Had a great morning with Captain Joshua! Our family of four joined him for an hour airboat excursion. First, I've been a lifelong boater, but hadn't been on an airboat. My perception was that they'd be unstable... which was FAR from the case, still or underway the boat felt perfectly safe. As we left the dock, several large gators could be seen "cruising" the river. We headed for the springs and then worked our way around the lake, seeing gators and birds and turtles... we hoped to see a manatee, but weren't lucky on our morning, but other posts they had been in the area in the prior days. But what was really cool and unexpected was, while we got really up close and personal with a bunch of small gators and one sizable one, the education that came with the trip from Joshua was incredible. He's grown up in the area and has an incredible depth of knowledge about the river and also animal behavior., and has a great way of sharing it with his guests. We'd highly recommend a morning with Joshua to anyone who wants to both see and learn more about this really amazing corner of the world. read more

Had a great tour with Captain Josh! This guy really knows his stuff. I'm from California. I was here visiting family, and one of the things I love about Florida is the variety of wildlife and critters! We went on the 90 minute tour to find and look at alligators! Somehow Captain Josh can spot these creatures from far away and tucked into bushes. He's really an expert. We got up close and personal with giant alligators and I believe one was even 11 feet! We also saw a bald eagle, turtles, and such a large variety of birds! Josh knows how to identify each bird and he will tell you which one is which. We went during the end of the day and the sunset on the water is by far one of the most beautiful I've ever seen (and I live near the water on the west coast). I was speechless! It was such a fun and relaxing time. Captain Josh is knowledgeable and calm, I felt really safe! What a great time! read more

What a great day!!! Been on a few airboats rides here in Florida over the years. The others didn't even come close to seeing the Gators and Manatees plus much more then I did here. Josh was very professional and flexible. Had a great knowledge of the area and the wildlife that we encountered. We never felt rushed in anyway and would stop to take pictures and ask questions at anytime during are ride. Airboat was very clean and comfortable. Captain also said we picked best time of year. Informed us that it's not always this way. Seriously we couldn't count how many gators we saw. It was that many!!!! If you plan on doing this trip, call ahead. Plan on a warmer day and sunny if you can. Gators will be out of water sunny them selfs. If to hot they stay in the water. We had such an amazing experience with Capt. Josh! Brittany communicated so well & made sure we knew where we were going & what to wear, & was understanding when we were running a couple minutes behind. We drove about an hour & half from Jacksonville, since their prices are a fraction of what airboat rides cost in the surrounding area. Capt. Josh was friendly, knowledgeable, & so easy to talk to. He reminded us of Ben from HGTV's Hometown. It was a relaxing & fun filled hour in which we enjoyed the wind in our hair & sun on our face as we saw gators, birds, & beautiful scenery. He gave us info on other sites to see in the area, & they didn't disappoint. Make sure to dress in warm clothes, since it's a bit cold & windy during the ride, & be weary of the temptation to sell everything you own to move to Florida & buy an airboat. We visited on March 26, 2019. We thought we'd be better off going earlier in the day, but the late afternoon was great because the sun was shining on the east bank of Lake Woodruff, where all the big gators were warming themselves. Josh took us to the area just below DeLeon Springs state park, and we saw manatees within the first 5-10 minutes of the tour. We sat with the motor off and watched them surface several times and got some great pics and video. After, we took a waterway at idle speed and saw turtles, gators, and several species of birds, to include an osprey nest. The experience was well worth it. It seemed like we were riding around on a friend's airboat instead of a regimented tourist attraction. Capt. Justin and Brittany are amazing. Their hospitality is incredible. Brittany starts it off with great customer service, she communicates everything needed to have a great experience. When we got there Captain Justin was sanitizing the equipment for our safety and then we set off for the best air boat ride. Justin is very knowledgeable and was determined to make sure we saw gators!! He topped it off with sending us the most amazing pictures of everything we just saw on our tour. We are from New York so he gave us some great recommendations for what to do and where to eat. Both Captain Justin and Brittany went above and beyond to give us a great experience!! What an AMAZING experience we had with Captain Josh on his airboat! He and his wife Brittany run a first class operation and went the extra mile with us! We saw 50 plus baby gators, several 10ft+ gators, and all sizes in between! Manatees, eagles, and Captain Josh is so knowledgeable about the animals! He taught us so many cool facts along the way and my three kids asked loads of questions and he kindly answered them all! It was their best science class of the year ;)! As we were in the water he took pictures and videos for us and then immediately airdropped them to us when we were done! There are certain businesses that just care about your money. This isn't one of them. Captain Josh, thinking that fulfilling my Don Johnson 1980's fantasy of riding in an airboat was not enough, kept us out longer to try to find wildlife. I understand that we showed up in an off time. I knew that the odds of us seeing wildlife were slim. I didn't give a SHI! I just wanted to ride on an airboat. However, he took the time to find wildlife, send me pictures days later, and even provided my fiancé and I with a fantastic steak recommendation for that evening. If you are here, and want to know what you need to do. Stop. Book them, and get your ass in the boat. read more

My husband and I had a great adventure on the airboat with Captain Josh this February. We saw alligators, baby gators, manatees, and many birds. He knows where to find the wildlife and is very knowledgeable. While we took pictures, he did as well, and shared them with us when the tour was over. Communication was prompt and friendly through his wife Brittany. Following the tour, he made some lunch recommendations and we enjoyed one of his suggestions. He also suggested a visit to Blue Spring State Park. We visited that park and we're glad we did, as we saw more manatees wintering there. We were visiting family, from MD, and haven't had the experience of an airboat yet. Cpt. Joshua and Brittany were extremely easy to schedule the tour with, texted us to ensure we had all the information we needed, and made our experience the best! I highly recommend this tour with Josh! We had an off-day due to the natural season where the wildlife was not out in full force but we still enjoyed it! We saw gators, and even two manatees that came right up to our boat. Josh is an expert of the area and really worked to show us every hiding spot. A storm came through within minutes after we exited the boat. We were lucky we got the whole tour in and Josh knows the weather patterns and when to say "let's go" ! This one caught our eye and it turned out to be a great tour. The seats were comfortable, Josh and Brittany were in constant contact the day of the tour as there was a possibility of rain and best of all, Josh took photos of many of the magic moments that he sent to us. Brittany and Joshua were great! Brittany was in charge of appointments and make sure we were prepared for our ride- she even sent us directions to the nearest bathroom which was VERY helpful. Captain Joshua was extremely informative and friendly and the whole family enjoyed this ride! (Our favorite sights were the King Fisher and baby gators!) Captain Josh is the best! His airboat is beautiful with custom gator seats and the headsets are super helpful when talking while the big fan is going. Amazing time! Captain Josh is knowledgeable & gives you the best air boat experience! We had so much fun seeing the gators of all sizes, birds, eagles, turtles and more! Best part of our vacation- hands down!!! -- Unanimously for our group - the absolute best thing we did on vacation. Our teenage grandsons loved it!!!
