We ordered steak tacos and didn't eat them because the meat tasted spoiled. We've ate here a few times in the last few months and I've had tough steak with lots of gristle a few times but the meat being spoiled is a big NO for me. Service was great. Ambiance is OK, but don't be fooled by the outside as the food was well worth it. I ordered the 3 Reinas Burrito with shredded chicken and asked for my onions well done. It was great, but the onions were not done as well as I prefer. The homemade hot sauce you can ask for was the real kicker for me...I like hot but tasteful and there's did not disappoint. If I find myself in Elberton again, I'll definitely go back! Side note: I would have given 5 stars but the salsa with the chips when we were seated was not my favorite and the fact that my onions were not well done as I asked held up the rating. read more

I always try to be positive in my reviews and to point out the good while making suggestions for improvement. Here, the only positive element to our whole experience was the pleasant smile and attentive service accorded us by our waitress. We had quesadilla, our waitress' suggestion, with shredded lettuce (inedible yellow and browned on the edges), defried beans that more resembled watered down bean soup, farm cheese that tasted stale and beef on the quesadilla that was so tough and full of gristle that I had to take it out of my smooth because it was unchewable--as was the "made-in-house" chorizo I had on my taco and the "steak" on my other taco. Unfortunately, the only other dish we ordered was guacamole. Even had it not tasted as if someone spilled a whole bottle of salt in it, and tried unsuccessfully to spoon out the excess, its consistency was that of slightly thick soup and its color was greenish yellow brown, as if it had sat all weekend and been stirred up again to hide the discoloration. Worst of all, however, was that in spite of their health department rating (88) and even though the restaurant had just opened, both the men's and women's rest rooms were filthy, with trash cans full to bursting and the toilet rim spattered and filthy from numerous users--not just one or two. Returning to my table, I noticed the equally distressing dishwashing area. I have included photos for your reference. I did not photograph any food, though I should have but it wouldn't have in any way resembled the photos that we saw on Facebook and Trip Advisor. Whoever that little Jay Jay, Jj dude? Who was cooking "the chef".... or calls himself the chef was incredibly rude. Rude to the server that was working and incredibly unprofessional. I don't ever cuss, but this dude ... man he was horrible. Anyways, We were in Elberton all the way from Atlanta... we didn't end up ordering food, because that really set us off. We only ordered drinks and some awful cheese dip and the salsa was terrible. The chef said he didn't make tostadas after 2PM. Not sure why that would even be a rule? This place is not Mexican. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant here in town. Always greeted with a smile and a great atmosphere for just one or a family The service is proficient and the food is appetizing. When I was there last week, I got the fajitas-flavorful and juicy!!!. During the time I was there, I watched the restaurant fill up with customers who where eager to be cared for and enjoy the delicious meals prepared.
