I watched as Lou was working, seeing him run the vacuumed brush inside our vents for mere seconds before removing them. He was aware of excess dirt, mold and construction dust that laid inside. He then sprayed just the inside behind each vent with a can of Kilz mold repellent. So when he seemed to pause between actions. I politely asked some qualifying questions about the effectiveness of his work. I thought there might be an explanation that would satisfy my concerns. Not so politely Lou raised his voice to a loud and threatening tone, saying he had no time to answer my questions as they were slowing down his work, yet he went on and on at length about having other jobs to get to, rather than responding to my concerns. Later I tried to say something and he drowned my words by over screaming my voice until my heart began to race as he refused to do clean up, saying it wasn't his job, he was just being polite by doing it at all, and that he was cheaper than any one else we might hire. I heard him saying under his breath accusing me of being some kind of racist. He charged what he quoted and I paid him the billed amount for his unsatisfactory service. Finally, I said get out of my house.

I contacted this company to come and service our unit at our office back around the end of July…read more2020. They sent out a tech, who "serviced" the unit and reported to his boss that the unit was leaking at the service valve and he repaired it along with refilling the R-22. He did not explain to me what was the actual problem nor what he did to fix it. He just came back in the office to collect the payment for services rendered and to check if the air was blowing cold. The air blew fine for a few days and then returned to only blowing out hot air. My duties have me in and out of the office at all times and it was not until a few days later that I was able to have a chance to call their office and report that the unit was not working, blowing cold air. This is when I got a chance to speak with the "Boss." Not sure if I have the name correct but I believe it is Rolly or Romie. The conversation with him was less then productive and brimming with an unprofessional, aggressive, bully-like attitude that I had taken too long to call him about the "work" that was supposedly done. Pictures were taken and sent to me and he assured me that his tech did what the invoice stated was done and the fault lay with the unit itself being old and in need of being replaced. I had originally dealt with a sales rep named Walter who was professional, humble, and informative. He even sent proposals for options to replace the unit. When I asked to speak with Walter, instead of having to be spoken to as if I was the target of the school yard "bully," I was lied to and told that it was his off day when in fact, I had found out later, Walter had quit working for this company. I followed up with emails and only received more excuses and blame on the units age and that the tech would come out and check the unit again but, if he found any new issues we would be charged again for the service call and cost of repairs, if any. A family friend advised me that he, in fact, was a hvac tech and that he would come by and check the unit out. In short, he came out and looked the unit over and to my surprise found a leak, on of all things, the service valve and that the unit had no refrigerant. He made a video showing the leak, and showing that he did replace the valve and refilled the R-22. The air began to blow cold again and has been blowing cold since. He also discovered another leak that was also repaired with a quick weld. So if he found all these things, my question was, what did the Cool Running Air tech really do to my unit? Why did he not see the same leak that needed to be welded when he was working on the unit? I emailed Cool Running Air about this new revelation and the fact that the service valve was actually fixed this time and offered to send the videos I was provided. That email was sent on 8/12/20. As of the date of this writing, I have not received a response in any form. In closing, my soliloquy is to point out, in my opinion and first time experience with this "company," that they are dishonest and only concerned with praying on the lack of knowledge people have with hvac so that they can sell people like me new units. I would not recommend using this company unless you want to be strong armed into buying a new unit for your office space or your home. I usually do not write reviews, especially bad ones, but these guys left a real bad taste in my mouth and I had to share this experience with everyone to save someone from making the same mistake I made. I was happy that they were able to schedule me within 48 hours of me calling in for a non emergency AC maintenance. I had to wait a little longer than they initially told me but i was glad to see that both technicians, Yosmani and Josue (hope I'm spelling their names correctly) wore face masks the entire time and were extremely helpful. They went out of their way to make sure I understood exactly what was needed and why. They took the extra time that other technicians have not, to show me how I can do monthly maintenance myself so that the unit is better cleaned. Yosmani even had to install new tubing to make it easier for me to access for cleaning. When unexpected home maintenance expenses come about, it's not a good thing to have to deal with but the great service and having someone take their time to look at how best to prevent this problem, makes it worth the inconvenience.

Before my AC would run for hours without stopping during the summer, but with the new unit it was night and day difference. From the salesman to the installers that came out, they were all professional and knocked it out in a day. I even got the ultra UV light because my wife and son are very allergic. 1 star because they won't let me choose 0 stars....My 84 year old mother called me and said her AC…read morewas not working, when I went there the AC was off and when I tried to turn it on it made a humming noise, after fooling with the on/off switch a bit I got it to turn on but I called Tri-County out to take a look because it was making a vibration noise, when the service guy got there and opened it up he said the squirrel cage had a broken fin and was causing the vibration it would cost $475... when I explained to him that it was making a humming noise when I turned it on when I got there, he said ( without checking) it needed a new motor as well and that the humming was from the coils in the motor and if he didn't replace the motor too it wouldn't work, and it would be $375 more I asked him what the total would be he said $850 ( and that was a deal because he already had the squirrel cage out, otherwise it would be a lot more)... My mother was floored because as I said she's 84 and on social Security and cannot afford a hit like that, but said she needed to have it done and since he was there just go ahead and do it, I had taken off work to help her so when we had a price she agreed on I went ahead and went to work. A couple hour later my mother call me and said the repair guy said everything was done but there was still a problem with the AC unit and she put him on the phone with me, I asked him what the problem was he said when he turn the machine on it still made the humming noise!!! and that she needed a new resistor on the unit!!! ( I don't even think the $375 motor was bad at this point because it was doing the same humming thing!!!) asked him how much... $135 more!!! Bringing the total to $985!!! According to my math... He never said anything about taxes or anything and I figured when he gave me the total of the squirrel cage and motor at $850 he wasn't adding any taxes or service charges so... my mother called me a couple hours later and told me he charged her $1139.50.... Apparently there was $154.50 in taxes

This was my second call to EZ and the first experience was already questionable but desperate times…read morecall for desperate measures. Our AC was acting up over the holiday and we called back the technician Robert that had previously "fixed" our AC. There is no clear cut pricing everyone likes to charge what they feel is fair for the service calls, our technician Robert was friendly but had zero social cues. He continued to push for work to be done that we were not ready for, he wasn't taking no for an answer. Robert was telling myself and my mother in law my husband said yes so he was going to do the work when my husband and I communicated clearly we did not want to proceed with him and to please leave our home. He stayed outside on the phone with the owner of the company and explained I said no but my husband said yes which was not the case at all. Poor communication is one thing but lack of professionalism and pressuring clients to do work that is costing $385 and then he knocks it down to $350 because he has to drive somewhere to pick up the parts? The most confusing conversation and I'm so glad our regular AC guy came by to confirm we were being taken advantage of. I called the main number and reached a guy to explain the situation I believe his name was Eric. He literally laughed when I explained how uncomfortable it was dealing with Robert. 10/10 would NOT recommend, the work is unclear and they talk so much the entire time you'll be left confused and unsure as to what you're even paying for.
