Air Duct Aseptics advertises exceptional credentials and qualifications for their crew but we have been disappointed with the overall quality of their work, the communication to the us/the customer, the management of the project and the prices. They were called to do a mold remediation and air duct cleaning. However, the owners of the company sent out sub-contractors without managing the end result of their work. When the crew came in the first day we asked them to use Ram Board protection paper on the floors that we had bought. They said that it would be ok and not to worry because the job would not cause any damage. They used some transparent plastic covers of their own but poorly laid out and this resulted in damaging the finish of the floor in several places. After a lot of back and forth they offered to find a technician to redo the finishing of the floors which was again done poorly to the degree that we wished to have kept the floor without repairing the finish damage. We ended up with a floor that is half shiny and half matte because the treatment of the floors was done in patches. The contractor they employed for the air-condition cleaning was the same one that repaired the drywall that had to come down and get replaced because of a mold issue. They definitely did not have the required skills to do drywalls because the end result was messy and rough. Besides these big problems everyday was a struggle to keep up with the lack of professionalism and thorough work that this project requires. We had to explicitly ask for refinements all along. On top of all that they overcharge every single part that was needed. As an example we asked to add ultra violet lights in the coil and they charged them $450 each and we found them in different stores for less than $200. Today Ron & Shaun showed up (on time)to clean the 40 year old ducts in my 40 year old home. Need I say more? I was told exactly what they were going to do, and how they were going to do it. After doing some research for a NADCA certified air duct cleaner, I decided to contact Air Duct Aseptics through their website. Their web form asked a few questions regarding the last time my system was serviced and the reason I was contacting them. I have a mildew smell coming from my vents when I power on my A/C. I received no contact from Air Duct Aseptics. I did however... received a call from a company stating I contacted them regarding duct cleaning. I started thinking there is a subsidiary company that handles the duct cleaning. I researched the random company that called me and it does not seem they are related to Air Duct Aseptics. The next day I received a call from another company regarding duct cleaning. Now I'm furious because the only company I contacted was Air Duct Aseptics via their Contact Us option on their website, yet I'm getting spam calls from random companies. I would have preferred no callback versus my personal information handed to random companies to contact me for services which the they are clearly not certified to perform. Total Rip Off!!!! We hired them to clean our ducts due to mildew/mold smell coming from them- We had already had the AC cleaned. It ended up costing $970 to clean and seal the ducts. Right after the service they turned on the ac and it still smelled like mold so they told us we needed them to clean our AC for $1680. At this point We got an independant mold test and the AC unit and 3 vents were tested and 1 vent came back positive for mold. We immediately replaced the ac unit and then called air ducts aseptics to come back and honor their 90 day guarantee. (It had only been 10 days) Instead of redoing the smelly ducts they made all kinds of excuses why they would not honor the guarantee and wanted us to PAY again to do the ducts. BE WARNED!! read more

When I first called this company, I was greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable woman who explained the entire process of having my air ducts cleaned. Shaun showed up to my house at the scheduled time, and he once again explained every step of what he would be doing. He even taught me a few things that I was not even aware of. I used Air Duct Aseptics to clean the A/C ducts in my office. The rep came out and checked out the job and gave me the estimate - $1280, which I thought was a bit high. I asked how long would the job take and he told me 6-8 hours. So I felt a little better and said go ahead. Well, when the job was finished in 3 hours I was feeling really ripped off. So I spoke to the rep, told him they spent only 3 hours and asked him to make an adjustment to the bill. His answer was "absolutely not". This is a total ripoff - over $400/hour for labor is insane. very poor service. Signed up for 1 year quarterly maintenance contract for my a/c and it took 2 years to fill it. I had to call them to come out at least twice per service. Now our ac is very dirty and leaking water... I do not recommend it. read more

First of all, I want to say that Shaun, the guy who did the duct cleaning, was great. He was prompt, friendly, quick, efficient, neat, and he cleaned up after himself. The big problem I had was with the woman at the office, whose name I don't have. Getting hit with hidden fees is a pet peeve of mine, regardless of what kind of business it is. I had two conversations with this woman before booking the appointment. She was very clear that it costs $40 per vent, and as I have 5 vents, it would cost $200 total. I asked if that included everything, if there were any other fees, any tax, service call charge, etc. She said no. So when Shaun shows up and reviews the work order with me, there's an additional $40 charge to clean the register. Of course, this isn't his fault or problem, so I call the office, and wow! She makes it sound like it's my fault that she didn't give me complete information so I could make an informed decision. On my two calls, she was very eager to share information about the process they use, other services, etc. This all could have been avoided if she had simply told me up front that if I wanted the register cleaned, it would be an additional $40, and maybe explained the benefits of doing that. Since she didn't, I feel that this was a hidden fee, and her attitude when I challenged it was unacceptable to me as a customer. She said if I didn't want the register cleaned, then they wouldn't do it. That completely missed the point. Before I made the appointment, I asked for a price on complete duct cleaning. I didn't know that I had to ask for a price for the vents AND a price for the register. How in the world would I know that? You have to trust the businesses you work with, and now I don't trust the front office part of this business. read more
