Every so often I come back here to give some photo updates and rave some more about Aiko. It is still hands down my favorite sushi in town. The best deal and the quality is great! I have turned so many friends into Aiko fans as well. If you are in town and looking for sushi Aiko is a must try.

Love the look of this place with tons of seating and service was very fast and friendly. Ordered a shrimp tempura that wasn't what I was expecting when they brought it out, but it was delicious and I would have ordered it twice. In addition to that we got a basic spicy tuna roll and what I believe was the Fire Island Roll. They brought it out on fire and there was plenty to fill me up. My son got chicken and veg tempura which was his first time having it and he was somewhat impartial to it. Not that it was bad, but I should have order something else for someone young. Overall, enjoyable dinner. I though the sushi was tasty but the nori was a little chewier than I would have liked. The service again was the best, the food was good and the atmosphere was good. It's a good place!

I recently moved from Manhattan to Port Washington and thought the food was great. Normally, I am not a fan of menus that offer so many options, but everything my wife and I tried was good. (Would suggest to the owners to consolidate the special and house rolls a little.) We had: -Kobe Meatballs -Tuna Cracker -Eel Cucumber Handroll -Tempura Shrimp Roll -Dee Roll -Port Washington Roll. We liked the Port Washington Roll better than the Dee Roll, but both were great. Service was good and on a Friday night it was busy but we got a table right away. Looks nicer on the inside than the outside might suggest. Will make this my new go-to sushi place.

Ordered take out at work with co workers. The food was amazing !!!! I ordered the rock shrimp tempura and garlic broccoli. My co worker ordered sweet potato roll which she wolfed down from hunger. Food came hot and fresh! Will order again see the pictures

Let me say I recently tried this restaurant for the 1st time and how delicious!? First, I recommend the octopus appetizer. The octopus itself was so large and so tender and the sauce was absolutley delicious. Second their specialty roles are not the typical you see at every other sushi restaurant. This restaurant has variety, something new to try every time you visit and I promise you your taste buds will thank you. Third their sashimi is incredibly fresh. They give you a generous portion and once again variety in their sashimi dinner and I highly recommend this menu item. If I had to be critical of one thing, and this is a slight stretch, the wait time for food is a little long. I waited aproximatley 20 minutes for 2 handrolls and one piece of ikura sashimi. While I didn't mind too much because I was enjoying the night, if this restaurant tweaked this, they'd be great. The wait staff was incredibly polite and apologetic for the wait. I recommend this restaurant and will be back! I recommend

I've had takeout from Aiko quite a few times and they've never disappointed. But tonight they AMAZED me - my fiancé and I shared the sushi and sashimi dinner for 2 and we will never get anything else ever again. Every piece was delicious and the fact that we got to pick 2 special rolls to include with the dinner made it the most perfect meal. If you're wondering what to eat for your date night, do yourself a favor and get this!

Lovely restaurant in a great location. Came here for a quick sushi session by myself as i was in the neighborhood. I had the vegetable gyoza and it was very nice! Has a lot more vegetables than usual but some would like that. I also had the spicy kani crunch roll and yes it was spicy if you don't eat spicy food. It was great tho. My bill was $10.86 so it's not that bad and i was full. I would come back for sure, it's very clean in here and the service is of high quality.

There is usually a pretty decent coupon situation if you pick up the menu. The food is above average, and I have never had a negative experience. I used to come in for the lunch specials when I was single. The main draw for me is that they have a cool bar area with LED lights that makes for a cool ambiance. Also, they have a TV above the bar that usually has the news. I'll never forget I was having lunch here, and watching the news at the bar, when I first heard that Spock (Leonard Nimoy) died. Ever since then, I have had an attachment to this place. With a ton of competition nearby, this place does a pretty good job. There are two other sushi places within walking distance. I usually order the spicy maki combo from most places. This place has a less expensive version compared to the other places in town. But, instead of 3 spicy tuna/salmon rolls one of them is a spicy shrimp roll. This is the first time I ever saw a shrimp roll in a spicy maki combo but I actually like it. The staff/service are very average. They are not particularly friendly but not bad either. Also, Everything is super clean. Important when serving raw fish.

My absolute favorite Japanese fusion on Long Island! It is so delicious. The staff are always so nice. The service is very fast. The atmosphere is great. You don't realize your bill add up but it's so worth it. They give you plenty of food and the rolls are very filling and big. There are many options to choose from so you can always try something new each time. My favorite is the sesame chicken and the chicken teriyaki. But honestly you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I always ask for sides of eel sauce which is super sweet, and they always give me as much as I want without charging extra. Absolutely no complaints here - they always serve to impress with their displays and tastes.

Food looks Japanese but it doesn't taste like it, more Chinese version of Japanese cuisine. The staffs are nice and friendly though.

We had kitchen entrees. Stopped by here after visiting sands point preserve hoping for good meal Atmosphere is very austere. Feels like corporate cafeteria rather than a restaurant. Chicken was very dry and rice bland To be fair, we didn't get sushi but prices for sushi here were crazy. Same platter or chirashi I can get in manhattan for $18-20 was $45 here. Really sleek, darkly lit and feeling like it's a place for a date night. But they had a lot of families with small kids in the restaurant as well. There's plenty of seating! I thought it was so nice of them to start us off with a bowl of warm edamame as we perused through the menu. Menu is not super extensive but it was a little difficult to read through. Large list of drinks compared to the food. It was also a little bit hectic hailing down the waitstaff for help, but it was a very busy weekend night. I ordered a couple of rolls. The East House roll was very nice, though I didn't expect from the description that the roll would not be wrapped in nori but in that clear-ish yubu skin situation. I wasn't mad about it, the presentation was beautiful. All of the fish felt very clean and not too strong or fishy tasting. I also had a spicy tuna roll which was good but not really spicy or tuna-y enough for my preferences. The sushi rice layers were nicely thin so that I didn't feel overstuffed with rice afterwards. Someone from my table ordered the hot udon as it was a cold and drizzly day outside. They felt the flavor was bland. It looked fairly bland and disappointing. Miso soup was also bland, though it was generously portioned. The shrimp teriyaki was overcooked. I do think this is a nice elevated environment, and as long as you're getting something from the sushi bar. It's a bit pricey, but you're getting pretty decent quality fish.

We started with an espresso martini, which was excellent--smooth, well-balanced, and a great way to kick off the meal. My husband and I each took a few sips before I remembered to snap a photo--always a good sign. For appetizers, the wasabi rock shrimp and spicy tuna crispy rice were both standouts--fresh, flavorful, and nicely executed with great texture. We also ordered the 10 piece nigiri flight, which was consistently impressive. The fish tasted fresh across the board, with the uni being a highlight--rich, creamy, and exceptionally fresh. The shrimp tempura roll was delicious--crispy and well-balanced. The only dish that didn't quite land for us was the ebi hamachi futomaki. It wasn't bad, just not a favorite for my husband--I only remembered to take a photo when we were nearly finished. From the kitchen, we shared the black cod and sea bass--both outstanding. Tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked--definite highlights of the meal. For dessert, we shared the peach cobbler, which was a great finish. Warm peaches with hints of bourbon and cinnamon, paired with Japanese vanilla ice cream--comforting and well-balanced. Service was warm throughout, and the quality of the food was evident in nearly every dish. While it leans toward the higher end in price, the overall experience fell just shy of a full five stars--but was nevertheless very enjoyable.
