Great food and service the staff was very friendly stopped here for a late night dinner. They have pingo nights and big prizes like a free boat ride Honestly it's such a great location with the swimming area in front of it .

The food was amazing! We had both the buttermilk pancakes and the flavor of the month (brownie) with chocolate chips. Our server was wonderful! Kind, friendly and patient with a first time visitor. The prices were absolutely reasonable and the overall experience was fun and thoroughly enjoyable. The only (slight) drawback was going during the heat of the day with a hot griddle in front of us...it was a lot more than this Minnesota gal is used to. Tip: their wait list can get long - it was 2 1/2 hrs when we arrived - but we got on the list, typed the museum and took the boat cruise and our wait when we got back was only about 20 minutes. They will text you when you're table is ready and, if you let them know you're going on the boat cruise, they will hold your spot if your table is ready before you're back. Would definitely recommend!

Been looking to come here for a decade. The building was built in 1900. It's an awesome experience, great prices and located inside a state park. If you order eggs, pancakes or French toast you cook them yourself on the griddle at the table.

What a different way to experience dining! This place is special and beautiful! The view- amazing! There are family activities to do after you eat breakfast. Swimming, boat tour, watching wildlife and nature! We definitely be back !

Since I wasn't hungry I decided to just order a coffee. If you want to eat at this really cool restaurant you will have to make sure you make a reservation and go on a boat tour or get in the springs and come back because it does take a while to be called but I heard the food is amazing here. I ordered a caramel iced coffee with cold foam and it tasted great but they don't offer straws only a spoon. I would definitely like to come back to have the food here.

This place is AMAZING. The pancakes are delicious with lots of batter options including gluten free. The toppings are very expensive tho, it's like $5 per cup of toppings for like one banana. Also the waitress was not super happy and was a little rude. We did the valentines special so there was no wait, but I've heard the wait can be 3-4 hours easily. Cute ambiance, a little dark I really liked the hot chocolate. They did NOT offer real maple syrup on the menu. I had to buy a jar of it there which was $20. I'm surprised for a place like this they don't offer it

There have been mixed reviews on this place. But we had a great experience. This is a cool concept where you can order AYCE pancakes and make them yourself at the tabletop griddle. As well as cook your own eggs! We had fun doing this. They cook any meat for you. There was a ton of pancake batter. We had 3 each and still had enough to take 4 large ones to go. That's right, any batter left can be used for to go pancakes! The staff was super friendly and helpful. They had syrup, and 3 different local homes to use! We had fun. This was a very reasonably priced place for some breakfast.

This is one of Florida's best hidden gems. Plan to make this an entire day event. Swim in the spring, have an amazing breakfast at the Mill the pancakes are just amazing. Michelle was our server today she was amazing. We will return to this place again .

Love love love honestly. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the nicest hostess and then immediately sat down at our table. We were lucky to visit at a time where it had just slowed down but we've heard it gets really really packed on weekends and during summer time so prepare yourself to wait. Everyone is so polite and attentive we truly felt at home. I've truly never been happier to cook my own breakfast! Michelle was our server and she was the sweetest and constantly made sure we were taken care of. I loved how it truly feels so historic and sitting inside a mill.

Emma was our server, she was new to the game and has a great personality for serving! Pancake flavor for this month was out of this world with cinnamon and candied pecans. Breakfast sandwich was fresh and bacon cooked exactly how I like it. Corned hash was dry and it was hard to taste the corned hash. The building is old and rustic, feels like stepping into a grandparents house. Can't wait to come back!

We had such a fantastic experience at Old Sugar Mill Pancake House -- truly one of those "worth it" kind of places. When we arrived at the park ranger station to enter the area, the sign said 3-3.5 hour wait and we honestly almost turned around. We ended up being the last people they were going to seat for the day. We arrived around 2:30 PM and were seated about 3:30 PM (they close at 4), and I'm so glad we stuck it out. The service was outstanding -- friendly, efficient, welcoming, and genuinely hustling to take care of everyone despite how busy it was. You could tell the staff cared about keeping things moving and making sure guests still had a great experience. That alone made the wait feel totally justified. The setting doesn't hurt either -- the springs are absolutely gorgeous. We missed the last boat tour this trip since it leaves at 4, but I've done it in the past and it's excellent -- highly recommend timing your visit earlier if you want to catch that too. All in all, great food, amazing service, beautiful surroundings, and a fun, memorable experience. If you see a crazy wait time, don't panic -- it's worth it. We'll absolutely be back (and earlier next time!).

My adult daughter and I came to visit this past saturday. Start to finish the experience was a pleasurable with the exception of it being quite warm in there, It is understandable because of the griddles on each table. Still, we had so much fun. Notably, the service was impeccable. Michelle was over the top awesome and she was training Jeremy who was also equally awesome. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much for sharing your great place with the community and helping us create great memories.

We recently visited The Old Sugar Mill Pancake House and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. I've been here multiple times in the past and always loved it. I moved back from Colorado recently, and this was my first time coming in probably five or six years. I was genuinely excited to come back. I even brought a friend who flew in from Colorado because I remembered how fun it is to cook your own pancakes on the griddle in the middle of the table. It's such a unique experience, and I personally love the buckwheat pancakes. About an hour before closing, since they close at 4 pm, I called to make sure we could still be seated. The person who answered tried to tell me they were "shutting everything down," even though it was still well within posted business hours. I let her know we would come quickly and not linger. We arrived around 3:22 pm and were seated by Emily. She asked if we were the ones who called, and when I said yes ma'am, she began loudly pushing chairs into other tables in a way that felt irritated. The kitchen is open to the dining area, and while grabbing pancake batter from the refrigerator she sarcastically said, "It's not like I wanted to go home or anything." It was loud enough for us to clearly hear from our table. We ordered immediately and tried to be respectful of the time. We were finished around 3:45 pm, well before closing. Emily even offered that we could finish cooking the rest of the pancakes and take them home. To lighten the mood, I may or may not have made a very creatively shaped pancake in an attempt to get a smile. She did soften a bit toward the end, which I appreciated. I completely understand wanting to go home at the end of a shift. We all do. But if closing time is 4 pm, guests arriving before then should not feel like an inconvenience for being there during posted business hours. I was really looking forward to sharing a fun experience with my friend, and it just felt tense instead. The food was still good, and I still love the concept. I just hope future guests don't feel like they're rushing against someone else's clock. Ps: was sad their bagel cream cheese and cucumber sandwich is gone. Any other time I would've given this a 5 star experience in previous visits.

Ask the Community - Old Sugar Mill Pancake House

Are you open on easter Sunday?

Yes! We are open 365 days a year.

    Can you make reservations?

Yes. For parties of 6 or less add yourself to the waitlist via Yelp.

Do you have vegan pancake mix? Thank you for the response.…

Not yet, but we are working to perfect a recipe for vegan.

Is it a 18% or 20 tip still mandatory?

Yes it's built into your bill.

Do they have gluten free pancake mix?

It's a restaurant it's not a store They don't sell pancake mix. If you're interested in gluten-free pancakes I would call them to see if they sell them.

What time is the best time to go with not a long wait?

I wake early, so eat lunch around 10:30-11. Seems to be not as busy as closer to noon. Lunch, however, begins @ 11 for their menu.. If not able then, I try around 2-3, which is also a slower time..…

What type of oil is on the griddles? Safe for peanut allergies?

They provide fresh butter for the griddle and a cooking spray. We used the spray but didn't see what it had in it since we don't have allergies.

I tried the blueberry coffee cake and it was so good -- not overly sweet, super soft, and packed with blueberries. Easily one of the better coffee cakes I've had in a while. I also grabbed a cold brew, and it tasted amazing. Smooth, refreshing, and not bitter at all. Overall, a really lovely first visit. I'll definitely be going back.

I wasn't able to access my previous review of Cinnamon Tree, so I'm glad to leave a fresh one…read more We have loved Cinnamon Tree for well over a decade. The food is consistently excellent, the desserts are beautiful and delicious, and the balance of savory and sweet is one of the things they do best. From the patisserie case to the fully loaded crepes, our family has yet to be disappointed. That is saying something, because usually someone has a critique somewhere. Here, there truly is something for everyone, and we all leave happy. The portions are generous, which we appreciate. We almost always bring leftovers home, and that just means we get to enjoy it all over again later. The service is consistently friendly and helpful. The staff brings a youthful, upbeat energy that adds to the atmosphere. Each visit feels like stepping into a European-style patisserie, and that charm has kept us coming back year after year. With that said, I do want to share one small concern. They close at 3:00 p.m. We are big brunch people, but our schedule often leans toward late morning or early afternoon rather than first thing when they open. I understand there are likely good reasons for their hours, and I know many early birds benefit from them. Still, it can be disappointing. On three separate occasions, we have driven over looking forward to our favorites, only to find the doors already locked. We were not alone. On the most recent visit, three other cars pulled in and had to turn around as well. Even with that frustration, our overall experience with Cinnamon Tree remains overwhelmingly positive. It is a place we genuinely love and will continue to support, just hopefully a little earlier in the day next time.
