Last time I went in the hygeinist was rude, too. My usual hygeinist just retired, so I had a new one I'd never met before and she didn't make a great first impression. I went to a new dentist today, and we saw in my x-rays that the crown I got at Peterborough Family Dental late 2020 isn't lined up right. I'd have no way to know this myself, but evidently it makes it more likely to just fall out someday since it's improperly anchored, and I can have the whole expensive thing done over again. Someone else will get the money for the next one, at least. A friend who got a crown there before me also had problems with it, and I see similar problems in other reviews. I hate leaving bad reviews, but if I can save someone a bad time it's worth it. We have one set of teeth and it's not worth risking them, even if you have to drive a little further to get to a better dentist.

We arrived at 1:45pm to make sure we were not late. After waiting until 2:35pm we asked how much longer. We were told they didn't know if he would get in by 3pm or even 4pm!!! They told us we needed to reschedule! Why would you make someone wait that long and say nothing until they come up and question? We drive a significant distance to get there and were there early. This is not the first time they have been extremely far behind, leaving us and others to wait an extended period of time. Why is it that if we were late beyond 10 minutes we are charged for the appointment and they cancel ( says in their terms and conditions ). We have never been. But, when we travel 40 minutes and wait over another 30 plus minutes we just get dismissed like our time doesn't matter? We will be actively seeking another dentistry and leaving this one happily behind. With business practice like this they will not stay in business very long.

He is straightforward about what needs to be done and gives you options for whatever comfort level you want or need--it's your choice. The calm and compassion of everyone in the office gets the job done in a way that amazes me and actually leaves me happy at its ease and pleasantness. I later found out from my previous dentist they didn't even request the x-rays until the day of my appointment!!! Because of this, they pressured me into getting x-rays there. There wasn't enough time for a cleaning, so all they did was the x-rays--yet they charged me for both!!!! After complaining multiple times, they gave me a partial refund, but I was still charged for services that weren't provided and for x-rays I shouldn't have needed. This is not the kind of service I expect, especially in a small community. I'll be reaching out to the local Chamber, the BBB, and sharing my experience with everyone I meet in the Monadnock region. However, Dr. A. was incredibly informative with me as a patient during the procedure. The quality of care I received was outstanding, especially considering i had extenuating circumstances not commonly encountered with a root canal. Dr. A took extra time to be sure to complete my difficult procedure. She also followed up with a couple of calls to check on my recovery. I felt very supported as her patient.
