If you are looking for HRT, I'd recommend you give OnePeak Medical a try. I would not go to OnePeak…read moreMedical for routine family care or primary care. That's not their strength. But, I have been seeing them for approximately 3 years for my Hypothyroid and Hashimoto's, as well as my lethargy and foggy brain from menopause. My thyroid is now in a great range, my Hashimoto's markers are nearly non-existent, my energy levels (in all ways) are much higher, my sleep is better, and my foggy brain has subsided. You need to be very clear about your goals and have conversations with the providers. If you don't feel comfortable with the provider you received, ask to see a different practitioner. I've had great experiences with some that others have criticized. Maybe it's also a personality thing. Pellots aren't right for everyone. But having tried creams and other alternatives, I feel this is the most effective and easiest method for me. I'd recommend this for both men and women. Educate yourself first. Understand your alternatives and don't be afraid to discuss your concerns.

I ended up leaving Northwest Medical Homes as a patient due to how they handled a mistake made by a…read moreDO. After a visit where the DO renewed and prescribed a medication that I have been taking for 27 years, I received vague voicemails from the office for weeks, asking me to call back to answer a question they had. I had indicated on my patient form that I only accept text communication, which was completely ignored. After 5+ voicemails in a 2-week span from someone named NATASHA (whose role I still don't know), I returned the call. I was connected to NATASHA, who spoke to me as if she knew my medical history. She was rude and confrontational, didn't even have the name of my condition correct, and demanded 2025 lab results (which I would have obtained had my DO mentioned it in the visit) and the name of an endocrinologist I had seen in 2025. The last time I saw an endocrinologist was the previous April. Eventually, it became clear to me that the DO had made a mistake by writing the prescription and NATASHA expected me to remedy that mistake by seeing an endocrinologist ASAP, all while treating me like I had done something wrong. There is a shortage of endocrinologists in this town and I wanted to wait until I saw an OBGYN to get a recommendation on which specialist to see. I told Natasha this on the phone and via email, but she continued to badger me via voicemail and email, as if I had somehow caused this issue, despite my asking to speak directly with the DO. Eventually, I told them I would be finding new care, yet they continued to reach out using the same accusatory tone and asking the same questions. This was CYA documentation 100%. To make matters worse, they pulled my prescription from Walgreens, leaving me without a medication I literally need to live. It will take me time to find a new PCP and now I am worried I will need to ration my medication. This is not just any regular RX--it's a synthetic hormone that controls excessive thirst and urination. In 27 years of having this condition, no primary care doctor has ever forced me to be seen by an endocrinologist. I do MRIs every 5 years and the DO wanted me to have one off schedule. To the DO: You made the mistake, and you should have owned it and communicated with me directly. From there, I would have told you that I do not consent to annual endocrinologist visits and we could have parted ways then and there. What you were asking also could have been addressed at my next appointment, instead of putting me through weeks of stress and confusion. TL;DR: If a DO at Northwest Medical Homes makes a mistake, be prepared for weeks of harassment by voicemail, letters, and emails until you fix it. I've never been treated this poorly by any medical office. Do better!
