On top of that, it took forever for air to reach the upstairs. The company that originally installed our system came out several times but couldn't identify the problem. After so many visits with no real answers, I lost confidence in their work. I started looking for another HVAC company and kept seeing great reviews for AARD, so I decided to give them a call. Scheduling was quick and easy, and they even offered a free inspection, which was a nice bonus. To be honest, I was a little skeptical at first and expected a quick visit followed by a sales pitch. That wasn't the case at all. When Joshua came out, he was incredibly thorough and took the time to carefully diagnose the issue instead of rushing through the appointment. He explained what he was seeing, gave us multiple repair options, and even changed our air filter for us before leaving. The next day we received a very reasonable estimate with several options, and once we approved the work they scheduled us within a few days after confirming the parts. On the day of the repair, Allen was the technician who came out. What really impressed me was that instead of simply replacing the motor -- which we initially believed was the problem -- he took the time to listen to my concerns and re-evaluate everything. It turned out the issue wasn't the motor at all, but the burner and a few other components. Even better, Allen came up with a smarter and simpler solution for reducing our zones that required less work and actually saved us money. He also coordinated with his management team to get the necessary parts the same day so the repair could be completed properly. He took his time, tested everything thoroughly, and made sure the system was running perfectly before he left. Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with the level of care and professionalism from AARD. It wasn't just the technicians -- the management team and office staff were also excellent throughout the process. Value is very poor. They quoted 700-900 for air duct cleaning on a small 3 bedroom home. They use an 877 number, so you're talking to hired sales people. Such a service is about an average of 300-350.00 everywhere else. Price is too overloaded, period! read more

Jesus what a rip off. First the good - friendly scheduler and salesman. The bad - double the price of the other bids. I mean, it was ridiculous. This wasn't the first time I replaced my 5 ton rooftop package unit so I know the ballpark of what it should run. Also I let the salesman know I was getting other bids. Comparing apples with apples, This bid came in at double the other bids. Giving two stars for the two friendly people but unfortunately that doesn't make up for the thousands more up charge. Our AC was having issues so we called them and they scheduled us the next day and technician came and checked our machine and it was simple replacement of fuses. He was honest and said our unit if it lasts is a good one unless we need furrion which is banned. He didnt just stop at replacing the fuse he checked our vents and all the components inside the AC to make sure everything is working properly. They charge reasonable amount for service and first check up/estimate is free. Super reliable and fast. Because the one company that had came out before AARD said they dont service "pancake units". We have used AARD on three different occasions, and every single experience has been exceptional. Back in 2022, during one of those brutally hot Southern California heat waves, our AC suddenly stopped working. AARD came out, diagnosed the problem almost immediately, and had our home cooling again in minutes rather than days, big thank you Andy. We were incredibly impressed. Then last year, our blower motor failed. Once again, AARD quickly tracked down the necessary part and, like magicians, had everything up and running in no time. Our home was cool and comfortable again before we knew it. And now, here we are in 2026 with another AC issue. Our capacitor failed during yet another major heat wave. When I called, I was told the earliest available appointment was Monday, which I completely understood given how busy they were. I was prepared to wait and grateful to even be on the schedule. Then we received a call from Rose letting us know they could squeeze us in that very evening! Artemio arrived promptly, was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, and quickly determined that the capacitor had failed again, just like it did in 2022. He didn't have the replacement part with him, but immediately reached out to another technician who did. He arranged to return that same evening and get us fixed up right away. What could have been a three-day wait turned into same-day service. During a Southern California heat wave (the hottest week of the year) that felt nothing short of a miracle. Throughout all of our experiences, AARD has consistently been kind, honest, responsive, and trustworthy. Even when they're slammed with calls, they go above and beyond for their customers. Turned on the A/C in our home for the first time this past Saturday evening, and noticed there was a musty smell. Requested service from AARD on the following Sunday morning, and they had a tech available. Allen came by and explained possible causes and remedies for the initial complaint. He noticed that our system was not working optimally (air coming out the vents was not very cold). Had couple AC-related issues at my home in Southern California and AARD came out to do an inspection right away. The technicians were on-time, and friendly. However, one of the technician said that the AC wasn't working because the refrigerant was completely gone, so we are looking at a leak inspection, repair and recharge refrigerant. It got skeptical so we hired another AC company to do the inspection. It turned out that there is no leak at all. Just swapped the capacitor and AC is working like before. Zero refrigerant was charged. I do appreciate the fact that AARD provided a complementary inspection at no cost. However, if we went with their quote of $1,800 leak repair and refrigerant charge due to false diagnostic, we would've paid a lot more money and fixed the wrong thing. There is simply no way a professional can mistaken a capacitor failure with a refrigerant leak, so to me this is not acceptable and why I rate this company with 1-star. I am quite disappointed, I thought I am working with a five-star AC Company and apparently this whole experience went very wrong. read more

He walked me through what was going on and what needed to be fixed (freon recharge). He was friendly, honest, and an overall pretty cool person. I was in search of a trustworthy AC business as I had been burned in the past. I asked on Facebook if anyone knew of a good trustworthy AC person and multiple people recommended AARD Mechanical. I called them and they were very polite and listened to my concerns. I set up an appointment. Allan arrived on time and was very informative in regards to my mini split AC unit. I had Mr. Sotelo service my home for AC and he did fantastic with my maintenance and looked into my problem with my AC not running in my second floor home. He went down to the source and had AARD send me in invoice to get it fixed. I use to have a warranty for my home but the company would always referred me to low rated companies. I called AARD to have them look at my air conditioning unit in reference to some damage that was done by my puppies. This company runs a tight ship. They were very responsive and kept me updated as to when the technician would be arriving. The technician arrived and immediately diagnosed the problem. However, before the repair was done I called the company who installed the unit and it was still under warranty. I was warned that if another company did any kind of repairs on it, the warranty would be voided. So I thanked the technician, Allen Brito?, who came out.
