Came here on a Saturday for lunch. The sushi and sashimi were fresh, with a good variety to choose from. Highly recommend their combo set. We'll definitely be back!

The quality of the fish at yamaguchi is always amazing. The chefs are friendly, the staff is kind and the ambiance is nice.

The fish is very fresh and the omakase choices are wonderful. Unfortunately they are understaffed so your wait time will be high to get a table, to get your order taken, and to get your food. You'll be glad you ordered sushi. Lots of great choices in the omakase. Come by quickly.

Decent sushi, decent service and decent establishment. This is a very standard restaurant and nothing out of the ordinary.

What a great humble sushi spot. Service and food quality was great. Everything was fresh. Restaurant was spacious and clean. Will definitely be back again.

I was told this is their new "French style" soft shell crab!"

Do not go! New owner and the quality of the food is disappointing!! Now it is just another Chinese Japanese sushi restaurant. We order "soft shell crab" and it came with the extra thick breading that only used for japanese pork cutlet pork cutlet . The waiter said, "We changed it, This is new French style! You should like it!!" (see image!) We are NOT going back!

I am very grateful to the new boss for bringing me visual and taste freshness. I will always come back. The price is also good. Every slice of fresh ingredients is just right. The texture melts in your mouth and is wonderful!!

Our waitress was responsive to whatever we needed. The prices are a little high for the portion size, but the food is great quality. My vinho verde was a nice size pour. My husband loved the Iberian ham here. We both had the garlic shrimp which were very well flavored but unfortunately didn't have even one garlic clove, which was disappointing and there were only 6 shrimp. The olive oil they were in was great though and we dipped our food into it and they were perfectly cooked. The paella is supposed to be for 2-4 people which I can see if you have more tapas but we finished it off. It came with a healthy amount of shrimp, grilled calamari and chorizo and was perfectly seasoned. We also appreciated how the rice was a bit crispy and not mushy. The table next to ours ordered what appeared to be a very good looking fruit cobbler of some kind but we were too stuffed for dessert. They also have a weekday happy hour before 6pm that looks good with deals on booze. Really enjoyed this spot! Conveniently located in the middle of garden city with ample free parking.

But I've never ever encountered what I got from Tiga... even from far cheaper restaurants. Last year, I ordered 3 special rolls and excitedly picked them up. When I opened the package later, it appeared that they decided to squish all 3 of our rolls into one single plastic takeout container. So instead of each of us being able to enjoy the roll that we chose, we had to "share", dig from one container, with no other plates to use. Not only that, they squished the rolls so tightly together that the rice of the 3 rolls got stuck together, and the sauces of got mixed up. So as we tried to get our own rolls out to eat, it soon became like one container of fried rice - except it wasn't fried - just a mess of rice with toppings. For rolls that cost $20+ each, don't you think that each of the 3 of us deserved our own container to eat from? We were 3 colleagues who did not wish to eat out of one single bowl. I'm flabbergasted by Tiga.
