I have been here since childhood. Patronized them for decades. Not sure what has happened since I moved to TN but on my visit home both times that I have been here the service has been absolutely terrible. My first visit we came to dine in and were completely forgotten about. I watched as other tables were sat, greeted and served - meanwhile we waited 15 minutes just for water. After another 15-20 minutes we were finally acknowledged - ordered wine and our dinners. When our chicken Marsala finally came out (cold), I still hadn't even received my glass of wine and had to ask again for it. The food was still good, albeit cold, but never had I had such terrible service. Met up with some MC High friends a week later to give it another chance and it was still much the same. We did the window this time and just snagged some pizza but waited for 15+ minutes for someone to come take the order - went inside and asked if we could just get service at a table - they said just give them a few and someone would be at the window. Waited another 10 minutes and finally got our order in. Just really disappointing. This used to be my default spot. Used to bring all sorts of people here and have still been telling anyone that I know that visits the area to check them out - I'll give them maybe one more chance but after that, it's gonna be a skip for me. read more

Cute little restaurant in downtown Stuart. My guest had the Eggplant Parmesan hero and I tried their Calzone. The Eggplant Parm hero was ok with an over abundance, of mozzarella cheese and a pretty tasty sauce. The roll was crispy as it should be. On the other hand, the Calzone was pretty unique and not in a good way. The crust was too thick AND this was the only Calzone I've ever had that had no ricotta cheese. With my Italian upbringing there's no such thing as a calzone without ricotta cheese. Usually, I complain that many calzones are loaded with TOO much ricotta and not enough mozzarella cheese, but, in this case, Luna's has more than overcompensated for that issue! read more

We come to Stuart, FL, every year in January, and Luna Italian Cuisine is a must-come. It's a small-ish family restaurant with a to-go pizza window and outdoor seating. Patti was our server, and she was excellent. She knew the menu and the options available. Hot garlic knots were complimentary and delicious--just enough garlic butter to make one not enough. We ordered the small antipasto to split, and it did not disappoint. Romaine lettuce seemed to have been picked today, along with vegetables, meat, cheeses, light, flavorful vinegar, and oil dressing. Even after splitting it, there was enough for lunch the next day. My wife ordered the small plate of eggplant parmigiana; it was the best she had ever had, even from places in Boston, New York, Jersey, and Philly. I splurged and ordered the veal Rollatini. Two HUGE rollups of tender veal, prosciutto, and mozzarella in a scratch brown sauce, plus a side of ziti with their homemade sweet red sauce. No room for dessert, although they have a great dessert menu. Beer and wine is available. Don't miss Luna's if you're in the Stuart, FL area. We'll be back next year. read more

My main course was Seafood Fra Diavolo and it was amazing! First, let me start by saying we are regular customers every single week. We absolutely love Luna's -- the employees, the food, and the atmosphere have always been wonderful. The girls are always amazing, and that's a big reason we've continued to come back. However, since the ownership change and the arrival of a new general manager, we were honestly appalled by her behavior. This woman -- who is supposed to represent both the restaurant and her staff -- was sitting in the dining room smoking from a pen and drinking wine that we personally watched her pour into her travel cup at a booth while on her phone. But that wasn't even the worst part. She was wearing a dress with Nike slides, walked into the kitchen, took her hair down, and started flinging it around in front of the fan, saying, "Oh my God, this fan feels amazing," as her hair blew everywhere. She was visibly high and drunk. Throughout the evening, employees had to constantly call her over to enter her manager code for transactions, only to be yelled at each time they asked for help. Then we witnessed her speak rudely to a young busser -- telling her there were only a few tables left so she either needed to leave or go wash dishes. When the girl questioned why, the manager snapped, "Because I'm cutting labor," and then abruptly said, "Actually, we don't need you at all," and fired her on the spot -- all while customers were still dining. The servers looked completely shocked. She continued yelling at staff in front of customers for about 30 minutes. When I asked where Jose (the sauté cook who's been there since the beginning) was, they said he had also been fired. If this is how the new management plans to run things, Luna's will lose many loyal customers. The employees are the heart of that place -- they're the reason we come back week after week. To see them treated like this was disgusting and heartbreaking. As we were leaving, the manager filled her cup with beer, put it in her pocket, and said, "I've had enough of you idiots," before storming upstairs. I never want to see a mom-and-pop business lose customers because of poor management -- local, family-run restaurants mean so much more than the big corporate chains. Please don't let one person ruin what so many hardworking people have built. read more

Nice little ma and pop shop located in beautiful downtown Stuart. I've been here for lunch in the past and this time, I came for dinner. The pasta carbonara was so delicious and creamy, I want to say it was the best carbonara I've ever had. Big portion for dinner and the dinner pricing is not bad. (The whole dinner menu was decent price; not too expensive) the meatballs were pretty good and huge. The individual pizza slices were very good too. Honestly, all the food I ordered was just perfect. (I forgot I was still in Florida and thought I was in New York for a moment!) Overall, I enjoyed my dinner and the ambiance here. Service was great and staff were super friendly and accommodating. Side note: Ample amount of free parking in the whole area. Some will be labeled "3 hour parking" but honestly, no one checks and you'll be fine. Beautiful boardwalk area to walk on that's by/on the water. Cute little shops and ice cream parlors and a fancy upscale bar on the corner. The whole area is a great photography spot. read more

Not disappointed in the food, but I'm disappointed that they are now charging $4 for salad that used to come with the meal. And the prices have already been increased. Also, surcharge for using credit card. The shrimp francese was very good as usual, the wait staff is lovely, but I probably won't be going back. People keep complaining how much everything costs (and some of it IS definitely price-gouging), but they keep paying and going back for more. I won't. I can make my own shrimp francese...seems like my circle of favorite restaurants keeps getting smaller and smaller! read more

First of all the garlic knots are the best in town! All of the ingredients are very fresh and the food is made to order with a very mom and pop style feel decor to the restaurant. Located right in the downtown area with plenty of shopping nearby which is a big plus if you are in town visiting. 10/10 recommend Luna's pizza weather you need a quick slice at the pickup window or a sit down meal they have you covered. read more

Excellent service by Patti, a long time employee. Objectively speaking, the worst Pasta Primavera my wife and I have EVER been served. That kitchen obviously does not care what they are dishing. Dress veggies, but served on a plate doused in hot water and WAAAY overcooked pasta. This dish had no flavor, water for sauce with a splash of oil. Disgusting. There is No Way any respectable cook would let that slop leave the kitchen. Our guest had pasta marinara, putrid. The sauce was flavorless, as if a couple cans of chopped tomatoes were opened, heated and served. How this place is open is the 8th Wonder of the World. read more

I rarely if ever leave a review but this is a must!! First off, the garlic knots are second to none. Absolutely delicious. Second, my order was the chicken rollatini in brown/mushroom sauce. It was pure heaven with generous amounts of mozzarella and prosciutto inside. Could not eat it all due to the generous portion they provide. Yesterday we took a long drive up to Stuart from Boca just to have lunch. We ordered the fried zucchini which as always were excellent; just like my grandmother used to make. I had the chef salad - fresh crisp and I love the fact that the cold cuts are thinly cut. My husband had the house sub and enjoyed every bite. As always this place is a true gem, been stopping by over 25 years in our travels. We know whatever we order it is always outstanding. This is a hole in the wall pizza shop. Which is actually what drew me initially. First, the food is good but if you are looking for exquisite this Isn't it. You probably will figure that out based on the ambiance, which I'm not knocking. Luna has always been one of my favorite go to joints. Good casual traditional Italian food. Let's get to the nitty gritty. First they are under staffed and, if you do get service it's rude-ish and if you complain they don't care! Well, you might care when good local folks stop coming in, and all your left with is outta towners! While there are so many far better choices to spend my money at I actually think I will do just that! (As suggested by the owner) They charge you 3 percent to use a credit card which I always find tacky. It doesn't sound like much but when you just dropped $300 and are planning on leaving a $60 tip and now you want to stick me with what seems like should be an establishment responsibility... I'm gonna have a problem. If you can't afford to run your business than either you aren't charging enough or you aren't savvy enough. Either way a cheap business practice always makes me leery of what else are they cheaping out on! I frequent other high end establishments locally which add gratuity or service charges which benefit the server and I have no problem with that, but please don't ask me to chip in and help pay your bills while I'm already supporting your business. If you can't afford the costs of running a business than maybe running a business isn't your thing I probably wouldn't have even left a review but the owner was absolutely rude and has no people skills read more

I have enjoyed chicken marsala and other chicken dishes. The side salad is a great portion and good value. They also serve pizza which is well-received by other diners. Don't forget to explore the daily specials posted on the website. Garlic knots not to be overlooked. Service is friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Restaurant makes the best of a smaller space, feels cozy not cramped. There is also an outside pizza window for super casual dining.
