We walked in on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch and quickly learned it was opening day. Unfortunately, service was extremely slow. It took 13 minutes just to receive water--our first red flag. People around us were repeatedly getting up to look for their server, complaining, and even walking out. Despite all the warning signs, we decided to stay. My husband and I ordered a Meatball Grinder and a personal white pizza. We waited about 30 minutes for the grinder and another 10 minutes for the pizza. The Meatball Grinder was delicious and the main reason for the 3-star rating. The pizza, however, was just okay. I usually enjoy thin crust, but this one was rubbery, though the flavor itself was good. Getting the check took a long time as well. My husband waited while I stepped outside because the smoke inside was unbearable and irritated my eyes. Once the check arrived, it still took another five minutes for the server to return so he could pay. I think it's really good pizza. I have been four times in the past few weeks, always to-go. I hesitated to try it because of the bad reviews when it first opened up. Today it was really good, even better than usual. I had a personal buffalo chicken pizza and they put extra buffalo sauce on the side for dipping. I also had a small pepperoni pizza. The New Haven style has a little extra char on it but if that's not your thing you can request "no char". The ingredients are great quality and the crust has such a good flavor that I can eat every bit of it happily right to the end. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I believe this might be the lowest rating I've given. Ordered 2 Lg White clam pizzas, lg white pizza and personal plain. The best one was the plain but nothing spectacular. The white was way overloaded with garlic and everyone agreed on that. The white clam was a soggy mess. I can only guess the person who made it did not strain the clams and poured clam juice on the pie. Flop is an understatement. So wet if I was to squeeze it out I probably would have been able to fill a jar of the stuff. Come on, common sense you dump juice on bread, bread becomes soggy. Absolute shame. read more

I would've given it a 5 star but the service was terrible. It took an hour to get our pizzas. People came in after us and left before us. It was not crazy busy either. We went on Sunday at 5pm. One hour after we ordered. The manager should've come over. Someone should've said something. You can tell the server was nervous. We were not happy! We tried going two other times but it was too busy. My son, who is 25, says he will not go back. Maybe after the initial hype wears off and it calms down. But the management needs to step up. Our situation was poorly handled (not handled at all). Also, when it is very busy, the s ole from the oven is almost unbearable. But after all this, I would go back. Takeout maybe. But beware, takeout orders are over an hour as well. We actually couldn't get an order the day before going in. They were too busy and could not handle it. I had a very disappointing experience at this Ah Beetz Pizza location. I've had great experiences at the Delray location before, which is why this was so surprising. I ordered takeout close to closing time and took the pizzas home, only to find that both pizzas were completely burnt. I understand that some char is part of the flavor profile, but this went far beyond that and made them inedible. I tried calling the same night, but they were already closed. I then called again another day and was told a manager would reach out to me--but I never received a call back. That lack of follow-through made the situation even more frustrating. I genuinely want to give this location another chance because my experiences at Delray have been positive, but with both the food quality and the lack of response, I'm pretty dubious. I'm very impressed with the food at Ah Beetz. My first visit so had to try a meatball grinder, small pie and of course a cannoli. I grew up in CT so they had big shoes to fill. The pizza was superb and the crunchy crust was exactly what I hoped for. The meatballs in the grinder were moist and delicious. Way better than expected, due to the number of times that location has changed tenants. I've been in PSL for 30 years and this is the best pizza by far. Service was amazing including the extra meatballs thrown in to go. The front entrance is very inviting and looks like a little European cafe with outdoor seating and lovely ambiance. Went yesterday 1/15/2026, place was so Smokey. They had AC full blast and cold inside with front and rear doors open. Also the smell from the ovens makes it difficult to enjoy you pizza. Very excellent Pizza!! Thoughts on the total experience . We ordered a personal size pepperoni and sausage and a white broccoli garlic. The meat pie was better than white. The crust of the pie was fantastic. The toppings on the meat pie were sparse. But enough to get the idea that you may be sitting on Wooster or state street in New Haven Ct. This appizza is one of the best in Florida I have tasted. They even brought in Foxon White Birch Soda. My suggestion though is to filter the water used to make the ice cubes so it doesn't distort the taste. The service however was a bit disappointing. Ah Beetz would have gotten 5 stars if it were better. The issue was others were seated after us and our order was put in well before. Watched their food come out and actually one table was done and leaving before our food came out. It should not take 40 minutes when others around you have theirs in less than 15 minutes. Not a good look. That said, both pies were devoured in less than 10 minutes! Finally, as good as this apizza is, Fantani's New Haven style pizza is better. We were there at their opening on Jan 6th...hot mess but we didn't judge at the time. It took 1hour before the salad came out, cold pizza, and almost suffocated due to smoke inhalation. Front and back doors were wide open in an attempt to help. What was most concerning is despite disasters happening at every table, there was no sign of management walking the tables talking to customers. Ok...so free bye on opening day disaster. Went back today Jan 17th... Two guys in black shirts who looked like management on their laptops at a table at 4 pm. Salads only took 45 minutes today, no drink refills, cold pizza, no one walking the floor. It seems like management does not have a clue how to run a restaurant. How about a salad maker/expeditor, how about management on the floor doing drink refills talking to the customers, how about giving the waitresses more training, how about bringing in experienced people from other stores? The pizza would be good if it was not cold. This restaurant would be good if management gave more effort, This looks like a take out pizza crew that never ran a restaurant before and doesn't understand or care about customer service. What a shame, the potential is there, but they may be out of business before they realize what's going on. read more

The dining room was full of smoke. They need to get an exhaust fan. They were out of wings. The meatballs were ok. The garlic butter breadsticks were very dry and bland. Waitress brought a small cup of garlic butter which helped greatly. We ordered a small pizza it hardly had any cheese but heavy oregano. Placed an order online, pickup time was an hour and 30 minutes. Got there 10 minutes early, young lady on the pickup counter was in a long discussion with a caller. Pointed out my order and the box was stone cold. I should have gave it back at that point. Got home and the pizza was ice cold(10 minutes door to door).
