He didn't even shake our hands in a gesture of condolence. My dog was never nervous at the vet, but shook when Dr. Glinka saw him. They got us in right away; we had so many tests that had to be run and they made sure our older boy was seen immediately. He wound up having a spot on his lung that we wouldn't have known about otherwise. The other vet didn't even listen to his heart. Our other dog had to have a mass removed from his leg and the first place we went said they would have to completely sedate him. Not Dr. Davis! They were able to remove it easily. It turned out to be cancerous, so we got X-rays and ultrasounds scheduled right away, just in case. Their ultrasound technician only comes on Thursdays, so you may have to wait a week to see them. Their pricing is reasonable and Dr. Davis always makes sure to speak with you at every visit. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and I wish we lived here full time so we could always go to him!

Instead of being met with compassion, empathy, and professionalism, they left feeling dismissed, upset, and deeply hurt by the way the staff handled the situation. No family should have to experience the loss of a pet while also feeling unsupported by the very people who are supposed to provide comfort and care. The lack of sensitivity and professionalism during such a heartbreaking moment only added to their grief.I understand that veterinary medicine can be stressful and emotionally demanding, but kindness and compassion should never be overlooked. Hi, my name is Piper Weber and I am a 13 and one half year old chocolate lab that is using my…read moreadopted mom to channel my feelings of gratitude and appreciation for my friend and veterinary acupuncturist Dr. Dawn Greenberg. Dr Dawn has been visiting me about two times a month for well over a year now. Before her treatments, I was starting to limp and having much more difficulty navigating the steps I needed to use to go outside. Jumping on to my parents' bed at night when it was time for us to all go to sleep together, was becoming a hit and miss (mainly miss) experience. My regular vet, whose opinion we respected, had done everything in his power to help me. However, despite monthly Adequan injections, I was obviously still experiencing pain and compromise to my daily functioning. In fact it was during a routine visit to my conventional veterinarian when my mom questioned him as to what else could be done that could help address my arthritis. My vet discussed some alternate non medical treatments. Out of all the options mentioned, he recommended acupuncture as the most effective. He explained that although he didn't offer that service in his animal hospital, he encourages it. He related how he personally had treatments himself, and definitely benefited from them. When asked for a referral to his own personal acupuncturist, we were informed that pets needed different acupuncturist specialists then people, as the training necessary to be an expert and certified for that, was extensive and specific. We decided we were going to try and see if acupuncture could work for me. Coincidentally, at about the same time we actually heard about Dr. Dawn from another source. In addition to the vet's recommendation, my dog walker told my mom about how her 20 year old daughter's Bell's palsy, which was lingering, was almost spontaneously resolved after one treatment with acupuncture. My dog walker (who is also a great caring person, and has three dogs herself) said her daughter's acupuncturist told her about a veterinarian acupuncturist that she said was terrific. Enter Dr. Dawn Greenberg into our lives. As soon as I met Dr. Dawn, her soft voice, gentle pets to my head and reassuring manner won me over. Being a big, territorial kind of guy, it was great that she traveled to my own home to give me my treatments, which greatly reduced any any stress that I may have had, if I went to an unfamiliar office with strange smells and cold steel tables that I would associate with unhappy thoughts. It also helps that my mom stays with me right on our own couch during the treatments. I am preoccupied with conversation and kisses and I usually don't notice or ever flinch as the tiny needles are very slowly applied. Dr. Dawn patiently answers all questions and addresses all my mom's concerns. Dr Dawn is very involved with my health in general, and doesn't restrict her advice to my acupuncture alone. She was a conventional veterinarian prior to becoming a specialist in this field, so she is very knowledgeable. There was the time when after a treatment I was feeling so much better I was able to jump up unnoticed with my front paws onto the kitchen counter and ate some vegetable souffle that contained onions. Boy, when my mom called up Dr Dawn hysterical that she was afraid that those onions were potentially poisonous, Dr Dawn calmly talked my mom through what to do. And then there are all of Dr. Dawn's suggestions, like changing to a more effective anti flea and tick application then the one I had been using for years. She also told my mom about these toe-grips that slip over my nails and help walking by decreasing the slipping on the tile and wood floors. Most recently after Dr. Dawn attended a week long out of town advanced training course for new treatments and told us about a video she became aware of there, that had strength training exercises to help with weakness in my back legs, which she explained is one of the problems. Then, there was one time when I missed my Adequan injection at my general vet. Due to my mom's working schedule I would have had to wait another whole week to get it. When my mom voiced her concern about the delay, Dr Dawn ran into her car and returned with the proper Adequan shot and gave it to me right there and then! Talk about service with a smile. I have the utmost respect for her and am so glad to have the very nice Dr. Dawn in my life. In addition to looking forward to her visits (I even get so excited I jump up to greet her) it really seems that the treatments are helping me. Since I am very allergic to almost everything, typical analgesic pain reduction medications are out of the question for me. So, without the acupuncture treatments, I am afraid that my life would be so much more restricted due to pain. Saying goodbye to a beloved family member is never easy, but Peaceful Transitions made it as positive an experience as it could be. Our sweet senior dog had been dealing with some health problems, but when we woke up this morning he was unable to walk and was showing signs of neurological issues. When he didn't improve throughout the morning we were about to take him to the emergency vet as his usual vet is closed on Sunday, but then I saw a listing for Peaceful Transitions and we decided to give them a call. They were so incredibly kind on the phone and even though it was a Sunday and they had a full schedule today, they were able to fit us in only a few hours later. They explained the entire process to us over the phone and answered all of our questions, helped us with planning arrangements for after he passed and we were able to pay our invoice easily online before our appointment . Our little guy always got very nervous at the vet, so having someone come out to the house where he could be comfortable and peaceful in his own environment was a blessing. Dr. Matheson was so kind and extremely patient, he examined our little guy, went over our options with us and reviewed the entire process once we were sure we wanted to move forward. They encouraged us to have a special treat for him and a favorite toy, to help distract him while the doctor got him ready. He never could eat bacon normally as it upset his tummy, but he loved it and was so happy to munch on pieces of it while the doctor got prepped for the procedure. We were able to say goodbye to him as he rested peacefully in his own bed surrounded by his favorite toys and blankets and the people who loved him. After the procedure was completed Dr. Matheson stepped out to allow us some time alone to say goodbye, and then made us a nose and paw print and framed them for us. He transferred him into a basket lined with blankets and let us carry him out to the car, to be with him for his final journey. He was so kind and supportive every step of the way, and we are forever grateful to have had this experience. Our hearts are broken over losing our baby, but this is the only way I would ever want to do this again in the future. No rushing to the vet, no fear for our dog in a strange environment, just love and respectful care as we said goodbye. We were also concerned that the price for in-home euthanasia would be too expensive for us, but it actually was in line with what our vet would have charged, and cheaper than the emergency vet. Thank you again to Dr. Matheson and Peaceful Transitions for making what is a stressful and difficult experience as positive as it could be, and for taking such wonderful care of our little guy and us.

We enlisted Dr. Bill's services as she gets extremely scary in situations she's uncomfortable. It was evident this man used to handle big scary animals because he wasn't phased in the slightest bit. Went into the bathroom with her and assessed the situation. We were informed that the best route would be a sedative which we rather would not do, but because she wasn't peeing it was an emergency to get her sedated so that the blockage could be dealt with. He was a professional and a badass. We thank him for his services and the fact he rushed over when he heard the reason we needed his services. In matters of UTI and bladder issues in cats, time is of the essence. Thanks Dr. Bill will definitely be calling again.
