These guys never make me feel like my questions are too small and there is always a good natured vibe in the store. This review is overdue, considering it was almost nine years ago when I first walked in carrying a broken faucet head in my hand like an idiot.

I've probably come in nearly 10 times since moving to Bed Stuy less than a year ago and they've been lifesavers. From helping me select the correct sizes of screws for furniture building (and letting me exchange incorrect sizes on the house), to recommending plaster and sealants to showing me how to use wasp spray, the employees here really care about their customers and are just great overall. They have a large selection of screws and nails, different grains of sandpaper, buckets of plaster and lots of various home improvement tools. What I needed took some time to create, but the owners answered all my questions and was very communicative throughout the process. Their stock seems to be more parts, rather than complete items - but that's kinda the cool thing. If you're interested in custom lighting options, it might be worth just to drop by this place. The look and feel of the store is what I would believe and old fashion Brooklyn Mom and Pop hardware store would be like. The store is around the size of a mid size to large Brooklyn apartment studio in size, give or take a regular bedroom length in size. Given what I just said about the size, they are limited in what they carry, but for their size the selection is still good. The items in the store are in an orderly manner. The people working within Torres Hardware are very friendly and willing to help, and are also very educated about hardware matters. The items in the store are price clearly for the most part. If you do not see what you are looking for just ask, they might have the item but it might not be displayed because of the size available. The price is not the cheapest; I would state the price is reasonable. This review is only about the hardware store not about the computer repair section they have in the store.
