de Paws in the future!!

They are not equipped to handle all kinds and sizes of dogs. In the past my dog was loved and treated like one of their own. We stopped in to have his toenails professionally ground down before an AKC dog show and the team did such a phenomenal job. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and they handled Brady with such enthusiasm, care and patience - which my 100lb 'ish' Labrador appreciated as much as I did! Jennifer, the owner, was especially gracious. She shared fantastic advice on keeping Brady's coat looking its best and recommended some great grooming tools and products that I'm excited to try. It's always a pleasure meeting someone who truly understands the breed specific nuances of grooming show dogs and an experienced team that takes such pride in their work. I only wish we could have stayed longer to soak up more invaluable institutional knowledge! My more-handsome-than-ever Brady trotted out of our now-favorite-spa with new-found exuberance, his paws show-ready and looking very pleased with himself.
