Friendly, but delayed on orders. I ordered a plaque & emailed them the wording of the plaque on time. Never got a receipt since there was no down payment. I told the lady exactly the time & day I needed it. When it's time for pick-up, the plaque wasn't ready because the lady said I didn't specify the time. This is impossible because we have a luncheon with the person that is leaving so I have to give the right time in order to get it to him for his event. Her excuse was, if she knew she would have wrote it on the receipt. I didn't get any receipt. The plaque wasn't ready until two days later. The day of the pick-up, Melissa called me & asked me if the dates on the plaque are correct. Shouldn't I get this call days early to confirm the wordings on the plaque, not on the day of the late pick-up?! I was hyped up with this place, not anymore. read more

As soon as I called and just wanted to ask for an update on my order they left me on hold for 20min so I drove to them while still on hold. When I got there they said they forgot I was on the phone but nobody else was in there. I requested an update which is all I wanted, and the lady walks to the back texting on her phone and leaves me in the front for another 15min. Then when I got my engraved items they didn't even do it right. I recommend not doing business with them. read more

l called to see if a particular frame style could be ordered to reframe a diploma. I even gave them the name a number of the style and was told I would get a call back as soon as she looked it up. I week and a half later I called them back and told them how long I'd been waiting for a call back. I was told the woman I talked to was busy with a customer and would call me as soon as she was done with that customer. I has now been another 10 days and I still have not received a call back. Though the women I talked to on the phone were very friendly, I would not recommend calling them for information. Maybe going into the store would have worked better who knows. I won't ever be going in there. read more

I recently moved to Killeen and in the transition, one of my flag boxes broke. I took it in to have the glass repaired. I was told it would be ready in a week. The day prior to it being ready for pick up. I was called by the store letting me know that my box would be ready at 1 pm the following day. This next day. I went in at 1pm. When I told them I was there to pick up the box, I was told that they don't cut glass and handed me my box back! After keeping it for a week, they told me this! I immediately left and went across the parking lot to another guidon shop and they cut and replaced the glass on the spot within 10 min! DO NOT USE THIS SHOP AT ALL! read more

I have been going to Air and Armor for all of my unit's PCS, ETS, and Retirement awards, and they have been Awesome! Fair pricing quick turnaround and Extremely Friendly Staff. Almost to the point where I feel I may have to give them an award for their services for my unit! I have hear some horror stories about some of their competitors giving one price at time of order and trying to charge almost double when they were trying to pick it up. That is definitely bad business! I highly recommend Air and Armor to anyone looking for plaques or framed Guidons they have never let me down! The gift itself was cool and the citations were neat and well engraved but the statue i purchased was cheaply and lazily hot glued onto its wooden base. As we were presenting the gift, the statue broke off from its wooden base. the lady that runs the shop offered to fix it for free and to a higher standard, i declined her offer but it was a nice gesture. The gift was a little unsatisfactory in the end but after I fixed it, it looked really good. They have many unique selections in a great price range. read more

Every individual working there has gone out of their way to offer exceptional customer service, accommodate any special requests and get the products completed in a timely manner. May 8, 2018 On April 16, I ordered 3 custom frames (replacements for damaged frames) and left 1 frame to be repaired and glass replaced. I was told the order would be ready for pickup in 3 weeks on May 3. On the morning of May 3, I received a call to let me know the frames were NOT ready because they forgot to order the frames. They wanted me to wait another week. I did not agree to wait another week. When I went to pickup the items I had left, they had not even fixed the broken frame and replaced the glass. They offered to fix the frame that day but I did not leave it. I did receive a phone call not long after I left the shop and was told that they would replace the glass and repair the frame at no charge. I told them I was not bringing my items back for them to fix. I expressed my feelings about the order not being ready when they said it would be and that I would not be using them in the future. I was told that they had been busy and that is why the frames were not ready. Also, they are 1 person short in the frame department. I was then offered a 10% discount on my next order if I changed my mind. I will not change my mind. They are apparently taking in more orders than they are able to fill. I ordered a retirement plaque and while the final product was good, I cannot give them a solid 5 because of the costumer service. Just to be clear, they treated me with respect and were super nice; however, I was told a certain date to go pick it up and when I showed up I was told that it was not ready (mind you that I gave them more than two weeks to complete). So we decided to try back later in the day. When we came back that afternoon, again we had to wait! Once they finally brought the plaque out we noticed certain things were not right. The plaque consisted of all the patches the Soldier has used over his career. Of the 9 patches 4 of them were upside down, the name plates were inverted, and the PFC rank was upside down ass well. We brought this to their attention and they stated it would take about 10 min to fix. We decided to let them have more time on it and pick it up on the following Monday. Again, when we went to pick it up they told us to wait 10 min, and still came out with one of the patches inverted. When we finally got it back to the office we noticed they had changed the black subdued rank to gold color (not what was asked for). I feel they didn't take the time to do the research for the proper placement of the ranks and patches. Maybe the person who created our plaque is new or had a lot of work to do, but (1) this is a military community, and they should be aware of how the insignias are placed (2) they could have just contacted us to let us know the product was not ready; we had to wait both times because the product was not ready (3) they should have asked if it was ok to make changes on the plaque (referring to the different colored ranks) Unfortunately we will try out other places in the future. read more
