For the cost of $2800, you get a bunch of useless templates and empty promises. There is very little counseling and admissions guidance with regard to the law school admissions process. The most disappointing aspect of the counseling was the personal statement critique which was absolutely horrible, especially considering the background and expertise of Sonel Shropshire. After submitting my application package to the recommended mix of 10 law schools, I had another party review my personal statement and it was ripped apart by said party. So, I had to redraft my personal statement and send my application package to a few more schools to increase my chances of Fall 2011 admission. Also, many of my law schools of choice were schools out of reach considering my LSAT score, yet Sonel did not dissuade me from applying to as many higher-ranked schools, nor did he care to persuade me to take a more practical/realistic approach in applying to a few more lower-ranked schools. Sonel claims to have an insider's edge because of his connections in the law arena, with him having served as a dean at law schools within four separate tiers of schools. Granted, he may have these connections but don't rely on him using them for you as his client. There was no advocacy on my part from him, which was confirmed after I requested copies of his correspondence to law school deans on more than one occasion and was completely ignored. In addition to all of this, I did not receive access to all of the templates that he grants his "premier" clients (including the Socratic method template and post admission resources), although I paid for a premier service. I had been recently wait-listed at a law school and he had the nerve to ask weeks after I notified him if I wanted him to contact a specific dean "off the record" in order to expedite removal from the wait list. Ummm, is this type of service not what I paid for? Lastly, this man does not conduct himself as a professional. When I expressed my concerns to him as a client, he basically told me there was nothing that he can do for me, and proceeded to take jabs at my candidacy and remark about my not being able to get into Harvard, Yale, or Columbia Law when I never attempted, nor would I attempt to get into those law schools with my VERY average LSAT score, knowing that chances of admission is extremely contingent upon your stats (numbers: undergrad GPA, LSAT score). While he claims there is no refund policy, he blasted out an email recently asking for referrals where he said there is a money-back guarantee for his service. That was it for me. So moral of the story: you can be admitted into law school without this charlatan's assistance. You can also do without spending your money on a service and not receive it, while being abused during the process. Run the other way!!!! Seriously.

My entire LSAT class in Austin, TX used Sonel in getting into law school. All of us, but one, were admitted. The one that wasn't admitted decided to attend graduate school. That's the only reason why I went to the University of Georgia Law School - their personalized attention. The Dean's probably didn't get back to you because they saw no value in responding to you. Maybe you should've spent more time studying and being prepared for the entire law school admissions process, instead of writing reviews and complaining. That's not the lawyer way! :-) Beef up on those academics and give yourself a shot.....somewhere, anywhere lol
