Ainsworth actually services several clients of mine. I have seen how they can truly take advantage of elderly clients, over charging them for sure and not doing what they promise! Last week we called to report ac went out and line was possibly clogged and needed to be cleaned. Cameron came out and just cut the hose and charged $200 after saying what a horrible setup we have that AINSWORTH did! Glad he was so honest! Next day we had water EVERYWHERE because he never used a SHOP VAC to clean or do anything. I guess he thought cutting the hose where it could possibly be clogged what do the job, but even me (a nurse) knows better than that. You could turn the AC off for a couple hours and turn it back on and of course it will run and that is exactly what he did after we had it off for several hours. He just turned it back on and said everything was OK! Worst service ever! And to actually know we are maintenance clients we should've had a little bit of a better experience. The technicians arrived for spring system inspection/maintenance inside and outside, did their job, explained some things I might want to consider doing involving capacitor and pan replacement (which I will be scheduling in the very near future) and were done in a timely manner. Been using this company for several years. When I asked about them honoring a yearly maintenance that the told me came with some work they did, it was never honored. I had more repairs done over the next few years and would mention it and the techs said they would bring it up and never got addressed. Called today for another service call and brought it up to Angel and she kept insinuating that we wanted a "Free" service, to which I told her that she could check when have received anything for free, instead it was part of a purchase. Nonetheless long story short, she said we should take our business elsewhere. So we will. That's what happens when companies get so big that they can afford to lose years old customers. be aware of price hikes!!! their technician came to our home on yesterday and determine that we had a bad fan motor and wanted to charge us $1,200; $695 price hike... we call another company in baytown they determine that we had a bad fan motor and charged us $495... we will never call or use this company again this is unfair price hikes especially during the time when people are struggling!!! highly disappointed!!! read more

AC shut off one night and Ainsworth came out the next day. It was an easy fix with a trip up to the attic. While here, the technician told me that he turned the motor up on the unit for me so that it would get colder faster. I never had any issues with it getting cold, but I thanked him anyways. After he left, the AC unit turned on and is very loud. It is in the attic over the living room. When we watch tv we have to turn up the volume so loud and then when the AC shuts off we have to turn the tv back down. When people come over they ask what that loud noise is. The issue I have is that I called several times and emailed once requesting the tech to come back out and set it back to where it was before he came. No-one will return my call or email. Now I have to hire someone else to come out and fix what Ainsworth did. Not happy. read more

I can't say enough about Ainsworth in Baytown...they have been servicing our AC for three years now and our technician has ALWAYS been GREAT! Not only is he so very polite he is so very thorough and takes the time to explain everything he is doing and why. Today he was up in our attic and he noticed a problem with our water heater and took the time to explain the problem and that we were in need of a plumber. A/C unit was not cooling, so Ainsworth came out to assess the problem. I was not home, but my son was. When I arrived, the technicians were sitting in the van and rolled the window down telling me it was bad. Basically, they told me we needed a new unit. The salesman came out and kept telling me how old my unit is without ever asking how old it was. (It is only 8 years old.) He gave me estimates of $10K and $14K for new units. I called Expert Air and the gentleman came out and fixed the problem for me. When I asked how much it was, he told me it was still under warranty. He has ordered the part that was the problem and will replace it when it comes in. GET A SECOND OPINION! $10K to $14K vs free is really no comparison at all. read more

Had a recurring problem with our furnace that didn't really manifest itself until recently (first time it was cold all day). Thought it was fixed in the morning, but it messed up again. I called Ainsworth and they came out same day and he fixed the problem in about 15 minutes. Everyone I interacted with in the business displayed professionalism and I thought the price was fair. Considering our unit is older I will probably call them to come out in the spring to check our air conditioning unit. Would recommend them to anyone in the area! read more

When our downstairs a/c recently went out, I placed a call to Ainsworth. It was after hours but their technician showed up very promptly. So far so good, due to the unit being frozen he had to return the next day to diagnose our issue. The tech never went into the attic but came to the conclusion that the issue was not able to be repaired and we later received an estimate of between $10K - $14K to replace. He also stated we were 10lbs low on freon. I had another company come out for a second opinion and it was discovered that in fact no new unit was needed and the issue was resolved for less than $600. We also were not low on freon at all. I'm very upset that had we taken Ainsworth at their word we would be out a significant amount of money. My suggestion is always get a second opinion and make sure their commission is not a driving factor for their assessment. read more

Central A/C unit in our master bedroom went out over the weekend. Its a welcome feeling when you call on a Sunday and get an answer at Ainsworth. They would have sent someone out right then, but I opted to have the repair done during regular business hours during the week. They sent out Mike who found a defective capacitor and got the unit up and running within minutes. The price was very fair, and technician Mike was very professional and highly skilled and knowledgeable. This is obviously a reflection of the owners and managers of Ainsworth. Ainsworth is a rip off I will never use them again. I asked to service my unit well 200 dollars later I got a compassiter put on that's it so no Freon check no checking it out nothing. called them and they want more money to check it out well what is the 89 dollar fee for not to service the unit watch out don't be the next person ripped off. read more
