My 8 year old LG fridge recently died on a Thursday evening. I called Nowell early Friday. He is familiar with my kitchen as this was the 3rd time I've worked with him. He made a few recommendations as I had restrictions due to an existing cabinet for it. He understood the urgency as my food was all spoiling. He was able to locate the perfect unit and had it delivered Wednesday morning. It would have been Tuesday, but I changed my mind on the model. I had doubts about his advice to get a GE, but after reading reviews, they supported his recommendation. The delivery guys were great. They were constantly measuring, rather than trying to force the unit and ultimately had to take the doors off my old.unit and new unit. I am tired of hearing about supply chain issues and that's why companies #maytag #whirlpool #AHCappliances can send defective products - a brand new dryer - and expect you to suck it all up while they send a technician THREE times to try to get it to work - replacing almost every part - TO NO AVAIL over a course of 9 WEEKS! We bought over $30,000 of appliances from #AHCappliances. The dryer was installed on October 14, 2021, although we did not move in or attempt to use it until February 1, 2022. A technician came on Febrary 9 - they then ordered: a new motor; a new belt; a new control; a new FUSE-THRML. The technician came back March 16 - FAIL. They then ordered a new harness. What do you consider to be new? I walked into AHC Appliances in Cedarhurst March of 2024 and purchased what I was told by the salesperson to be a brand new floor model oven. Only to discover 5 months later when I started having issues, that what was sold to me was actually a 2015 floor model. Since the oven had sensor and overheating issues, I've been in constant contact with their customer service for months, trying to resolve the issue. When I initially called the customer service they told me that I should have asked what year the double oven was. They assured me multiple times that they would send someone to fix it, but each time, I've found myself chasing after them with no follow-through. I've had to repeatedly follow up, and each interaction has only added to my disappointment. Not only did they not want to replace the oven but their customer service was terrible! This whole situation has been a disaster, and I'm left feeling completely misled and frustrated. If you're considering buying from AHC Appliances, I urge you to proceed with caution. read more

A few years ago after my kitchen was destroyed from Hurricane Sandy I purchased all of my new kitchen appliances from AHC Appliances in Cedarhurst, NY. I worked with Maya and she guided me in the right direction and I have never doubted the choices that I made with her insightful assistance. Not to mention low prices including delivery. Recently, at the beginning of the pandemic, I decided to order an extra fridge for my daughter's garage - this was a relatively small purchase but very important to me. Ordered a refrigerator and got a call from a salesman quickly. The purpose for the call was to sell me warranty services or faster shipping service. I declined both and stick to the original ordered. I asked the guy if my item really is available, he hesitated for a while before saying "Yes, but it will take 6-7 to be there." OK, I can wait, but I suspect it may never come in. If it does, I will update this review to give them 5 stars. Otherwise, I will downgrade it to one star. I am not sure this review will be posted by Yelp. You may noticed that the reviews that show 5 stars did not say much. The other reviews that "not recommended by yelp" are 1 star reviews but provided detail and credible experience with this business. Update: Well it is time for an update. Almost three months gone by, I have not heard from them anymore. Not only there is no sign of the product delivery, but there is no communication from them regarding any delay etc. This proved that this company is a scam. I am giving it one star. Needed a new washer and dryer. I did extensive research online and it's very confusing with good and bad reviews for every model. I decided to go with inexpensive simpler old style machines with knobs. They did not try to upsell me. Their prices were equivalent to the big box stores. The dryer was actually $35 cheaper than the best prices I saw elsewhere. Delivery, installation, and removal and disposal of the old units was about $150 which included all new hot cold gas and vent hoses. Delivery was on time and the crew was very knowledgeable and efficient. Big box stores promise things they can't always deliver, like installing a gas dryer. Best answer on price I could get (from PC Richards) was "it depends." Lowes doesn't install gas dryers here. So all in all I'm very happy with my purchase. Glad I took the recommendation of our long time appliance repair man and went to AHC Appliance. read more

If I could award zero stars, I would. This company does not stand behind their word or their products. When it comes to making the sale, they are on top of their game. When it comes to handling issues you have, do not hold your breath. You better hope nothing goes wrong with anything you buy from here. I purchased a "brand new" oven, along with ALL new appliances for my home and spent thousands of dollars. I have had the oven serviced three times since I started using it in March. My oven has now been out of order since JUNE and every time I call to get this resolved, I get the runaround. It took them TWO MONTHS just to get someone to my house to diagnose the problem. (which is the exact same problem that I have been experiencing since March and they replaced the very same part twice). It has now been THREE WEEKS since they came to "diagnose" the problem and guess what? IT STILL DOES NOT WORK. Instead of conceding that they sold me a lemon, I just continue to get the run around. Oh we had to order the part. Oh we are having it overnighted. Oh wait, it is going to be 5-7 days. Oh wait, we do not know where the part is actually coming from. Oh we actually NEVER ordered the part. Their service department is atrocious. Corey does not respond to emails or calls, Themi tells me he is going to make sure he will have Corey call me back and that never happens. A sign of a good company is how you treat your customers. It should not matter how much money you spend there. Even though I spent a fortune, I am being treated as though I am asking for a hand-out. A company should be accountable for the products they sell and it is clear this company has no desire to do the right thing. They just do not want to take a loss and would rather have their customers pick up the tab. I've ordered from these people for years now, with varying results... Be very careful with them- while their stated pricing can be competitive they often try to "bait and switch" Additionally- even if you stick with your desired item and pricing, they sometimes take a very long time to get the actual item and deliver it. My latest purchase was a complete debacle, first we waited almost 2 1/2 months for washer/dryer while being told it would arrive shortly almost every two weeks. after 3 months they finally said they could not tell us with certainty when the washer & dryer would actually be available, if ever. So we picked a comparable, but significantly less expensive model that they said was readily available. (and that took two weeks!) Then the fun began- it it took almost 3 more months of my constantly chasing after them to refund the difference/overpayment between the original purchase and what we finally wound up with,. And even when the did, they the refund was not in full- the result being I was CHEATED out of almost $200 And this is how they deal with someone they've done business with for many years. Worked with Randy who was wonderful however, it was all down hill from there....During a 3 week time, the trucking company couldn't get my washer delivered to me. tell me a time and not show up.....When I called the Manager Wendy, she was no help at all and when i stated that i was so frustrated with this experience that I felt they knew they had me as i needed the washer and WISHED i could cancel the order, she stated to me, "well let me know if you are going to cancel so I don't put the trucking company out by having your washer on the truck"!!! further, when my last delivery date was supposed to happen, i called the trucking company to confirm, they hung up on me and never showed. Ordered a huge order of over 15 major appliances at the beginning of February. After calling numerous times it is September and I still do not have everything I ordered. Every time I call they leave me on hold for at least a half hour and then pass me around to every extension. Several times I got hung up on, or told that they would call me back, which was never done. I am still waiting for a fridge and a stovetop. I make it a priority to shop at a "Mom & Pop" retail store instead of a big corporate chain store to support a local family business. Well doing so this time at AHC Appliances turned out to be a BIG MISTAKE. I spent over $8,000 with them on ALL my appliances. Well, they took advantage of my phone order and shipped me a Two and a half year old refrigerator (that additionally was defective) that they had sitting around in their warehouse. I have been going back and forth over the last month with them and the manufacturer. The manufacturer states that they never should have sold this to me as they did, and that I had to deal with AHC directly to resolve the issue. Well, AHC has done everything possible to NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY for what they did and rather try to get the manufacturer to give me a new refrigerator. My husband ordered a GE Profile dishwasher and an oven. There are rust stains inside the dishwasher. We have asked to get a replacement, a new one, but they want to send a repair man to fix it. In June I purchased a trash compactor from ACH. It came in damaged and it was refused upon arrival. I waited to be contacted by ACH for a replacement. Nothing ever happened. In August I contacted AHC to see what was going on with the trash compactor. This was news to them they had no knowledge of it being damaged. AHC spent days investigating the issue and I was told to contact another individual. I finally just asked for a credit instead of a new compactor. It is now October and a credit has not been received. When I followed up on the credit, I was then asked to contact another individual. I am still waiting to find out the status on my update. Some people do customer service well and AHC is not one of them. At no point was an apology issued or a credit. I will never purchase from them again. read more

My 17 year old Kitchenaid stove gave up the ghost the Tuesday before Thanksgiving! I was desperate to replace it and ordered one from a local big box store. It arrived that Friday damaged :o( They were no help and it took me until Sunday to find out that they could not replace it. Well I am a baker and this is the Holiday Season and oh, did I mention that I had promised 6 dozen cookies (for three consecutive days no less) to a Craft Fair??? I spent the better part of Sunday calling every place I could think of that sold appliances. I live in southern CT. Finally gave in and called places in NY. Randy got in touch with me at about 4:00 Sunday afternoon. He was the ONLY person I spoke with that day who actually cared that I needed my Kitchenaid stove quickly! Some places said two weeks, some as long as 12/23! Randy quickly made arrangements for my stove to be delivered by tractor trailer truck instead of regular delivery, worked out a very reasonable price for the additional charge on the trucking company, and even filed the Kitchenaid rebate for me! Believe me I talked to at least 20 different people that day and NO ONE cared that I needed my stove. Randy made it happen, kept his word, and was available after the stove arrived to answer questions I had. I will be ordering a new refrigerator soon (the stove and frig were purchased at the same time and I am sure it's just a matter of time...) and you can be sure I will be contacting Randy. It is so nice to know that in this crazy fast paced world, customer service does still exist! read more
