Today his team, Juan and Adrian, came out to diagnose an issue with the air conditioner. They arrived on time, they were efficient, and they were friendly. They identified the problem, replaced the condenser pump and added one pound of refrigerant and the system is back up and running. They were so quick to respond when I reported the problem yesterday evening (coming out first thing this morning). They were good about wearing protective booties (without even being asked) when they came in the house, and they worked cleanly. I feel the charges were fair and reasonable. I hired this company to install two new AC units for my home, one for downstairs and one for upstairs. The downstairs unit has been working great. The upstairs unit unfortunately developed a leak, but to be fair, this was due to a defective part from the manufacturer and could have happened with any AC installer since it was outside of their control. The owner was quick to respond, and after some back-and-forth emails, he helped resolve the issue under warranty at no cost to me. Their crews were friendly, professional, and worked efficiently throughout the process. This company continues to exceed my expectations and I highly recommend them! My parents moved into a retirement community last month and I'm now handling the sale of their home. A potential leak in the ceiling, possibly from clogged condensation, was identified during the buyer's inspection. Since I live in NorCal my realtor handled the service visit. This is the company you want to do your job! Our compressor died on our very old 5 ton AC unit during a record high heat for the season. After debating whether I should try to fix it or get a new system,1 I started calling for estimates but from experiences in the past had a hard time trusting anyone. Great company. Honest and thorough. I received several quotes to replace a new AC unit for a rental property. 20th Century answered all my questions and were prompt with responding. They were not the lowest quote I received, but I wasn't going for lowest price anyway. I wanted a company that was reliable and knew what they were doing. Daniel was very informative. Once installation was completed, payment was supposed to be made, but due to timing, I was unable to pay them (via check) before they left. UPDATE 9-25-2023. Mini-Split just finished being installed. Robert and his crew did a fantastic job. Robert made sure to ask us where we wanted placement of the main unit, etc. They covered my furniture and put cloth down to walk on. I will defer to the service providers statement of time spent and revise the rating. However the hard start kit was not discussed or offered as suggested and I'm concerned by that claim. While the fee is very reasonable for 45 min of work, I'm only interested in solving the problem, not inexpensive rates that don't solve. We paid by cash and received no receipt or any documentation otherwise the claim of offering a solution that we rejected (we are desperate to fix the issue due to an infant struggling to sleep when ac doesn't work, so no idea why we would reject a fix) could be cleared up. read more
