First of all, if you are reading reviews to find out which shop you should go to get your car bagged, you can stop right now. The search is over. Go here. I did tons of research to find the best air ride suspension installers throughout SoCal and even in some other states. This place came up multiple times in forums, Facebook groups, Instagram, etc. I messaged them about what I was looking for and they responded in a very timely fashion. I asked them a ton of questions, and each question was carefully answered. All of this was BEFORE I placed any deposit or committed to go with their shop. Once I made my deposit and set up an appointment, it was straight, smooth sailing. I dropped my car off on a Monday and got it back Wednesday afternoon. The longer lead time was mainly because I wanted height sensors as part of my setup. Initially the height sensors wouldn't work with some after-market rear camber arms, which they installed for me, due to a non-existent bracket. However, Sal over at Air Ride Equipment made a custom bracket to install the height sensors on my rear suspension. Amazing! On pick-up day, the car looks AMAZING! I'm very particular about my car and they did not damage ANYTHING, and it was in the exact same condition as I left it. Honestly, I couldn't even tell they did anything until that is they slammed my car to the ground :) They went through all the various settings and options on the controller, and Sal and I went on a test drive to see how the system works. They answered any questions that I had, and I was on my way. Several weeks later, the system still operates perfectly. The best part of this place is the lifetime parts and installation warranty, which is unheard of, but I highly doubt I will ever have to use that since their installation process and method is just flawless. The best part about this shop is they focus exclusively on air suspension installs, unlike other shops that do full body repair, and maintenance in addition to air suspension installs, so you can trust that they do the job right! With all the wonderful reviews, I came here believing I would get a similar experience. However, I am disappointed with the amount of bs I had to deal with. I tried to write my entire experience but even yelp has it limits. Bottom line, it took over 5 months for my parts to arrive after being sent home with half the job having paid the full amount. After dropping my car for installation on 8/16/21, they sent a DM letting me know they did not have the tank color I requested. Ok, fine not a big issue. Next day, they apologize because the air struts had not been delivered. Okay, picked up my car and went home. The parts did not arrive. I received an apology and was offered a different strut brand. I gave the ok to make the switch. However, I asked for 10% off their service due to the delay and last minute changes. They eventually agreed. Even told me someone else with a Honda Civic came in and got their parts installed and left very happy. Great, I hope my experience becomes the same. Well, this is where things get worse. At the time, I did not know my bf was following Air Ride on Instagram. He was constantly seeing Air Ride post how many installs they've done and comments how we're still waiting. Air ride responded to him and let him know, one other person and myself are still waiting for parts because of the Covid delay. This is all the info I know about their interaction. Parts arrive 01/03/22. Made an appointment to go back on 5/25/22, just to be sent home again because the new front air struts that was delivered was the wrong size. They apologized and said they didn't know why the manufacture would send the wrong struts. Oh well. Not much I can do. They reached out to me when they got the correct struts on 06/10/22. I made an appointment for 06/15/22. On June 15th, I arrive, go to the restroom and come back out to find that Ray went up to my bf, when I was not present. He claims to have gone up to my bf to apologize but his demeanor and vibe was way off. When I entered the room, Ray was so close to my bf's face, I thought he was going to kiss him. I see Ray's stance and I immediately feel the tension in the room. I walk up and say "uhhh that's pretty close." He turns to me with anger in his eyes/voice and says, in a condescending tone, "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, were you in the restroom? Heh Heh Oh, I'm sooo sorry. I didn't know". Idk why he was apologizing but it did not feel sincere. Ray tells me that my bf is "thankful and grateful to be here to get the work done" and I let him know that yes we are both very excited. He then starts asking my bf what he does for a living. My bf tells him he works on cars and tires. Ray brings up that there's a 6 month shortage on tires that is still happening today and that being someone in the industry, "don't you think the message and comments you left were a little harsh!?" My bf chimes in by letting him know the facts: "You took 5k and sent her home with half the job and that 5k is a lot of money." Ray slowly repeats "5k... that's a lot of money." I try to interrupt to ask what's going on here. Ray ignores me and continues to talk to my bf. I ask them to stop, to drop the conversation as I am here happy and waiting to get this done. Ray then tells my bf "How about we take this conversation outside!" In my head, I'm like, why? So you can fight him? I stood up, blocked my bf from following him, and told Ray "No." Ray asked me why and it's pretty obvious at this point that nothing good will come out of this situation if I don't stop it now. I told him because of how I was feeling about it. It didn't feel good at all. "OK, OUT OF RESPECT FOR THAT, I WILL HONOR IT!" -Ray I receive a DM apology from Air Ride while my bf and I were still sitting in their office. They let me know that Ray has sent me a DM apology on Instagram as well. But if he had took the risk to get that loud and aggressive to our faces, then surely he would have the decency to apologize to my face as well. Right? Sad to say this was not the case. Ray sends a DM apology to me and my bf for getting upset about the comments made on the Instagram, lets me know I will not get charged ever again if I ever need work from them in the future, lets me know that the lifetime warranty still applies and he will continue to care for my car if needed. One of the employees hands me a $50 gas card for which I am completely grateful for. I was not expecting it because of the situation we just encountered but nonetheless grateful. As for the car, if you don't know the story behind the bags, then it looks cool. But to me, I just feel like crap every time I get in it. Confused, traumatized, and just sad that I did not get the same experience everyone else had. I had my 2020 370Z worked on by these guys. They did a killer job on doing my wood trunk install. I had to come back for a 2nd time. The 1st time, I had an appointment, but if you know the car industry, sometimes it doesn't always go as plan. But the owner called me, told me he would take care of me and was sorry for the inconvenience. Was shorty taken care of and they went above and beyond. Trash! Had them put a new controller and regulator and had them install two pumps brand new that I brought with me . Told me two days when it hit a week I called and they told me the guy was going on vacation and then I wouldn't have my car back for another week. Jammed them up told them that's not what we agreed upon and somehow magically the next day at noon my car was done Had to go back because of a leak that was already there. All I can say is this place is full of opportunists no honor or pride in their work. Unfortunately that's how I came away from this when I got there to take care of the leak. Had to sit in the parking lot and wait for them to finish lunch, customer customer service was amazing until they sold me something disappointed man. Where to start...... well first off this is a AMAZING COMPANY/Shop!!!!!!!! They go above and beyond for their customers! The owner is super chill, cool, and funny lol (you'll see when you go to the shop). He doesn't BS around though. He takes care of everyone and makes sure your vehicles are well taken care of as well. He does his work right and clean which is a hard combination to come by now-a-days. They don't do just airbags to cars, but they do it for trucks amongst other "toys" as well. He not only does trucks but he offers other services with the airbags which is "towing bags" for pickups (or other vehicles). I hope to get that soon since now my truck "sags" if I tow something relatively heavy. I know those bags will definitely help. He has done other things besides air bags. For me he has installed a front leveling kit for my truck, and lowered the vette using the "factory suspension bolts," so he doesn't do just bags. I recently had air bag problems with an air system in my Ford F-350 truck. The air bag system was previously installed by the first owner. Calling around a shop or two no one was interested in helping me get it repaired. I even went as far as towing to a shop and then there inability to repair. I found Raymond and Augie at Air Ride Equipment to be extremely helpful and after some persuading on my part they took the truck in immediately since I didn't want to tow back home and then to their shop. It was fixed the next day. They know what they are doing, and helpful, sort of like taking your vehicle to a family member. Their are the best auto shop I have ever dealt with. You can tell by just speaking with Raymond, he genuinely cares about your business and is willing to go the extra mile for you. He is a perfect example of how any person in Customer Service should be and communicate with they're customers. Also, not to mention, Sal is extremely knowledgable in air suspension and took the extra time to show me every little thing regarding my kit. Another thing I'd like to point out is they post every thing on Instagram. From the time I took in my car, I immediately saw them working on it through Instragram stories and was able to follow along and see the progress. These guys are also extremely quick, I took my car in Monday morning and was back on the road Wednesday morning.
