(It stopped before 2pm but they still weren't going to open.) I was told to pre-register online and pull up through the drive thru line in the alley for testing. Two people were working under a carport to keep the testing kits separated and each person changed gloves and sanitized before moving to the next car. Results were scheduled to take 2-3 days business days and that's how long they took. (Height of COVID review. 2 years later & they're still tried and true if you need PCR for work or travel. They will bill your insurance as if they did something more than give you a test though. )

There are two doctors at the comprehensive primary care office in Woodley Park. Both doctors are…read moregood. Dr. Shotashvili, is my favorite by far. But it's too bad I can't make an appointment because the telephone system doesn't work. Every time I try to call I get nowhere, so I'm not able to make appointments by using the telephone. When I finally after 45 minutes reached a human, I was connected to the Dr.Niworth. I had to talk to him because I had a negative reaction to a medicine. In order to make an appointment, he forwarded my phone call to the front desk. When I asked why they had not been answering their phones I was told the phone never rang here. When I get to talk to people, everything works like a charm but the phone system is horrendous. It's like something out of the middle ages. I hope they read this and can fix it.

The nurse took my vitals and then told me to give a urine sample; I had to tell her that this was not a urine test. Then at 11:15, 45 minutes after my appointment and 2 hours after I called to make the appointment, they told me all their test kits that I needed were expired and that I should go to the other Medics USA. They claimed they would call that location to let them know I was coming, but as far as I could tell that did no good, as I still waited over 90 minutes at the second location (where service was even worse, will write a separate review).

I can count on every time I come in getting seen at least 45 minutes after my appointment time despite the place never appearing busy. The male nurse does not know how to take blood properly and not only hit a nerve causing my whole arm to become sore (which never happens if taken properly), but I became extremely sick and light headed because of that and because it was so hot in the office. After I was left with a huge bruise on my arm. The male doctor (I'm bad with names) is one of those doctors that start by naming all the most serious conditions that could possibly be related to your issue first to freak you out and then ends with "or it could be a lab error or fluke". Says you need to come back so he can run a full battery of tests, but then when you do he claims the issue is actually not remotely related to what he originally freaked you out about in the first place. In my case it went from you could possibly have Hepititus C to "Oh it's because you're drinking too much vegan protein powder", but let's take more blood to confirm. All in all I wouldn't recommend this place unless you are in dire need or have no other options.

I found this medical business while looking for a same day, walk in service on the web for urgent care. To my delight this company supposedly services DC and comes to your home so I was very excited to submit a request since I'd feel more comfortable being seen in my home. But, to my disappointment, they don't serve "my area" in DC, specifically Deanwood. Perhaps it would be beneficial if they stated on their website which counties, DC wards, etc. that they service.
