When I complained about the excessive heat and smells it produced, he "vented" it using the previous standing tank's exhaust. After nearly a week, we were still having problems so we started looking into it, only to discover he had installed an OUTDOOR unit! I turned to Yelp and found Josh Mintz plumbing, who I called first thing the next morning. Thankfully, he had an opening to come take a look a few hours later. Upon arrival, he IMMEDIATELY realized the danger we were in, and made arrangements to remove the improper unit right then. He and his crew replaced it with a wonderful, quiet, smell-free tankless water heater that same day! I am SO thankful for Josh & his crew--there's no telling what could have happened if the prior one was left in place (carbon monoxide, explosion, fire, etc). Whenever we called they were very prompt and even if parts had to be ordered they still repaired this ASAP. We moved again to a house and a fan motor went out of this 2002 3- ton unit. The day we called was the day it was looked over and in a few minutes we knew what was wrong. It was fixed the next day. This company is VERY fast on diagnosing the problem and repairs it promptly. When they installed our unit, however, they put the extremely old pump back in. He put in the new pump after we called him on it, but then later tried to tack on extra cost for other things. We refused to pay the extra cost, and now in the coldest part of the winter, we are very cold. He refuses to come out to fix the problem because we (fairly) refused to pay the extra. Having tried to get someone else to fix it, we have found that it will void our warranty if anyone else services it, since it's under a year old. My advice: Don't even think about using American Energy Guard for your air conditioning.
