(Should have been a clue) and I was like great. Walk up thinking I'm going to ask for a table for 5 and instead it's where you place your order. So $260 and a good amount of shareables, burgers and drinks ordered proceed inside to sit. Oh sorry after you spend $260 you don't actually have a place to sit? WTF? Wander wander wander holding a stupid number like a bunch of idiots and finally we find a table that we bus ourselves.. why did we tip earlier? The seating... ha looks like lawn furniture they collected on trash day. Burger was good, fires were good, I'd say Mario's and Irv burger are all comparable. The shareables meant to be appetizers came out after our burgers. Food was solid 3 pushing 4 stars. Drinks, ehh nothing special even though they might try to bill as such. Dropped by AhbA for lunch on Sunday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. The vibe was chill and familiar as though you were hanging out at a friend's place. We had the Caesar Salad w/chicken which was very tasty and a Chicken Sammie which had the perfect amount of heat. A great complement to the yummy food was the friendly service, where the staff check ins on you, doesn't hover or rush you but simply allows you to relax and enjoy your food and take in the moment. read more

Tried to come on a Saturday night around 9 pm and it was so crowded and unpleasant. Also, not sure what they're doing with the space upstairs because it was way bigger when the previous place operated it. Don't think I'll be back. Also extremely confusing that the line at the entrance by the stairs is for food and people waited in line only to realize you could just walk upstairs. Nowhere to sit, hardly anywhere to stand. The drinks were good in this warm night but the poor service and horribly unsafe seating was atrocious. There was a bench that the server said had been broken for a week and 2 chairs that the netting of the seat was torn ( you could fall right through). The server rudely just said. "That's not my call sir" and walked away without any reference that they are working to fix the unsafe conditions. Get rid of the chair that could hurt your patrons. I guess they are just waiting for a lawsuit to happen. Won't return here. Plenty of places to spend my money. read more

Ahba is the best!!! I've been going to the Laguna location for a long time, so I was really excited when I heard they opened a second location at the camp! The menu here has some of the same classic dishes that Ahba in Laguna is known for, like the burger (my favorite burger ever), hummus and amazing veggies, but it also has some new additions that are just as tasty as the classics. I tried the scallops, crudo, lobster roll, and the lamb appetizer - all of these new additions were incredible!! I don't eat lamb normally, but I couldn't get enough of that dish. All of the fish was so fresh and the raw bar was an excellent addition! They have rotating crudo based on what's fresh and I can't wait to try something new next time. Also make sure to order the martini with feta olives to go with your meal! After dinner, we went to check oout the bar upstairs. It's the perfect vibe for a drink with some friends or a date with your significant other. You can really tell how much work went into finding the perfect vintage furniture and art to display. Overall, this new location did not disappoint! The service, food and ambiance is 10/10 and I can't wait to go back. read more

Came here on a Friday for dinner and Saturday for brunch. Dinner was incredible. We waited a bit in line, but found a table quickly inside. There was a dj outside and music playing inside. Definitely a cool vibe. We got a lobster roll, crudo, hummus, and the scallops. Everything was so good. The lobster roll actually had a lot of lobster in it and the bread was insane. The scallops were some of the best I have had. They were in a red sauce and were crispy on the outside and soft inside. Super good! We went upstairs to the bar for a drink after and it feels like nothing else in the area, almost like you're in someone's backyard. The drinks were a little pricey, but they were really good. Opted for a beer for a second drink, they had some unique local beer options too. Decided to come back the next weekend for brunch and got a breakfast burrito. Their hot sauce is legit!! Tried the French toast as well. I don't know where they get their bread, but I need to find out. I'll be heading back here soon! read more

I wasn't prepared for the vision of this place. It used to be an amazing restaurant years ago Ecco. Upscale food and ambiance. The decor has not changed on inside. You order from a line outside which disturbs the entire Camp walking area. You can't get a table until after you order and so no guarantee a table. Once we got in the tables and chairs are old rusted out garden chairs. The wood seats are elementary chairs from 2nd grade. Nothing was comfortable. The person who brings your food doesn't really care if you have napkins or water. You have to find that yourself. It's super loud inside - we ate outside on broken chairs. The food was ok but they forgot one of our persons food and didn't even care, we had to go back to kitchen to actually ask about the food, which they say they forgot Don't bother to get another drink-you have to go back to girl at front. If I'm spending that kind of money for a burger and fries I would expect some kind of service Don't tip when you order and pay, leave money(if you want) on table. It will be perfect to order to go but I wouldn't go back to restaurant it felt like I was at a cafeteria. read more

The place itself is very nice and well kept. Decor is cute and it's very clearly a vibe over food spot. It feels more upscale casual but then having to order and pay before sitting was a bit odd, we were given a number and the food runners would make several laps before finding the correct table. I had the burger and it came out well before my boyfriend's meal. I got the "spicy" fries and they were hard and cold as well as the burger bun. Cool cozy spot in Costa Mesa. I went with a big group of 14 people so they sat us at the large table in the middle. I think everyone in my group got the burger after hearing this is their specialty. My first time at AhbA, right away as I stumbled upon the hostess, I felt welcomed and comforted. I love the vibe of this restaurant! Not only can you order fancy drinks but the food is so delicious. My favorite is, of course, the AhbA burger with garlic fries and the chicken Cesar wrap, and for dinner I love to order the chicken Lolis.They also have a rooftop speakeasy named Buzz's that is filled with ambience. What a nice surprise. I came here without expecting anything and it was completely enamored with this little upper deck bar. The vibe is very cool, everyone's very relaxed and they have an OK wine list but they have a full bar. The bartender was very sweet and she was very cordial and communicative.
