Last year we did a lot of research to get a mini-split ac unit for 3 bedrooms and a living room that would save money, good quality system and reliable installation from the professionals. We got quotes from 6 vendors and Temp Air Systems was the best of all. Jason was excellent and he explained in details the mini-spits ac which was the best option for us. They are licensed installer for Mitsubishi ac systems and when you go with them, the warranty guarantee goes up from 7 years to 12 years with of course there's a catch which you must maintain your systems annually with Temp Air to qualify to 12 years system warranty. I'm very pleased and happy with Jason and his expertise in the ac systems to help us guide in making the right decision and Angel as well who was leading the crew was excellent and extremely knowledgeable and experienced professional installer. Matt came out to do my HVAC inspection…read moreduring escrow, and not only discovered the work was extremely subpar, but actually discovered a MAJOR health and safety hazard left behind by the previous contractor. We were able to negotiate with the seller because of this discovery, and Matt's work helped us secure enough in credits to get a new electric smart HVAC system, ecobee. During install, they discovered a vent was missing and promptly added it. Their crew was courteous and helpful, and took great care to leave my property in excellent condition. They went above and beyond in their work and their customer service. They were so great that my neighbor across the street hired them immediately after. Furthermore, I just had my HERS test, and it passed with flying colors, so the work was done exceptionally well. The inspector told me this system increases my property value - something I am relieved to hear, after so many other unexpected new home expenses! Piggies Air Conditioning did an excellent job with my new Daikin FIT inverter system installation…read more Ruben, the owner, was very patient in answering all my questions and gave me a very competitive price for a variable inverter system. On top of that, they offer a 12 year labor warranty with their installation. Angel, the Daikin Comfort Pro HVAC tech, who installed the system did a great job. Angel was very meticulous about the installation and would send me updates on the numbers on the vacuum test and pressure test. He also made sure that the installation aesthetics is super clean. So far, the system is working better than my expectations. My house feels cooler at a higher temperature than my old HVAC system at a lower temperature. The cost of my electricity per kWh is at least 10 kWh less per day on the Daikin system. The only hitch during the whole process was the install took longer than expected and our family had to endure the heat during one of the hottest days of the month. Not sure if it's possible, but in the future may I suggest offering customers a temporary complimentary portable air conditioning unit, if the install is going to go longer than expected. That would put the customer service above and beyond. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the quality of installation and how my new Daikin FIT system is working. I would highly recommend Piggies Air Conditioning for the quality of installation and the best deal for a Daikin FIT system.

He pointed out that I had huge vents on each side of the roof and the air was escaping, but passively. As hot air entered the attic, it pushed some out the vents, but really only enough to make room for more hot air. He recommended and installed QuietCool fans in front of each attic vent (and one in the garage) to actively suck the hot, humid air out the vents and what a huge difference!! The AC comes on much later in the day, runs for fewer hours and just doesn't struggle as hard to keep the house comfortable! Eddie is the third contractor to address this overheating issue. The first installed small vents in the roof (that did nothing). The second wanted to install ridge vents for lots of $, but that would have just been adding more passive venting. Eddie suggested using the big powerful fans to suck the hot air out my big beautiful currently passive side vents. He gave me two options ($ and $$) and explained the difference. I chose the more $$ fan, which is supposed to be quieter and also has a Bluetooth phone app that made it super easy to setup a custom schedule that adjusts the fans based on temp and humidity (yes, Huntington Beach, humidity!). Eddie and his boys helped me with all steps of the setup; from getting the fans paired to creating my custom schedule. Would I use this business again? Absolutely! Would I recommend this business? It was survived by five angry, sweaty residents of this house... in lieu of flowers, we shook our fists in the air, and tried to run as many fans as possible. After about ten minutes of that futility, I bit the bullet and jumped on good ol' trusty Yelp to look for an HVAC place. Over the years, Yelp has upped its game of soliciting multiple companies for a quote. One of the companies that responded quickly was Meza's HVAC. We connected by telephone, and despite the crazy weather, they offered to come at 7:30 AM the next morning. The technicians showed up on time, didn't dilly dally around, and got right to work. After quickly diagnosing the problem (a small leak somewhere in the line and no refrigerant) I puckered up to wait for an astronomical price quote. Surprisingly, the price for 6 lbs. of refrigerant (an R-22 Freon alternative, which was actually cheaper than the now-illegal Freon) and a line sealant was very reasonable... plus, no one tried to sell me a new AC unit despite the fact ours is so old, you can get in it and kick your feet really loud yelling YABBA DABBA DOO! to get it started. I hope to the gods I never need to call these guys again... but if (OK, when) we experience any kind of trouble again with our AC system, I won't hesitate to contact this company again.
