I love recommending Air One because they are so professional and timely. Every person we refer to Air One has been so happy with Billy and his team, it is lovely! We discovered Air One when our home's AC went out in the middle of summer. We received a few quotes and chose Billy because he was way more knowledgeable than any other company that came out to quote the job. He shared facts, information and recommended the proper sizing based on our home. He is a seasoned professional in all things HVAC related and not a salesman. He checked to make sure our system didn't just need a repair and worked with our electrician to see if the old unit could come back to life. It was grounded and couldn't be saved but I appreciated the effort and try. Billy is about putting the right unit in your home and gives you options in that range. His team went in an attic that was swelteringly hot to say the least to evaluate the situation. Install was a tough order because they were carrying a massive furnace up a flight of stairs and in an attic on newly refinished hardwood floors and painted walls. Air One was INCREDIBLY respectful of our floors and did a beautiful job. Billy made sure to put a towel down when they opened the attic door every time. If you just let him know, he makes sure his team takes great care. He went out of his way to make sure our home was without AC for the shortest amount of time possible when they was a shortage of units. His team took the absolute best care of our family. He showed up for us and cared in a manner that is rare. When we had a cooling issue pop up a few months later and my in laws were visiting he rushed out that night so my mother in law wouldn't have to sleep in a too warm home. My MIL adores Billy and the other tech that was with them. They showed up at like 7 or 9pm on a Friday night to get our system back up to full speed. When we had other remodeling work going on Billy and his team got along and worked well with our other vendors. He helped put in venting for our range hood to send the air outside rather than circulate in the home. He and his team worked with our electrician and contractor to get everything set up smoothly. We passed county inspections of the project in a breeze and the system works perfectly. (It was installed 6+ months ago.) Billy and his team continue to amaze me with their service and knowledge. They are so well versed in what they do it is refreshing. Billy is all about HVAC and helped our neighbors sort out a semi complex issue to get the house to cool evenly. Through inspecting they find the issue and present the best solution. Truly seasoned pros. They always take and share photos to show the issue with their recommendation. We just had them out to service our AC units for our home. We have been very happy with all of our Air One experiences since we started using them a year ago. We had an emergency and our unit wasn't working, so I searched for 24 hr companies to come out because it was late and the other company's technician was dramatic and shady, telling us things were far worse than they were, was dishonest, and tried to get us to sign up for their subscription before even coming out and then wanted to sell us a $15-$20K replacement unit, which we didn't even need yet. We will ONLY trust Hodge and learned that you can call after hours and if they are available will come out because someone is on call and if not, you will be put into the queue for first thing the next morning. Many others did as well but Josh was the only one who offered to come out that day and address (Sunday). Josh arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem and resolved it. He even had me simulate what caused the issue and looked over the other breakers. Ultimately, he determined we had a failing breaker and got us up and running Sunday until he could replace the problem breaker with a new one on Monday. Hornet's Heating and Cooling replaced and installed a new outside unit 7 years ago and replaced the…read moreevaporator coils on the unit in my attic. This weekend my ac stopped working and I had another HVAC company come out to diagnosis. I provided paperwork from Hornets that I have a 10 year manufacturing warranty and a 5 year warranty on certain parts. After their diagnosis, they informed me the evaporator coils were damaged and that old parts were used. The outside unit was a 2018 model, but the parts were from 2014. Not only were old parts used, Hornets did not register the parts, therefore voiding the warranty, as well as the installation of the outside unit was of poor work. Now I'm having to pay another HVAC company to replace a unit that typically should have a usefulness of at least 10 years. I would give them 0 stars, but I have to give 1 in order to post this review.

Drew from Hornet HVA in…read moreConcord, NC came to install a new Hvac system in our home in April of this year.  When he left he told us, and we thought we had a good unit we could depend on.  Three day after he installed the unit, it wasn't cooling properly.  He said his guys didn't fill the unit with coolant  when it was installed and he topped it off.  We only used the ac sporadically until the week of June 12th.  Four days after we started using the unit daily, a water leak developed that damaged the sheet rock below it and the floor.  Thank God it was only a storage closet.  I called Drew and asked him to come out and check it.  He said he would be out that afternoon.   After waiting til 8pm, I called back and he wouldn't answer my call. I also sent him a text  with no response.   We had to call a plumber and another hvac company to fix the problems. The new hvac company said it was leaking coolant and oil.  He said if Drew had done the proper diagnostic upon installation,  he would have found the unit was DAMAGED.  It cost us another $3000 dollars to correct the problem.   I didn't see the post from a year ago that had the same experience until today.  After he gets your money, don't expect to hear from him again.  His failure up becomes your problem not his.  Please DO NOT allow Drew to do any installation work at your home.
