If I could, I would give more of a 3.5 score than a 3. Great option for little ones compared to SkyZone. Small and compact, wish it was bigger for the amount of ppl. First walk in and it seems packed for the size. All tables are taken, but wait about 10m and a table will open up. We were told the rules when entering, especially about no peanut products or food / drinks from outside. Once we sat down, you see outside food / drinks which leads me to assume that there is no enforcement. Space is divided into a small area for toddlers and a larger for big kids (adults can go into both). The staff hung out in the food areas and reception, leaving the parents to manage the play areas. Negatives I found was the cleanliness. Look at anything 6ft or higher and it is covered in thick layer of dirt and dust. Which is concerning as the blocks, walls and foam areas that are constantly being touched. One reason I chose not to purchase food. When ppl left, tables were not cleaned. Would be nice to have a disposable towel bucket (ie gym facilities) to be able to clean the tables. The place is not bad, just some negatives that concern me with this many ppl and little ones. Positive is that parents can follow their kids almost everywhere. So the larger / older kids tend to be more respectful when running around the little kids when there is an adult in the area. Everyone seemed to be having fun, I did not hear anyone complaining (tables are close, so be ready to hear others conversation and then hearing yours). read more

We've had a membership for almost a year and we love coming here on rainy days. We recently just had my daughter's 1st birthday party here as well, and the party went over really well! The staff were very helpful and kind. Saturday's are busier days for them, but we have no complaints! They accommodated us two days before hand due to weather. This has always been a great place for kids to play and have tons of fun. Depending on the day, some days are better than others. The biggest offenders are kids climbing up the slides or playing in the middle of the slides. Parents should monitor their kids but it would great if the staff walked around to monitor the kids. The staff has always been great when anything is reported about kids being bullies or horsing around. Some parents just don't watch their kids and are socializing or working and ignore or forget about their kids. I do socialize and play on my phone but I try to keep track of where my kids are and their they're doing. This place is always clean and seems to be improving their facilities. My kids and I genuinely love this place. My kids play non-stop and it gives me an opportunity to sit back, relax, and watch them safely play from a nearby table. There is an area for smaller children that has open ended toy play, as well as the main playground. It's clean and the staff are very friendly. The only downside is that you can't bring in your own food/snacks. My kids have fallen in love with the snack bar, which is extensive. They also have hot and cold food options, a coffee menu, milk shakes, ice cream, drinks for kids and adults, etc. I have nothing had to say about this place. I would have given a better rating if they were more accommodating to kids with severe food allergies. My son cannot eat a single snack option they sell inside but they refuse to allow ANY outside snacks even for babies/toddlers who they do not offer safe food options for. This is severely disappointing considering they sell a TON of food and drinks inside so it's not about not allowing any food or drinks you just cannot bring your own even with anaphylactic allergies even though they don't sell fully allergy safe snacks. Seems like discrimination to me. Not sure if I will be back considering this limitation. For the price of $16 a kid you want to stay more than an hour to get your money worth but can't bring safe snacks for your kids. read more

I changed my review because of the fact that they are no longer charging per child but rather per table. $40 per table only is convenient with multiple children. Sure I could set up a playdate but once in a while it's nice to just randomly go here when my child needs to run around. $40 is also not very budget friendly for any single parents or struggling parents. We love Ahoy Kitsap! Our 3.5 year old could (and does!) play there for hours. The staff is kind and helpful. They even offered to give us a voucher to come back one day when our preschooler was having a hard time upon arrival and it wasn't clear if he'd end up getting anything out of it (his mood improved once we got inside and he had a great time!). The older kids were throwing large blocks and being to rough plus to old to be in that area. staff were not monitoring the area nor where parents monitoring their older children out of this area. We had our sons first birthday here and I loved everything about it with the exception of feeling rushed in the party room because it's only for an hour! At $270 I woulda appreciated more time. I will recommend ahoy for a birthday party to everyone after my experience today! Ahoy saves us in the winter so when my son asked to have his party here I was all in. But after a seamless birthday party today we are even bigger fans! They are so thorough and helpful, and as a mom it's nice that I got to actually enjoy the party with my sons and loved ones instead of worrying about cleanup or timing. If you're looking for a place to host your kiddos birthday look no further. All my sons friends parents said what a good choice it was, all the kiddos were so sad when it was their turn to leave. I believe her name was Rhonda but she helped us today and I can't thank her enough for making my sons day sooo soo special. And rolling with our changing of plans, more kiddos then expected lol. This place is super fun for the kids but last few times we have come NO workers are monitoring anything, yes I understand they aren't babysitters but safety reasons they should be walking around or look up and see when kids are fighting right in the open and throwing stuff at each other. Kids were literally kicking each others stomachs and trying to punch bc of the little push car they have . Some girl tried grabbing my 2 year old out by her neck bc she wanted it. I don't normally frequent indoor play areas as they are glorified Petri dishes. I very reluctantly went to Ahoy Kitsap this past weekend for a birthday party. When you walk in the first thing you see is a sign saying no outside food or drinks and that it is a peanut free establishment. I don't know who is supposed to be monitoring outside food, drinks and peanuts but they are not doing their job. If you are a parent of a child with nut allergies I would avoid this place at all costs. My biggest issue is the lack of cleaning and enforcing of masks in an indoor environment. I saw many adults walking around with masks hanging below their noses or none on at all. It seemed like a lot of people were using sitting at a table as an excuse to not wear a mask despite not eating or drinking. In the five and under play area there were used tissues and masks on the floor. It didn't look like the area had been cleaned in a few days. The floor was very dirty for an area where shoes are not allowed to be worn. Children who were much older than five kept coming into the five and under play area. I let one of the staff know and nothing seemed to be done about it. I was disappointed with Ahoy Kitsap but not surprised. Most indoor play areas were disgusting even before covid. I just thought that they would take more care and precaution now that we're in the midst of flu season and an ongoing pandemic. Just had our daughter's 4th birthday here and couldn't be more happy with this choice! The staff helped us unload, setup, and move kiddos between rooms during the party. We just had my son's 6th birthday party here, and it was an excellent experience! I love that their website reservation experience is smooth and straightforward, I was able to pick a date and time and add food (hotdog meals) to my reservation effortlessly. Their email communication was perfect--I received a confirmation that included all relevant party details for me to double-check as we got closer to the date. When I ended up having last-minute questions a couple days before, I made a quick call and got all the answers I needed from the helpful staff on the phone. We showed up twenty minutes ahead of party-time, and Wanda guided us to our reserved room and walked us through everything we might need (we'd forgotten scissors and tape). She helped us set up, refrigerated our ice cream, and was so professional and courteous. We appreciated that the party room had been freshly cleaned & disinfected, too. Our guests arrived and it almost goes without saying that they had a blast on the indoor playground equipment. When it was party time, the staff made the announcement that brought all our little attendees running upstairs to our room. The hotdog meals we'd ordered were fresh and warm, they came with drinks and bags of chips. The kids loved them! It was such a relief to have so much of the work of hosting a party taken off my shoulders so I could just get photos and enjoy my little guy's special day. The price was exactly as agreed upon upfront, no surprise billing, and very reasonable considering all I had to bring was a cake. I brought my 8 year old nephew and my 7 year old niece and they had a blast! It cost $11 per child for all day play which in my opinion is not a bad deal. We only stayed for 2 hours but now that I know we can come and play, leave and come back to play some more, we definitely will! I rated 4 stars because some parents don't watch their children. While we were there a little girl cried for 5 minutes before anyone came to find her. Older children ride on the Little Tikes Cozy Coupes and crash into smaller children/toddlers with no repercussions. Our favorite area was the spider web tower. I appreciated the tables and chairs for adults to relax. Things that deducted a star is the one day pricing is high and no free guest WiFi (it's a separate charge). Also, I get parents should be watching their kids, but there were a few incidents where parents were MIA and no staff came to address the play rules and safety. I took my wife and kids in June 2021. I walked in without a mask because of multiple reasons (religious, health, 1st amendment, etc.), plus the CDC no longer enforced masks at this time. Once I was inside they ask if I had a mask, I replied that I did not have one and did not wear masks for personal reasons. They explained that everyone has to wear a mask except for children who are not old enough to get the COVID vaccine (waiting for kids to get vaccinated, that's sick). I listened politely and smiled as they gave me a mask. They then continued by telling me if I sat at a table I did not have to wear a mask, which I saw as my saving grace and unfortunate compromise. I walked in the play place without my mask to look for an empty table, but all the tables were taken. The worker then came over to me and told me that I needed to sit out in the lobby away from my wife and kids until a table opened up. Now let me remind you again, not even the CDC was enforcing mandatory mask wearing when all this happened, but this worker woman just would not respect that I don't wear masks for various reasons (religious reasons, health reasons, 1st amendment, etc). This demoralizing encounter was all I needed to experience to know that I will take my wife and kids elsewhere from now on and never support this business again. My advice is to try WiggleWorks in Puyallup, they are not discriminatory and don't enforce masks. read more

The change of management from about a year ago have done a lot of upgrades to the facility, but I do wish they were a little more assertive to little children that are running around like feral maniacs. My only complaint is the place doesn't seem to get cleaned much, and so much dust has built up on the top of a lot of the equipment that it can upset allergies and give a pretty gross feeling when you grab the wrong bar. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if the place is suddenly under new management or what, but my last visit was the rudest guest experience I've had in recent memory, anywhere. I was notified when we entered that nothing birthday-themed would be admitted unless we had a birthday reservation. (It was just me and my son) We couldn't even bring in a present for him to open inside... So we opened his gift, outside and on a rainy day as the staff looked on, but it gets better! When I brought in a cake (outside food is allowed) the staff, in the most unfriendly manner, insisted on inspecting my cake, plates, and napkins to make sure nothing was birthday themed! Cool little place! Especially in Washington when it has liquid sunshine all of the time (rain)! But....PLEASE HAVE AC ON OR COOL DOWN YOUR ESTABLISHMENT WHEN IT'S HOT! The kids during our event were drenched and the adults sitting down during our party were sweating bullets! Nasty combo. If something was broken, an accommodation like free cold water would've been a nice gesture. It was a private event so it wasn't too packed with people. I've been here before with family and it was nice and cool. But not yesterday! It was pretty ridiculous. BUT......your staff is amazing! The guy that was working the party was so friendly and professional. He's the reason (and other amazing employees prior) we'll come back and from the great past experiences. Great place to take the kids. We've been a dozen times and it's always clean. Kids have a great time and never want to leave. The equipment is unique and there is a variety of things for the kids to do. Some aspects aren't perfect, but aren't enough for me to knock off a star. Kitsap needs places like this and any feedback I have is meant to be constructive for a facility that's doing a good job overall. This place can get crowded at peak times! That's generally good for business and means they're doing something right. But this means that seating for adults while their kids play can be limited, especially when parents sit at a 4 top table by themselves. I would like to see better seating arrangements. Also, it gets a little chaotic and occasionally rough when it's super busy so watch your small children. But that's expected at a place designed for kids to run around and have fun. Also, it can be a bit expensive. I don't actually think it's priced too much for a couple hour visit, but I'd like to see a way to come and enjoy the facility at a reduced cost. Maybe happy hour during slower times, or maybe a discount for showing up a set time before closing. Something where we have an option to get in for cheaper occasionally. As it stands, it's not something my family would do more than once a month or every other month. I think if you had more pricing options, you'd get people to visit more regularly. read more
