I was driving to ATL so I stopped at Bojangles. The line didn't move for about 10 mins. So I left to continue on my journey, hoping to find another bojangles on the way. Unbeknownst to me, that was the best thing to happen to me. While driving, I saw a sign that said "Guud." So, I did what anyone else would do. I yelped it and made a U turn. I was skeptical bc I didn't even know what town I was in. However, as soon as I walked in, I felt at home. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The people were very nice and accommodating. I ordered my food and watched the game on the big screen. After a few mins, the waitress came out my food. The food was AMAZING!!!! Fried chicken was fresh and the rest of the sides were seasoned to perfection. Hopefully, this will be a normal stop while driving from SC to ATL. The banana pudding was on point as well. Happened upon this place by accident when visiting the state park nearby and I'm so glad I did! The owners are quite possibly the coolest people ever - family run establishment, so many custom touches and so much hard work has gone into this place. The owners obviously love what they do - it shines through in every aspect - you can just literally feel the love all around you. Such good people - they really made us feel welcome and at home here. And the food was excellent! The service was phenomenal! The decor and the establishment in general was super cute, very clean, and they had an awesome outdoor seating area. Was in Calhoun Falls for a game. Nothing open on Wednesday so I see this on Yelp as only 5 miles away, even though it's an Elberton address. Thought Google Maps was wrong but it's right over state line. I guess it's an old gas station but has really cool atmosphere outside. In spring, would be a great outdoor place to eat. On to the food-just ordered a burger and fries to be safe. Really big and perfectly seasoned. They also advertise breakfast so I'm going to make that a prioriority on weekends. Also, I'm going back to explore more dinner options. Well worth a 30 minute drive from McCormick. Staff is incredibly nice, food is great, and nice atmosphere. read more

We googled fantastic places to eat near Elberton GA, and this little place popped up. We were not disappointed. It's small quiet out of the way place with a small but delicious menu. I had the the Thick Chic fried sandwich and my hubs had the Cheeseburger. It came out hot and juicy. The service was great and Miss Valerie was so sweet. The food is absolutely cooked to order nothing just waiting around. We told her we would be back and was told to come back on Soul Sunday. I can't wait!! My husband and I stopped by to try after a meeting with a client in that area. I had heard the food was good but it exceeded my expectation. I had a cheeseburger and my husband got fish and shrimp...and we got wings to try because I've heard so much about them. Everything was absolutely delicious and the wings are the best I've had anywhere. I would recommend this little hole in the wall as a hidden diamond anytime! Small Mom and Pop's kinda place...out in the middle of not much...easy to ride by and pass it up...but do yourself a favor and stop in...awesome food, generous portions and the friendliest folks you'll ever meet...the owner's a super nice guy and he'll be around to meet the patrons...my organization actually had "Ain't It Guud" Cafe cater our assoc of church's meal and it was a delicious meal for 225 and it was cooked to perfection and served with a smile....5 STARS all day long! read more

We were looking for a place to eat while camping at nearby Calhoun Falls State Park and we found this place online. Our family of 4 ordered the loaded baked potato w/steak, cheeseburger & fries, teriyaki wings & fries, fried fish with sweet potato fries, and banana pudding. Everything was freshly made and tasted delicious, the portions were generous. The owner was welcoming & super friendly! We definitely recommend this place and hope to be back again. We stopped by today after leaving Bobby Brown State Park. We got double bacon cheeseburgers and sweet potato fries. And then a slice of pound cake for dessert. It was all delicious. We sat outside and listened to the music they had playing. The service was excellent. We will definitely go back when we are in the area. read more
