    Famous Pad Thai with Chicken
    Shefali B.

A pretty good spot for Thai food in Markham. I came here on a Saturday afternoon in January without a reservation, and we were seated right away. On this day they were training a lot of new people so the service was a little bit slow but definitely still friendly. We were a group of three and we ordered the following: - Famous Pad Thai with Chicken - Pad Ki Maw with Chicken - Spicy Garlic Stir Fry with Chicken - Thai Iced Teas The food itself was pretty good, however the Pad Ki Maw was definitely different from any other Thai restaurant I have ordered it from. As in, it didn't have any Thai Basil at all. I also asked two servers about it, and they both told me that this dish does not come with Thai Basil, and that it would overpower the dish if it did. The highlight of our experience was how quickly the food was made and brought to our table. It was honestly pretty impressive. Service for other things like water refills, order updates and the bill were a bit slower than expected. Overall, it was a pretty good first experience. however, I don't think this will be my first choice for Thai restaurant anytime soon.

We loved it so much that we returned again yesterday for a lunch date. Jeremiah and Molly took great care of us, and once again the food was fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. We had the tom kha soup and the pineapple fried rice, and both were excellent. Two visits in, and this place has definitely earned our recommendation. We'll absolutely be back. - - - - It was an absolute treat visiting this restaurant on our trip from Texas to celebrate my husbands birthday with family. We were amazed with the service provided by Kevin and the entire staff, the location is clean, presentation of the food and the food is finger licking good. We had their pineapple fried rice, basil fried rice, chicken satay and pad ke mow! Everything was delicious and we cannot wait to be back to visit. Also, a plus point...this place is HALAL! See yall soon!!!

Amazing time at chiang rai! The khao soi was super delicious and flavourful. It is definitely my go to! Service was also super quick and generous. I will be back to try more.

My go to Thai Restaurant in the Markham area! The food is always the best, with such great service as well! Make sure to make a reservation before hand, as they are always packed. Definitely recommend the drunken noodles and always get with the best house made chilli crunch!

We had an amazing experience! Everything we ordered was really presented well and tasted wonderful, I would recommend their calamari and fried chicken and the pad thai. The stir fry was a bit overwhelming in taste though but was still good!

Ok first off, the resto needs to remove the "Reserve a table" button off google when people search because it doesn't work lool. I've tried booking a day in advance, a week in advance and a month in advance and it ALWAYS tells me there are no tables available (doesn't matter what time). Basically, you gotta call their number physically and make reservations so keep that in mind. Food was good! I think their pad thai is the best uptown and competes w/ the likes of downtown stalwarts (Pai, Si Lom, Khao San Road, Nana). The islamic noodles were tasty but had more of a khao soi soup consistency. I was expecting it to be more gravy-like and thicker. My gf and I slightly prefer the islamic noodles over at Koh Lipe more because of the more tomato-ey flavour profile. The panang curry was rich and I could really taste the coconut milk coming through but we felt that they could've given us more chicken. It was 75% a veggie curry with a couple slices of chicken added in which was a lil bit disappointing. The portion size as a whole was decent. Portion sizes are solid. Service is excellent. Will be back to try some other dishes (I saw some unique ones that piqued my interest).

3.5 stars. Located on the southwest corner of Kennedy and 14th Ave. There is some parking but the lot fills up quickly and the drivers are from another planet with no driving skills. The food is ok, nothing great but not bad. The plating is nice and very photogenic... The seating is more like a market environment and not for a quiet time to have discussions in. There are booths and tables but lack privacy. The service could be a little better as I felt rushed to go but when requesting for any item takes a few tries to flag down the server and remind them of the items missing. I prefer the Avenue Road location as the setup and service are much better

This is a cute Thai place. We got there early but they do take reservations and I recommend you make them. They fill up quick and I know why now! Their food was some of the best Thai I've had. I had the drunken noddles Thai hot and they were both spicy and flavorful. Everything comes out with a beautiful presentation. It's like a piece of art. The sticky rice and mango I've never seen one like that before. It was Soo pretty and tasted fresh. The only reason it's not 5 star is I felt the service was a little rude at times.

The parking lot here can get busy and spots are a little tight, as the plaza has a few food spots and the popular Lucullus bakery. Upon entering as a walk-in for a weekend lunch, my husband and I were seated promptly after a 5min wait time for the table. This was my third time here for dine-in as the flavour and presentation has been consistent overall. My favourites are the sweet potato fritters and khao soi noodles. I would come back to try the mango sticky rice, which looked amazing at the next table! Service is good, food comes quickly but if you need to catch the attention of a server after placing your order then expect some delay during the mealtime rush hour. As a casual date spot, this is a good spot for conversation and family friendly for kids as well. Note: I have gotten takeout from here once and was surprised that the pad see ew tasted extremely salty, but never had that problem previously for dine-in.

One of the best Thai food spots that I've had. Prior to visiting this restaurant I had believed that I was not a fan of Thai food and they proved me wrong. I had the Red Curry and the Shrimp Pad Thai. Both were great and the staff was friendly. The inside is set up nicely to dine in as well. Would recommend to anyone trying to have good Thai food.

I was already impressed with my first visit to this Thai restaurant at the North York location, so when I found out there's a Markham location, I knew I had to try. All the dishes we ordered were so flavourful, the presentation was on point, and considering the portion and how much protein was included in each dish, the prices were very reasonable. We tried dishes with curry flavour, Tom yum flavour, and soy sauce flavour, and honestly I couldn't pick a fav cause they were all so good and different! The mild spice level was also perfect with just a little kick. I would highly recommend this restaurant and make sure to make a reservation. We came on a Monday night and it was almost fully packed! It was a little loud though since there was a few large parties there. Visit Jess.feed.me on instagram for more food adventures!

Update recent visit. We came here with my wife's family. We recommend making a reservation as the restaurant is not very big. The food was really good and presentation on point. Nice heart-shaped mold for the jasmine rice. Royal pad thai and the Drunken noodles were really good. Nice diverse flavors. Medium spice is the right level for these noodles. The pineapple fried rice with beef was a masterpiece and almost every table ordered it The service was nice. They used an iPad to enter the orders. The food came out pretty fast. Crispy chicken was addictive. It's kind of like a Thai version of chicken karaage. Nice ambiance and bright dining space. I have referred lots of family and friends to eat here. Definitely try this restaurant if you're looking for some elevated Thai food with beautiful presentation.

Initially we were going for the idea of breakfast, but timing was a bit off from what we anticipated and it was a really nice lunch date instead. I love the Markham Marriott, the staff is always warm and welcoming. Draco has a very sleek, sophisticated and cozy atmosphere. We both ordered Bacon & Cheddar burgers. I opted for a Caesar salad as an appetizer and hubby ordered their Grilled Wagyu Flat Iron Steak. Let's start with the apps. The Caesar salad was SO good! I wish I had taken a pic, but admittedly, my phone was tucked away and I was caught up in the cozy seating, great food and Christmas vibes of the restaurant and lobby. Grilled Wagyu Flat Iron Steak: $33 - Buttercup Squash Puree and Truffle Oil - Everything you want Wagyu to be - tender, cooked to the perfect temp which left a nice warm red centre. This was melt in your mouth good! The burgers - these were perfection! Draco Bacon Cheddar Burger: $25 - Aged Cheddar with Crispy Bacon Strips; Crispy Onion Straws, Arugula and Garlic Aioli. This was a very well seasoned patty, so juicy and a substantial sized patty of fresh not frozen beef. The bun was lightly toasted, bacon crispy, easily taking this into my top 3 fav spots for burgers! Options for sides include fries, sweet potato fries, poutine, side Caesar or garden salad or truffle fries. We finished off our meal with 2 really good cappuccinos and just took our time before heading home. This was our first time back here in a few years. The food was exceptional as was the service and the warm staff. Draco is the perfect spot for an early morning breakfast, work or lunch date or a nice cozy dinner. They also have Christmas & New Years dinners and brunches. Relax in the restaurant with drinks or in the adjacent lounge, this is a great spot to unwind with some great food and drinks.

Enter either you own info if paying separately or the same info if one person pays all of it. Lots of new dishes as well as old favourites: Chochin: Tried it. Not a fan. Tastes exactly the way I thought it would. Which is internal organ like but in an unpleasant creamy way. Duck liver raspberry toast: Nice but could be bigger. The raspberry brought an expected nice sweetness to the nice liver taste. A little more raspberry would be nice. Tuskune and egg yolk dip: It's ok but not that big a deal. Cheese momo: Fantastic. The swiss cheese is an excellent pairing to the chicken. Skin-Kawa - Delciious. Crispy. Must have, Hiza (knee cartidlidge): nice and crunchy Beef short rubs boneless: Was enticed due to the tendon part. It was nice but not incredible. Beef tenderloin + Chimichurri: Wife's favourite. We always order several of these. P-toro: Another must repeat. Great pork belly taste. Cherry tomato bacon maki: New and delightful. Bacon wrapped cherry tomatoes provide a delightful burst of tomatoey sweetness wrapped with the unctuousness of bacon. Lamb rib chop: Excellent and tasty. Once again everything was cooked perfectly and the amazing binchotan smoke made everything delicious. Fun fact, they put charcoal in the free water carafes as well.

Good food that hurts your wallet…read more Japanese izakayas are few and few between in Markham - that's why I got excited to see Sumoki pop up! It's not on the main street of Unionville, but its presence on a side road matches the quaint nature of the restaurant. It's not the biggest inside, but it gives off a Japanese aesthetic with the wood trim throughout. We made reservations in advance to avoid long lines, if any (thankfully it wasn't packed the night we went). Orders are made via QR code, which seems to be the norm now. I like it since you don't have to waive down waiters in a low-dimmed izakaya. Their main offering seemed to be skewers. We ordered a bunch of them to try - notably, all of them had a nice smoky fragrance to them (maybe that's why it's called Sumoki). We especially enjoyed the Grilled Chicken Skin. Perfect crunch from the initial bite leading to a slight chew throughout. The seasoning was spot on as well. Other honourable mentions include extremely succulent Chicken Thigh meat, Gizzards and Beef Tongue. You could really taste the meat juices from each skewer since the chefs don't overpower it with seasoning. Other local skewer places tend to have the same seasoning across different cuts of meat, so Sumoki felt like a breath of fresh air amongst the growing market. Coincidentally, it's also the first place I've been to offer Giant Rooster Testicles. Now...don't be alarmed. It sounds exotic and might not be everyone's cup of tea, but this dish is extremely creamy. Give it a try if you have the courage! We came to celebrate my brother's birthday, but quickly realized our bill was racking up really quickly despite a small number of orders. Sumoki is definitely a place where you don't want to come on an empty stomach, since each order is 1 skewer (unlike other local restaurants). Other menu items, from what we saw of neighbouring tables, didn't fare much better in terms of portion sizes. We left quickly to avoid some serious financial damage for the 6 of us, but also quickly drove to another impromptu restaurant to get settle our hunger down. Sumoki definitely isn't cheap. I wouldn't recommend this to be a formal dinner - moreso if you wanted a light snack after dinner. But then again, with these prices, Sumoki tries to make itself bougie without delivering 100% satisfaction so maybe try at your own risk.

More recently, one of MY closest friends held his wedding reception just down the road (at Casa Deluz Banquet Hall) and instead of a dance floor at the end of the night, he booked one of the party rooms here for the afterparty. From the outside, this plaza looks like your typical, sketchy scarborough plaza but the first time I walked into this place I was blown away at how nice the interior was. The lighting is extremely cool and the decor is very fancy. Service is prompt and friendly. If you need a battery change for your mic(s) or ring the service bell, you get a person almost instantly in your room. The washroom is clean enough haha. I've been to some KTV places with REALLY dank washrooms. This one is clean and smells relatively fresh. Also, someone in another review mentioned that there was a lingering cigarette smell. I've been here a bunch of times and there's almost no cigarette smell. Visitors are pretty polite here. Most ppl that want to smoke, I see them go outside and having a smoke outside before coming back into the lounge. I will say, they do use a popular touch screen system for choosing songs. I would totally bump this review up to a 5 star rating if they kept the song list updated (Bar+ on Yonge St downtown has the most constantly updated song list I've ever experienced). There were a couple new songs that I tried to find but to no avail. I think this is the best karaoke place uptown in the GTA at the moment if I'm being honest! They are very honest w/ their minimum room charge pricing and they also have a killer happy hour special deal throughout the week if you're not booking a room on a weekend. It will continue to be my go-to place for karaoke as long as they don't increase prices.

Its menu already shows its uniqueness: its signature ramen is shio ramen, which simply means salt ramen. Unlike other ramen restaurants that often promote their strong and heavy-flavoured pork broth, Santouka just says "salty broth." I think it really reflects Japanese culture and spirit. The chef's craftsmanship shows that using simple ingredients is enough to make flavorful food. I ordered the Shio Ramen and an Aji-tama (medium-boiled egg). It still had a very strong savoury flavour and wasn't too salty at all. To be honest, it tasted like pork broth to me. Whatever it was, it made me feel comfortable while having the ramen and after the meal. Meals at other ramen restaurants are usually too salty. Sorry, I am playing with words here, because it is interesting that the "salty broth" isn't too salty, while other broths are usually saltier. The branch in Scarborough is spacious and very suitable for dining with family, friends, or even business associates. The plaza it is in is a very competitive area for noodle cuisine.
