The trees came with a one-year warranty. Unfortunately, two of them died within that warranty period in 2025. I contacted the nursery numerous times and spoke with Heather, who manages the business. I was repeatedly assured that the issue would be addressed and taken care of, but no resolution was ever provided. After following up again in 2026, I was surprised to be told that the trees had supposedly been planted by "someone else," despite my understanding that the purchase and planting had been arranged through Jake's Pondside Nursery. I gave the business many opportunities to honor their warranty and resolve the situation, but after repeated calls and promises, nothing was done. Based on my experience, I found their service disappointing, their prices high, and their customer support after the sale unacceptable. I would strongly caution others to get all warranty promises in writing and be careful before making a large purchase here.

Under "fruiting plants" in nursery stock, I found what was basically a comprehensive list of all the fruit I could think of...so we just decided to head over and take our chances. When we arrived and walked around a bit, I realized that they actually HAVE pretty much everything on that comprehensive list, because this place is massive and awesome. I don't think I can possibly list all the things they've got, but I feel pretty confident saying that their selection is better than anything you might find in the surrounding area: Trees, shrubs, evergreens, bushes, perennials, herbs, succulents, conifers, flowers, vegetables, vines...you want plants, they've got the plants. They've also got all the garden supplies you need...plant food, fertilizer, seeds, pesticides, tools, a gorgeous selection of pots, and hooks, and garden gnomes, and more. I didn't know I needed netting to keep the birds from eating my blueberries, but they did, and they've got the netting you need. I should note that my mom frowns on netting your berries, as she believes we need to share with the birds...but she's just a much better person than I am.

To the people complaining about the prices; this is a small business that doesn't have corporate sponsorship or the ability to buy big box store quantities resulting in slightly higher prices, but very much improved quality. To the people complaining about the service; when I was there shopping there were only two people working, which as an adult who works in retail customer service understands, just because it's not busy inside, it doesn't mean the worker's are not busy. I highly recommend Black Horse Farm for great plants, delicious baked goods, and friendly local service. I even want to mention that when it comes to customer service, one of the employees overheard me talking about Strawberry Rhubarb Pie, and when I mentioned they didn't have any, they went to the back and got one for me that was still cooling; that's customer service. So, if you are someone who appreciates the nuance of shopping local, I can not recommend Black Horse Farm enough, but if you're a whiny adult who needs their hand held at all times while shopping, and gets offended with someone quickly answering a question while continuing to do their work (again, small staff but still lots of work to do), perhaps you should go to a corporate big box store. Some of my favorite business owners are gruff. That's how you stay in business. You stand your ground while people give you one star reviews for literally surviving this life. Get over yourself.
