From the first phone call for an appointment, the lady who picked up the phone was very nice and clear. She told me that this doctor is located in a house and that there is parking out back. Walking into the house from the front door, you have to guess which of the three doors is the correct one. (I guessed the door on the left and got it right the first time, whew!) On the day of my appointment, there was no wait at all. The nurse/clerk was very very nice from beginning to end. Dr. Derzie explained everything to me very clearly and the appointment went smoothly. He knew my case without me having to explain what surgery I had. He called one of the nurses into the room with me during my appointment so that I would be more comfortable. I was in and out of the office within 15-20 minutes. I would recommend this place for sure!

I brought a friend with COPD there after she had already been seen at two other urgent care centers. Despite her medical history and worsening respiratory infection, those facilities failed to provide the medications she needed and only prescribed antibiotics. After being treated at StatMD, she was given the appropriate medications, and her condition improved significantly. I respect nurse practitioners and physician assistants and appreciate the important role they play in healthcare. However, when I'm seeking medical treatment, I prefer to see a physician. At StatMD, you see a doctor who is knowledgeable, experienced, and willing to make informed treatment decisions based on the patient's condition and history. If you want quality care from an actual physician, I highly recommend StatMD.

The front desk staff is not friendly, can be rude and argumentative and makes even the most simple things complex. There were multiple incidents that led me to change practices. Once my son was given a prescription and it wasn't called into the pharmacy as promised. By that point, the office had closed for the evening and there was no way to get it. I called the next morning, and the woman on the phone kept insisting it was done and acted like nothing could be done to help. No exaggeration, I had to plead with her to stop the drama and call it in again if that was the case. Another time, we were kept waiting for almost an hour for our appointment (with a baby!) and when I went to inquire about when we would be seen, the staff was too busy complaining about their new computer system, literally cursing, to address me at the window. I patiently waited for several minutes until I finally interrupted them. I'm as foul mouthed as the rest of NYC is, but in a doctors office? While ignoring your patients? In front of children? There was another instance where it took about 15 minutes to make an appointment. The woman kept having side conversations, she would put me on hold without saying she was putting me on hold, and then said she had to enter my son in the system again. When I got to the practice, none of the information I gave her was in his file, and I had to give it to them all again. I could keep going, but I am sure you get the idea by now. These last three incidents happened in rapid succession of each other, and I left the practice immediately after. You also never get the same doctor. I had specifically requested the same doctor several times, and it was never communicated to me I wouldn't see our preferred doctor until we were in the exam room. I loved every doctor we saw, but the hoops and hurdles to get there were too much.

OMG WHAT A SH*T SHOW! The service is terrible across both the Hewlett and Cedarhurst location. I…read morewent to the hewlett location for a workers comp injury and was advised that the X-ray tech would be in between 6:30pm and 7pm. After waiting until 7:30pm, I was told that I would have to go to the cedarhurst location for X-rays. . I mean talk about incompetency. I was seen by the provider who couldn't tell me anything unless X-rays are done so why waste my time seeing me ??? To transfer me to another location ? Nevertheless, I went to the cedarhurst location and the front desk staff was clueless as to why I was there ‍. I stood and explained why I was there and they decided (?) to see me. While waiting in the waiting room, at exactly 7:40pm, the front desk turn off the lights in their area and the tv in the waiting room because they were not accepting anymore patients . It gets better at 8pm, all the front desk staff was gone while there were atleast 3 other patients waiting in the waiting room. My mind was blown. Literally! I am not sure whose doing the hiring process or what they are trying to achieve but it's sure not patient satisfaction. Who manages these office ?! I manage a dermatology practice and if this is how my staff was, I would've been fired by now.

It is set back in the parking lot so it is hard to tell if it is open or not if you are just driving by I saw the PA. After hearing my concerns she examinee my nose. She was unsure it it was true sinus or a dermatlogy issue so She recommended some hot/cold compresses and also rx me an antibiotics if it doesnt improve for me to go to the ER.
