How did we not know sooner?! We live less than two miles away…read more.. The good thing is, we know now how AWESOME Looks Tacos is! My wife loved her Caldo de res! And my Carnitas plate was tender and delicious. The menu is wonderful; great selection of food and beverages. My wife enjoyed her Texas Margarita with Tanjin rim. The restaurant has an authentic feel with Dia de los Muertos paintings, booths and tables for larger parties. Our server was warm and welcoming, answering our questions and bringing us samples of the pasta soup. Overall, I cannot say enough about Looks Tacos; a truly satisfying dining experience! Apparently, in addition to the location on Washington Road, they have another, larger location on Boyscout road with Draft Beer and a Frozen Margarita Machine... We cannot wait to check it out.

It is a super comfortable small place and a good vibe in there the whole time. My waitress was my host because I showed up very late in the evening as I arrived in Augusta, Georgia. If you like true Mexican food then this is for sure where to go to. Very yummy and the server was very nice as well.

Yesterday, my retirement buddy and I enjoyed lunch at Hidalgo's Mexican Grill. The atmosphere was…read moreinviting, adorned with warm and vibrant décor, and we were greeted by a friendly host and attentive wait staff. I decided to try Lunch Special #6, which featured a burrito stuffed with ground beef, topped with salsa ranchero, and accompanied by rice and refried beans. My buddy opted for #10, the Gioso 3-way, which included grilled chicken, steak, and shrimp sautéed in their homemade spicy sauce, also served with rice, refried beans, and a choice of tortillas. From the very first bite of my burrito, I was pleasantly surprised--it was absolutely delicious! As a burrito enthusiast, I can confidently say it was the best-tasting burrito I've ever had, with a flavor profile unlike any I've experienced before. My buddy shared similar sentiments about the grilled meats on his plate. Curious about the sauce, we asked our server, who informed us it's a signature sauce they developed for all their meats. The rice and refried beans were perfect. The chips and salsa were also excellent. In summary, our visit to Hidalgo's Mexican Grill turned out to be one of the best lunches we've had. We're excited to make it one of our go-to spots for lunchtime.

He had chimichangas and I had something that had rice, cheese dip and chicken, steak, shrimp. My only complaint is that there was A LOT of chicken, 2 shrimp and not much steak. But it was yummy regardless. They have a daily special and this day was a chicken quesadilla for 5.99 and I think it also came with rice. We ordered one to go for his lunch the next day. (He said it was delicious) Our waiter was nice- never had to wait for anything that we asked for. (More chips, salsa, coke) Oh yeah the salsa is really good too. Not too spicy and good flavor.

We appreciated the Reddit recommendation to try this spot in the food desert of Cumming!…read more An early Saturday dinner time allowed us to stop by their place which is located next to a local small grocery store. We were quickly seated and overall service was very friendly and accommodating. My margarita was very fresh tasting and the spicy salt rim was delicious. Next time, I will opt for the 16oz compared to the 12 Oz. Tne fresh juices were tasty as well as the flavor option such as tamarind. Chips were crisp and flaky. So much better than other similar places where the chips were inedible and so hard. We requested red salsa that was more like hot sauce. The salsa that accommodated the chips turned put to be salsa Verde and mayo, not our favorite. So when we were asked, we requested a salsa verde option which was the best choice overall. The $2+ cost for endless chips was worth it for me. Hubby requested the shrimp fajitas and I ordered the shrimp Mexicana platter. Good portion sizes even if flavors were not that complex. Homemade corn tortillas were very good. Overall, an enjoyable meal. Looking forward to our next visit!

I knew if the hot dogs looked like anything in the picture, they would be good, and they were, and I got two. Now, with the staff being so sweet and the hot dogs being so good, I returned the following day. This time I ordered the fried fish, and we got another delicious dish of shrimp and chicken. The sweet hostess, the young girl, told me I would really like my fish if it were fried hard. Well, she was so right. It came out steaming hot, and the seasoning covered the whole fish from the outside to the inside. The skin was so crispy and crunchy, I left nothing behind. Also, as you can see, I ordered the same appetizer on both days. It's a cheesy sauce with chunks of meat inside. By far, this is a favorite too. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu soon.

A California Burrito with guacamole, lettuce, tomato and sour cream is $15. When it was time for lunch, I noticed the burrito had a smear of sour cream, and very little lettuce and tomato, and NO guacamole. I called and they said they didn't have guacamole. It's a $5 difference. Mejor avisar a los clientes cuando faltan ingredientes. The burrito was tasty. But they should let customers know if they don't have the ingredients to make what they ordered, especially if they pay extra for those ingredients.
