After I had major surgery involving an implant swap (which felt like undergoing a mastectomy all over again), she allowed several days to pass before properly medicating me, despite my numerous attempts to request dosage adjustments for my pain. Her staff informed me that I was not allowed to take more medication, even though I was suffering from severe surgical pain in addition to my usual pain. Furthermore, she accused me of being an addict and abusing medication due to my history of being on Suboxone. I have NEVER abused my medications. I requested to be placed on Suboxone in an effort to try a different approach; I was NOT put on it because I was an addict. As the saying goes, "Assumptions make an ass out of you and me." Shame on Jessica Bustos and the staff at Solas Health. It's disheartening that I now have to write to the medical board due to the mistreatment I experienced. Jessica Bustos refused to meet with me in person to discuss my concerns. This is truly shameful.

I can't tell you how many times I have shown up there for an appointment and my medication was not there after taking off work and had to reschedule just to take off work again. My appointment was today so I took off work and I had gotten into a minor fender bender but regardless, I was only going to be two minutes late the 15 minute grace.. I called extremely rude lady at the front desk (first time I've ever seen her) told me I have the 15 minutes and that's it. I want 100 on the highway trying to get there. I called her again and told her I will be one minute late. I showed up at 5:51. She looked dead in the face and said the doctor told me you have to reschedule. This is a medication you're not supposed to miss. I'm absolutely disgusted with these people. Never again. not to mention the last time I had an appointment once again. My medication was not there so they decided to give me somebody else's medication who didn't show up. Completely out of control.

Being able to call and have a conversation with staff that genuinely listened and advised my family was, without doubt, the best experience I could have hoped for. Even at initial call, the admissions staff was beyond helpful providing information and guidance to assist us in learning the beginning of this delicate process. In some instances, when a family member agrees to treatment, there is a very small window to act and follow through. New Waters moved quickly to assist us and thankfully a bed was available. The intake staff helped my family member walk through the doors of recovery for the first time in his life. The facility is beautiful, clean, and did not have the stereotypical hospital setting. Although our story is just beginning, the care provided from initial call to intake was absolutely the best experience we could have hoped for in such a difficult time. One billion stars!

Excellent food and effective group therapy. Desiree who takes phone calls for initial assessment is just the best ever. One note: not quite like the typical detox med protocols, very little Ativan to start, but their regime has cutting edge, evidence-based success. One thing they do that is rare at other facilities is total rehydration IV at intake. Couldn't say enough about this facility. Most staff are also in recovery. Even the head chef/dietician is compassionate and loving. Just an incredible experience. Has kept me sober!
