specifically pertaining to "CHORIZO" sausage. have purchased many times over the past several years. what is with the "BURP" in some of the links after boiling, all congealed together. what becomes forever chewable lumps of hard bone or fat composites. the flavor of this sausage is great and perfectly spicy. It was not like this say a year ago and every link does not have this composite lumps of fat or bone. SO what gives. I'm an Aidells fan but I miss their Burmese curry chicken sausage. Years ago, I used to swing by the now defunct Whole Earth in the Emeryville/Berkeley area. They had a cafe that regularly set up a gas grill in the parking lot. Sausage nirvana was a toasted roll of crusty Colombo bread stuffed with caramelized onions and a grilled Burmese curry chicken sausage. I would sit on that picnic bench, chin smeared with sausage drippings and chow down. I was ecstatic when Aidells started appearing in mainstream grocery stores but I never found my beloved BCCS. I asked her for a sample, and she ignored me and gave the samples to other people even though I was right in front of her. I asked her, "Why are you ignoring me?" and she continued to ignore me. The teriyaki-pineapple meatballs are in our cart every single trip to Costco. They are that good. Also enamored with the Andouille sausage which goes great in gumbo. The mango-jalapeno meatballs, mango sausage, and caramelized onion meatballs are also wonderful. Not a huge fan of the chicken and apple sausage, another Costco staple, wish they carried more flavors. Another great thing about the meatballs at Costco is the good-sized package. I bought a batch of these at Costco to serve when it was my turn to host my book club. Everyone loved them. I was eating some leftovers today, slowly, and several times spit out chicken parts that I wish I had never seen. One looked like a chicken claw, another was some kind of tube-like thing. I went back to the box to see what the ingredients said, but it just says "Chicken" :( They are otherwise so terrific--no nitrites, all-natural.
