The MC needs to record meditation audio. His voice is so soothing. If you want fire this show has it. Much more than a standard luau. The drumming was fantastic. The buffet was average. Drink options for purchase were good. Parking was good. Very family friendly and entertaining.

We bought tickets for the 530pm show. We arrived at 415, parked the car near the pavilion (which we found out was at the bottom of the hill) and then walked up the stairs to where the mini golf/bar area was located to get a drink. We headed back down at 5, knowing the gates didnt open until 530, in case there was a line. There were at least 20 people ahead of us already! At exactly 530, a nice looking guy with beautiful eyes comes out to give us instructions. Check in with your name, walk to the pavilion and place a personal item to save your seat. Me and my friends brought our light jackets just for that and found seats on a couch. We then lined up for the buffet. Im glad we arrived early because we had time to eat (it looked like they ran out of food near the end) and get some ukulele lessons. At 645 we sat down to watch a husband and wife duo play music and hula. Quick break and the fire show began. History lessons, the beating of the drums, a little comedy, some call and repeats, exciting dances with and without fire created a really fun show. It was a nice way to spend our last night in Kauai!

On our recent stay in Kauai our hotel concierge suggested a local community event nearby. Local Hawaiian performers on Friday nights at Porter Pavilion. It peaked my interest. I purchased three tickets online same day. For $59 it included a buffet. It was a short drive from the Westin. Under 15 minutes. Parking was free. Doors promptly opened at 5:30pm. Gave my name, and was advised the buffet was opened now. The three of us headed straight to the buffet line. The buffet included- * Caesar salad * Mac potato salad * Kalua pork and cabbage * chicken teriyaki * sautéed veggies * sweet dinner roll * white rice * coconut cake No host bar serving alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. It was open seating. Five round tables of eight. We sat at the elevated bar table facing the stage. Also rows of chairs facing the stage. At 6:30pm the entertainment began. It was a family affair. Dad and his two sons. The dad originally from Tahiti 30 odd years ago. They played and sang Hawaiian favorites and Tahitian influenced music. The Porter Pavilion is a small casual intimate venue. Not a bad seat in the house. It was a nice evening of food and entertainment.

Picture opportunity with select performers after the show.

This was an awesome event with great performers. The event is held outside under a pavilion, providing protection from the rain storms that were prevalent during our trip. The emcee provided a brief and interesting history of the various dances that were performed throughout the show. This information has never been shared during the various luaus I have seen. Located on the North side of the island, just over an hour drive from the Marriott Waiohai Beach Club. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing. They put on a great show with story telling. The location is huge and welcoming for family and kids. Our boys did mini golf before and was a hit. We adults listened to an artist perform while enjoying a nice mai tai.

We had a fantastic evening with our front-row VIP seats. The entertainment was excellent! Dancing, singing, drums, fire show--a memorable show in all ways. The buffet food was delicious. We're planning a return visit when our son visits in April.

The Ahi Lele Fire Show is a definite must see if you're visiting Kaua'i! It's entertaining and educational, and the buffet dinner is great! If you have time, play a round of mini golf before the show!

This was a lovely evening. The team was so accommodating and delightful to my (almost) 101 year old mom and she had a great time. Special kudos to Calvin, who treated us right from beginning to end. Food was uncomplicated but tasty.

It is a not to be missed show. Even more so if you are living in the north shore. Although they depict some small part of the Polynesian culture it shows the talent they have and willing to bring it out to the people. It's family run and so even more interesting. The show builds up and ends with a lot of excitement. Food is very flavorful but served buffet style and bu the caterer. If you have a big appetite then be warned to eat something before or ask for more portions. But if the crowd is not large then you are fine. One star less tor this. It's really half a star but there is no option. The show by itself is wonderful and shows the dexterity of the artists. Not to be missed if you're in the area. It's waaay different than the regular luaus. Also being a small area it's easy to be close to performers. Thr number of Polynesian cultures they bring in to showcase is a huge plus.

SPECTACULAR! I highly recommend this dinner show. The food was great, the show was better and the ambiance and staff was on point. If you are in Kauai and want to enjoy a historical show where you actually learn about the culture then I recommend this show. We paid a little over $300 for two VIP seats and dinner which also included 2 cocktails.

Absolute respect for these families and their effort to educate on and demonstrate their culture.... Wonderful event... well organized, relaxed, and so entertaining! This was an event that left me inspired and in awe of their skills and talents. The food was delicious, so were the drinks, event was well organized and they performed in the rain! Thank you for sharing with the visiting community and for not cancelling due to rain. We enjoyed thoroughly and will HIGHLY recommend to others. Mahalo!!

What a fabulous experience! There was only one other couple on the tour, which lasted nearly four hours. Howard and Sally gave us the full story of how they came to be chocolate farmers, took us on the tour of the property, we picked our own ripe pods, then opened them to taste the matrix. They then took us into the building where the chocolate is made, showing us the step-by-step process. Both are great communicators, with a gentle mannerism and easy humor. The final part of the tour included a tasting, with the option to buy some of the chocolate, the amazing brownies that Sally makes, homemade vanilla and also the local honey. We both left very inspired by Howard and Sally's story and dedication. If you are inclined to take a chocolate farm tour, HouLau is highly recommended for a personalized and memorable tour.

The farm tour- at least with the guide we had- was a wander through a small organic garden with a guide describing some plants that might be exotic if you're from the mainland- it's pleasant and interesting. There's no serious description of agriculture on Hawaii or why Hawaii has to import food or what might be done about it. There was no asking for questions, and a maybe 30% disinformation content. I'd suggest the owners list on the menu for the day where each item comes from- clearly that's what their clientele is interested in? Some of this might have been covered in the 4 minute meet with the chef, but I didn't retain it. It would be fun to know what all the ingredients are. Any last minute unforeseen swaps could then be discussed before the meal, since the visitors are interested in sustainable Ag we'd be interested in its unpredictability too.
