The decor was gorgeous, elegant, classic, and very quaint! Service was phenomenal and it's a small establishment so you feel very appreciated.

The vanilla filling is to die for. We've taken visiting friends to Méert and bought more and more of their gaufres, but never had we actually eaten in. We decided, after seeing their luxurious looking tarts, that we had to try them. When we arrived, all the tables out front in the Galeries Royales Saint Hubert were full, as well as the small number of tables in the actual shop. We ordered our tarts and only had to wait about five minutes before a free table opened up and we were seated. We ordered the Tarte Yuzu and the Jardin D'Eden. You can read the description of both, and all the others, in the pictures I attached. We also ordered tea. I recommend smelling all the teas in the shop before you decide on which one to order, as they all sound delectable. The tartes were amazing. So we'll prepared. The Yuzu was both of our favorites, but the Jardin D'Eden, a pistachio confectionery, was in no way bad, we just preferred the Yuzu, mint and lemon confit, and the hazelnut crunchy layer. When we come been, and we definitely plan on coming back, we're going to get another Yuzu and try a different tarte for tarte number two for next time.

I especially recommend their Montblanc, tarte au citron and St Honoré. Their "cake du voyage" is also great. Unfortunately the people that serve you are not that friendly. A mere croissant doesn't get you a smile!

Again the wife and I were off on our journey to simple the various patisseries throughout Brussels. We had wanted to get a bûche de Noël around Christmas time and stopped into this patisserie to see what they offered. Although the Yule logs weren't what we were looking for we really took note of the delicious looking patisseries. We walked by numerous times prior to our visit there last week, and after grabbing a sandwich around the corner we decided it was time to finally get ourselves a couple little treats. The shark is beautiful and clean and quiet and we, after staring through the window with the prospective patisseries, decided to go with a strawberry rhubarb as well as a peach mousse. The red one with the cookie on top in the picture is obviously strawberry rhubarb, and the whiter one with the white chocolate leaf on top is the one with peach mousse. I remember it also having a tropical note to it. These were delicious. It was cleared that time had gone into them as the layers were well-defined and beautiful and the flavour of the strawberry rhubarb was very strong and a nice mixture of sweet to tart. It was my and my wife's favourite of the two, but that's not to say anything bad about the peach one. With seasonal patisseries and different varieties of cakes and tarts, you can't really go wrong if you happen to be in Châtelain to at least walk by the window and rule over these delicious patisseries. In fact you'll be better off stopping in and getting a couple.
