I would strongly advise against going to AllCare at Navy Yard, Washington DC. My experience with their office has been nothing short of frustrating, unprofessional, and outright negligent. I had been trying for weeks to get a prescription for my blood pressure medication, which is crucial for my health. After completing my bloodwork, I reached out multiple times, only to be ignored. With only one day of medication left, I had no choice but to walk into their clinic. Instead of receiving help, I was met with an incredibly hostile and dismissive receptionist who acted as though my urgent medical need was an inconvenience. Despite my repeated attempts to explain the seriousness of the situation, she rudely brushed me off and tried to send me away. I insisted on staying until someone addressed the issue. After a long wait, I was finally told my prescription was being taken care of--only to later receive a text message saying they ordered the wrong bloodwork and that I had to go through the process all over again. They finally admitted that the mistake was theirs, yet fail to see or care how this oversight is a major inconvenience and risk to my health. When I expressed frustration over their incompetence, the receptionist had the nerve to tell me I was upset because I wasn't "getting my way." Excuse me? This is not about getting my way--it's about managing a serious medical condition! Their lack of care, dismissive attitude, and unwillingness to take responsibility for their errors are unacceptable. I am now searching for a new primary care doctor because I refuse to trust my health to a place that operates with such disregard for its patients. If you value your well-being, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This experience was so unprofessional that I am going to be filing a formal complaint with AllCare and my insurance company. read more

Dr. Yang is amazing. She is patient. She listens. She cares. I was on a hunt for a great doctor and it's nice to know I finally found one. My husband and I went for our annual check up. Things moved quickly for me. A little slower for my husband who had an appointment at 9. I was late to my appointment, but he was early. So, it may have been me who slowed down everything. We lucked out with parking across the street, but there is a lot close by. It does suck that you can hear everyone's conversations, but I like that the staff is having fun while working. Overall, it was a good experience. Will see her again next year. read more

Had a great experience here. I've had a lot of nonspecific health issues for a long time and recently switched PCPs after growing frustrated at the lack of answers. WOW! The first visit, Dr. Rosie Yang listened intently, took a ton of notes, asked questions, and was spitballing ideas as we went. I felt like I had her full attention and a practitioner was finally taking me seriously. As a young woman we're often told "it's just anxiety", but Dr. Yang was committed to ruling out everything else it could possibly be before making that decision. On top of that, I have insurance that likes to deny everything possible. She intentionally structured everything she ordered to be properly covered (these are all tests I SHOULD have gotten in the past few months) and cross referenced my medical record to make sure everything she ordered could be justified by pointing back to a well-documented symptom. I also got the most painless flu shot while I was at it; I didn't even feel it go in! No, this location doesn't have a lab or radiology on-site, which is common for most if not all DC-area doctors I've been to including specialists. In my experience it is standard to send off samples to labs to process and if I needed scans I had to go to a radiology clinic. If you are looking for a same-day CAT scan, I recommend the ER. read more

I'm not dismissing anyone's experience with the front desk, although the admin staff have always been nice to me (except once when I made the trek down and was told they didn't have a lab tech and wouldn't have one indefinitely, but I should have called ahead and she was still nice about it) but I'm mostly giving 5 starts because Dr. Yang is the best doctor I've ever had! She listens and never dismisses concerns, she makes you feel comfortable and at ease and like you're a team in figuring out even the most mysterious of symptoms. I've brought her issues that have been dismissed by doctors in the past and she's been able to find both a diagnosis and a solution! I've been so grateful to find a doctor I know will listen to me and is invested in finding both the root cause of a problem and a solution, so I will keep coming back to this location regardless of anything else. read more

I have an appointment at this location. As soon I was greeted with "can y'all move to the side", not a good evening. my appointment was at 1:00 and I arrived at 1:07. I had to wait in a line of people to check in and once it was my turn to check in it was 1:10. Then I was told by the lady at front desk that I was required to complete new patient paperwork. Which I looked through every email and the paperwork was never sent to my email. Shortly after she tells me that there is a 15 minute grace period which I understand. But she did not have the ability to resend my paperwork so essentially she turned me away with the justification that I was after the 15 minute grace period when I arrived at 1:07 to the facility. I've been to this AllCare a few times. The doctors here vary in quality, but the front-end staff is truly awful. They are openly rude and negligent. I've been a few times, and every time the staff is either absent from the desk, irritated that they have to check me in, or is messing around and yelling back and forth to each other. The last time I went the nurse sat me down by her desk to take my blood pressure by her desk in between bites of her meal and playing video poker. This AllCare office is a jobs program for the justifiably unemployable, not a doctor's office. I strongly urge you to go somewhere else. read more

This place IS NOT URGENT CARE even though their website states they are. Full story of why I will not be using AllCare or ever seeing Dr. O'Conner again below. I will not be going back after a recent experience after using AllCare for 5 years. My previous PCP left recently (she was awesome!) and I was assigned Dr. O'Conner. The first time I went to see her was for an EKG while sick. Since the 'immediate and Urgent care' they advertise is a lie, I went to minute clinic to test for strep and covid. The doctor there told me to get an EKG because my heart had been racing for 5 days and this could be a problem with a medication I'm on for GI issues. I made the appointment for an EKG and when I arrive, the desk says 'I see you are here for a physical.' I clarified that I was not, just an EKG, and asked if I could get that done. They said yes and had me pre-pay for it. The technician asked why I was there and told me their EKG is probably still broken. She said she would go check and never came back. Dr. O'Conner came in 20 mins later, asked me all the same questions over again. Mind you - I can barely speak my throat hurts so bad. She let me know the EKG was broken so I couldn't get one, but then spoke down to me that I should know the risk for my heart wouldn't happen at the dose I'm on and that if I have an issue, I should get some strap test instead of an EKG. She starts talking about how I should come back in 2 weeks so she can refer me to a cardiologist. She then starts the physical that I confirmed with the desk was not happening. She asks me to breathe so she can listen, and kept demanding I breathe deeper as I was trying not to choke on phlegm. She said I look like crap and then berated me for not going the ER (considered it but was told they had at least an 8 hour wait) and for not demanding more tests. She was mad I didn't know what I had, but didn't offer to test me for anything, seemed mad someone else hadn't already done it. At this point I asked why this appointment was even confirmed if the machine was broken, and she lectured me that everyone did the right thing since they 'used to offer EKGs'. Okay, but I called this week and your machine was broken - why confirm THIS appointment? She then blamed the OTC meds for my heart racing, said with a tone of 'why would you take these you idiot?'. I told her I just started them yesterday so that doesn't explain my heart racing for 5 days before that. I asked again why I paid for an EKG if they can't offer one and she said 'I can't even tell you why we're charging you, we probably shouldn't' but said nothing about how to fix that. I looked visibly annoyed at this point and was ready to just walk out, but Dr. O'Conner started lecturing me that I hadn't been in for an annual physical recently. I went at the end of last September and insurance pays once a year, so I'm not sure why I got this rude lecture in July as if I were neglecting my health. I told her I don't want to schedule that now and she said 'Well yeah, of course you aren't right now.' Okay....so why are you lecturing me? I left at this point, realized no one as at the desk to ask for my money back since they confirmed a service they couldn't offer and were charging me for a service I said I do not want and was forced into against my consent. Called billing to get my money back. They put me on hold for 20 minutes and then hung up on me. Called back and they told me they could credit it for next time. I said I won't ever be back, this entire experience has been predatory and degrading. They mumbled something about needing to wait 5 days for the credit to reflect. I'll be following up in small claims court to get my money (and the uber fare since I didn't walk over out of fear of my heart racing) and letting my insurance know they are committing fraud billing for this visit. read more

I've been here multiple times because it's extremely convenient, each time has been awful but this will be my last try. Truly the worst medical experience I've ever had, somehow every time! The office doesn't open at the hours they say they do, I stood outside the doors for 20 minutes waiting for someone to show & they never did. Came back in the afternoon with an appointment against my better judgement. The nurses are incredibly dismissive, & unwilling to explain or express any kind of empathy. The doctors have all been very kind, however you can hear entire conversations within the rooms. read more

I wasted my time showing up to an appointment where Dr. Yang's astoundingly lazy staff told me, for the first time, that my insurance policy was expired. I asked if they used the policy that I uploaded as part of my onboarding and all I got was an incoherent non-sequitur where the useless woman at the front desk was showing me what appeared on her screen (as if it's somehow my responsibility to figure out the communication issues between their system and my insurance company). read more

I had a pretty bad experience. I came in explaining that I was exposed two people with pneumonia for the holidays. They for some reason were baffled by my respiratory symptoms claiming they don't know what it is since they tested for Covid, flu etc and all came up negative. Hello.. I was around people with pneumonia. They listened to my chest and said it sounded fine (but pneumonia can hide from stethoscopes). She told me to come back in for a chest x ray if my fever comes back. My fever came back, I come back in. And the new doctor says they don't do chest x rays. She refers me to another all care location for chest x rays. I go. And then they tell me that they don't do chest x rays. You can imagine that the longer I go without care the more my symptoms worsen. I had a 102 fever by this point, a 110 heart rate, high blood pressure, and was having coughing fits. The doctor came in to tell me they were referring me somewhere else for x rays. I said please can you give me antibiotics. For some reason these doctors won't give me antibiotics not even a steroid to help me. And the new places I was referred to had horrendous wait times. By this point, my mom tells me to just come home and we'll go to an urgent care near them because they will treat me. I had to travel home to seek treatment. The night before I left i was having shortness of breath. I coughed so hard I threw up. When I went to a new urgent care at home, they did chest x rays, found that I had mid lung pneumonia, gave me two antibiotics, a steroid, and bromfen all in one appointment. I was amazed. If I had waited any longer in DC for care, I would have been hospitalized or died because pneumonia only worsens and if left untreated can be deadly. I have no idea what's going on with these doctors or what rules they're under but playing with pneumonia is no joke. And I cannot understand why if I tell you my entire household had it and I was exposed that you would come to the conclusion it's just an upper respiratory infection. I also have asthma so that did not help the situation at all. read more
