If I could give zero stars I would. Airco did an 84 year old woman terrible. She had a warranty on her Lennox system and was told the compressor was out. We called on Sunday, Airco showed up Monday. Said they would order part. No communication/update until Wednesday when we called and asked about the part. We were told that there was a delay in getting the part. We asked for a supervisor to call, nothing. We called another company on Thursday. This company came out on Friday, they ordered the part and brought it out Saturday morning and installed it. Wow, a 2 day turn around. Airco left her high and dry for 5 days and would still be waiting if we had not called another company. And the total bill was cheaper with a service agreement thrown in since Airco were such jerks to her!!!!! Shame on you Airco!!!! read more

I'd leave 0 stars if I could. Ordered a hot water heater from Lowe's with installation. Airco was selected by Lowe's as the installer. Airco sent a "project manager" (Steiger Hart) to the residence to "inspect" the area where the water heater was going to be placed. The project manager informed the resident that the area was not up to code (LIES) and recommended purchasing several things to bring it up to code (emergency shutoff valve, hammer arrestors, expansion tank, safety drain pan, new combustion- pvc piping, and a gas drip leg). When I asked for an itemized price list, I was told their system packages everything together and he couldn't provide an itemized bill. The only service that receives an itemized bill is HVAC. RED FLAG!! The home was built in 2016 and according to the plumber we actually hired, EVERYTHING IS WITHIN CODE. Airco wanted to charge $1744 for install and code upgrades. Then proceeded to try to convince the resident to purchase a hot water heater from Airco because theirs are manufactured better . We paid a local plumber (small family owned business) $250 to install the hot water heater and replace the hoses. This company lacks integrity, clearly overcharges, and tries to upsell the customer. Expensive. $650 quoted for a part I later found on Amazon for $35. A 5-minute Youtube video showed me how to fix the issue, a simple replacement of a shower valve. Tools needed: screwdriver. But check out my idea: I'll open my own company and charge everyone $99 per visit and quote ridiculously high fees to scare them. So I'll collect my $99 and net $89 per client net of costs. If someone hires me, I'll just subcontract and still make a profit thanks to the high quote. In a couple of months, I'll be able to put my face on TV and get an AI receptionist. Service call was good. (Service date 5/14). They overcharged us for coolant and said they would have us refunded within 7-10 days. After a week, we called to check on our refund. You get an AI recording, then on to a booking agent. They give you false information. We asked for a service agent to call. They said they passed it along and Jay "the service manager" and would call me back, but he never did. The service managers seem to never be in office. Now two weeks later and still no refund! We scheduled Airco to come out. The day they were supposed to show up, I worked from home. When they called ahead of the apt, I was on a work call. When I called back, I got their AI service. Airco has gone to great lengths to make this seem like a real person but its just not quite right. Ultimately, the put me on hold and I ended having to hang up for a work call. My home office is about 8 feet away from the front door. I never heard the tech knock on the door. I dont think they did given that I am so close to that door and never left my chair. When I finally got a person to take the call, they were indifferent and cut me off by saying "do you want to reschedule" (as in, I dont want to hear about your issue). So, I called "One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning" and immediately got a human who scheduled service for the same day. Don't let Airco's constant barrage of commercials lure you in to believing that they are a good option. I should have checked their yelp ratings before I tried to use them. read more

I had them replace my A/C and furnace. They did stand by the work when I needed help. They showed up after I spent $10,000 and told me they would charge $286 to fix it. The technician did a great job, I even bought a membership. Paid with a check and life is good. A month later my check hadn't gone through the bank. I called Airco to find out why my check hadn't gone through, couldn't get anyone to talk to that could help. I kept calling back because no one would return my call. Then one day I got a call billing me for membership and work done. They didn't even acknowledge that I had called them to find out why my check hadn't been cashed! They acted like I was the bad guy for not paying them!! Finally we settled on me paying for service call only don't want a membership anymore. Where's my check they don't know!! Service man told them he got a check from me. I pay for service rendered but no longer want membership, done deal. Okay thought this was over then a week or so goes by I get a statement for even the membership. I still don't have this settled. I would never use this company again. You don't get office help after the service for sure. Beware! There office help will not call you back and when they do they don't help you. What a hassle! I still haven't talked to anyone! BEWARE! If zero stars were possible that's a better response. There are many other companies in the OKC market who offer similar services, choose any other company. We had the service contract that had two HVAC services per year. They were able to change filters and clean and check the equipment without issues. However, based on the last experience I can't trust anything they did. I called for an electrician on the weekend. We are supposed to be priority customers since we pay around $280 per year. I was disappointed to discover that they don't have electricians on call on the weekend. They scheduled an appointment for Monday morning. I got a text alert saying an electrical technician was on the way. I learned that electrical technician is code for an uneducated and inexperienced person. She and her helper poked around on our electrical panel until they caused a huge spark. This sent a spike of energy through our house. The sparked scared her and she said the panel Was too dangerous to work on and we needed a replacement panel. She said that she would send a quote and just left. Yes, left us, as in walked away. If the panel was this dangerous I consider it malpractice to just turn you back on a customer and leave them in a dangerous situation. The quote was received in about an hour for around $3,100. Since we were abandoned and frankly very nervous with her statement, I called an electrician. He looked at the panel and in seconds, and I mean that literally, determined that screws were missing from the neutral bus bar. He dug into his tool belt and screwed the bar down, fixing the problem. He was stunned to learn about our experience and shocked that an electrician would deem something dangerous and then just walk away. He wasn't surprised that Airco was using inexperienced workers since they save them money. He said that electricians shouldn't be scared of electricity. He said if something was that dangerous they should've turned off the electricity to the panel. We also had an OG&E worker come out the next day to check their equipment and neutral line as a double check. There is nothing wrong with their equipment. When we related the story to him, he was stunned. Airco was aware of what happened and they've never bothered to contact us. They are so oblivious that they emailed and then mailed me a renewal letter. I don't trust them to change a lightbulb. We learned that the electrical surge Airco workers caused created many problems in our house. Thus far we have spent over $1,800 dollars repairing and replacing transformers, LED light fixtures, surge protectors (one actually caught fire), UPS battery backups, and other things. This amount doesn't include an Apple desktop computer that stopped working a few days after the spike. Choose anyone else. They make nice commercials but that's about it. read more

Update Only - I received a call today from Ashley S. executive assistant for AirCo Service. She called to explain to me the internal process for the service persons concerning my complaint about a forged signature on a service invoice we received via email. I still feel that forging a signature on any document is inappropriate and asking the service person to sign in place of the customer to close out their service calls is inappropriate. I did offer an idea/solution to this problem while on the phone with her but in my humble opinion I am unsure if this process will really change but I certainly have hope that it will considering we have a 3 year service contract through CostCo with them. They installed 2 Humidifiers in our house, over 7k. They forgot to hook up the drain hoses on one of the units that allowed water damage, then charged $175 to come back and hook up the hose they did not connect the first time. Manager will not call us back. Would highly avoid. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I don't know why I didn't pay attention to the reviews before we hired them. Clearly, they picked a few good ones to put on their site. Here's our experience: We paid over $3,000 to have additional insulation and another vent installed in our attic. They left off an entire section and had to come back and finish. The vent was running nonstop even when it was in the 60s outside. Two techs came out and said that the thermostat is up higher and "two guys" need to come out with a ladder. It took a scheduled appointment and our time for two of their techs to say that it needs two techs with a ladder to come out and fix this. One of the techs said that the vent was set at 110° and that that's what it's normally set at. I asked him how he knew that if he can't reach it without a ladder and he showed me a picture on his phone showing 110° and said something on his phone can show that. Then we told him something was wrong with the thermostat then because it can't be 110° up there when it's 60° outside. The next two techs came out with a ladder and they said it was actually set at 85° (meaning the other tech lied to me) and they reset it and in the meantime with all of these techs up there they were messing up all the insulation we just had blown in. They did fix that and they did set the thermostat correctly but what was supposed to take one afternoon took four trips where we had to adjust our schedules to accommodate . I did speak to a manager and he offered me one free heating tuneup and then a free AC tuneup in the spring. They came out for the heating and did a diagnostic and tuneup and said everything was great. Barely 6 weeks later our heating system failed. We built this house so we have been in it since day one and our heater has never given us one problem. It could very well be a coincidence that this happened so soon after their diagnostic and tune up and it could be no fault of their own. But, given their history, it is suspicious. So they came out again and charged me the $99 diagnostic fee and told us it was going to cost $594 to fix, an unbelievable charge to fix a unit that was just inspected by them not six weeks prior. After they were here, they told me they would be back at 8:30 the next morning with the parts. At 8:25 that morning they called that they were going to not be here till after nine because " a meeting ran late ". So much for the customer coming first. We are not going to have them come out and look at our air conditioner unit in the spring for fear that we will have a $1,000 bill six weeks after that. This is the worst HVAC company I have ever dealt with. So, unless you have thousands of dollars to spend, and PTO time to take for incompetence and overcharging, please don't waste your time with this company. read more

Called out for air conditioning drainage issue. Got someone to show up that day...thought this is going great so far. He shows up and takes forever to come up with a plan but finally gets started doing something. Cleans out the drain so we can get off the water hose to the driveway solution. He puts us all back together and then states we now have a bad control panel! Umm...you came for drain issue not an actual AC problem!!! $713 control panel WTF??? Shady shady shady. We have had outstanding customer service and support with the heating, air conditioner and water heater but mixed results with the plumbing. We first had them to fix water faucets that had broke off under the sink at the turn off water point. They quickly repaired these and reset a toilet with a new wax ring for us, no problems. Now we asked them out because one of 3 outdoor faucets was slightly dripping. I told them this when I booked the appointment. They came and said 2 of the faucets needed replacement and quoted this ridiculous price saying part of the piping needed to be replaced. No we needed a new washer on the 1 that was dripping. He said it was a steady stream it was not. After a quick research on my phone I found how easy it is to replace. Then we had another toilet leaking at the bottom. They came and it took hours. They told my husband after putting the wax ring and replacing the bolts that it would not sit right because the tile was too thick. This is the original tile and it was never a problem before nor was it in the other two bathrooms. We had already had them replaced ( wax seals). One was still the original tile and the other the tile had been replaced during a remodel. They then at the end placed 2 wax rings and the flange but not with the a smaller size flange. They completed and charged us over $400. I was so angry they did not ask for permission to do this. Now they said we have to be careful with the amount of toilet paper which is flushed down the toilet because of using the wrong size of flange. I am planning a remodel of this bathroom and the tile will be changed. I would have rather waited and had that amount go to the remodel with the toilet maybe replaced but at least with the right flange. This was nothing but a ripoff of not doing the job correctly because you either didn't have the correct parts with you or you are not experienced enough. Either way this is not what I paid for. Also why does Airco charge $99 dollars to come give you a quote. The quote should be free. You either want the business or you don't. But I should have the choice to shop around for who I think can do the job correctly. DO NOT USE THEIR PLUMBING! read more

Placed a service call several weeks ago. They came out, checked things out and were to order parts. That's when the run around started. Never fixed the faucet outside. They changed my mom $550+ to show up and simply replace the gutts inside the toilet and left. Absolute scam of a business. We had someone come out and took my mom's dryer completely apart, clean and do some other small stuff and charged her $185. I would never allow these people to step foot on our property. This guy saw an 81 year old living in a nice home and took her to the cleaners. Sad. read more

New airconditioner and heater installed in September of 2023. They bent my air vent putting the heater in, ripped some old wires and left them hanging and my unit has broke down 3 times now. I have used Airco in Oklahoma City for both heating and A/C needs. I have a high efficiency heater that has its share of problems due to its placement in the attic (original installation not by Airco) and when temperatures get really cold in Oklahoma. Adding heat tape over a year ago was a good step forward, but other problems surfaced during the most recent cold spell. Johnny came out this past weekend when the heater stopped working, and was able to quickly diagnose the problem and resolve it. I appreciated his honest feedback on what caused the problem, and the extra time he provided to educate me. I also appreciated Airco's handling of the situation and taking responsibility where warranted. read more

We called at least 3 times on Thursday (3:30, 6:15, and 8:15) to confirm that we were still on the schedule and we're told yes each time. We finally got a call from a technician at 8:45 to let us know that there'd been a mix-up on their end and they would not be there that night and made minimal effort to come out the next day. The kicker is that we're pregnant, our due date IS TOMORROW. On August 10th Airco installed a Lennox air conditioner in my home. The following Sunday I realized that my thermostat was no longer working. Monday morning I contacted Rick Prock regarding my dilemma. Monday afternoon a tech was at my home. At this time, it was discovered that the coils in my furnace were leaking. Tuesday afternoon technicians were at my home repairing the furnace and installing a new thermostat. I want to thank Rick for all his help. I have worked with him four times now. So I needed a new hot water tank. I went to Lowes to see what they had and they offer 'installation' - which just leads to an interaction with Airco. The rep. flat out lied to me telling me they would have to replace the exhaust vent all the way to the ceiling because it was 'single wall' pipe. The vent pipe was already double-walled. Their $2,900 estimate for an installed new hot water tank was absurd. I didn't want to install one myself (I'm 60), but those prices were highway robbery. I managed to buy a tank from Lowes (with a 12 year warranty), brought it home, and installed it for WELL under $1,000 total. The wife is really happy we didn't have to shell-out $2,900 for the job. This company is Horrible!!! Do not hire them!! My neighbor behind me needed work done on a pipe. I woke up finding airco taking down my fence and digging in my yard. They then told me they needed to attach his pipe to the main. Well, they proceeded to dig up 10 feet of dirt and place that mound in the middle of my yard. Then it rained for days. When they came to cover the whole their back hoe got stuck and the guy ended up digging up 1/3 of my yard. It's almost to my patio. Now I have a huge low area collecting rain on the sod I had to fight them for. They are refusing to level the area and re Sod. I shouldn't have to be out any money. I called late Saturday afternoon with a furnace problem and Duane was at my house early Sunday morning to fix the problem. The timing was perfect as we are expecting an Arctic cold front to move in tonight. Duane was amazing, very professional, knowledgeable and thorough assessing the problem. He took the time to explain how our furnace worked, as it is 33 years old and no longer available. He even explained what caused the problem and showed me how to fix it myself if it happens again. At no time did he even mention buying a new unit. I was also pleased he was wearing a mask and followed Covid-19 precautions. I will definitely call them again and request Duane. Airco tried to repair my air conditioning unit across three different visits to my house and at a cost of nearly $1,200. I was still left with no A/C for a week. Another company came out and correctly fixed it in an hour for $300. Airco also charged me almost $200/piece for fuses that evidently cost $15. The other company also had to correct some parts that were incorrectly installed. I can't see that they're worth being hired by anyone with A/C problems. read more

First the good. The people a friendly and reasonably responsive. But the reason I am giving them a 2 is because of the costs. I have an older home and had Airco replace the central heating and a/c units. I purchased a top of the line Lenox for $16,000. In the first 5 years I've had to have them out multiple times. I signed up for the maintenance plan at $245/year. I was told that if I did that the parts and labor are covered under warranty. I still have to pay $70 for each trip even if it is covered by warranty. If it's not warranty then it $199 plus. Most recently they're having to replace the cooling coil because of a leak. The part is covered under warranty, however, I have to pay nearly $1000 for the Freon. I'm not sure if Lenox has just gone down hill or what. But I definitely do not recommend getting one. Our furnace stopped working and we called Airco for help. Repairman said that the control board was bad and that it would need to be replaced. He then spent most of his time trying to convince me to replace the whole system, rather than fixing it. Our system isn't new, but it isn't exactly old and falling apart, either. We've had very few issues with it but he didn't want to hear this at all. Despite my repeatedly stating that this was the only major problem we've had and finally stating that a new system was just not going to be in our budget for at least a few more years, he continued to fearmonger that it was probably not just the control board and that we really need to just replace the whole system. What he based this on, I have no idea. We agreed to just do the control board replacement and were given a quote of over $600. The reason for this price, we were told, was the high cost of the part. I did a quick search on my own and found a brand new control board for $50 on Amazon from a 5-star marketplace seller. I then declined service from Airco, paid for the estimate and resolved to fix the furnace myself. We ended up installing the part ourselves in a little under 30 minutes and now the system is working perfectly, with no other issues at all. Total cost - $79 for the diagnosis, $50 for the part, 30 minutes of effort. Unbelievable that anyone would think it acceptable to charge over $600 for that service. I realize the cost of labor is high, but come on! Never, ever, ever calling this company again. They are far more interested in selling new systems than in servicing older ones. For the record - our heating system is 16 years old and is a model that typically lasts 20-30 years, with proper maintenance, which ours gets. Update: Austin from AirCo called me after seeing this review to attempt to harass me into taking this review down. He was very condescending and would not address the issue of the inflated repair estimate, just deflected over and over again to the supposed poor condition of the unit. read more

They came out within the agreed upon timeframe. Javier the representative was very nice. But the quote was incredibly expensive. 1/3 more expensive than 2 other quotes. It was hard to tell where the added cost came from because the quote just listed what was required and did not have itemized pricing. Which felt very unethical with the substantially higher cost. All other quotes from other companies were detailed with itemized costs. And after completion actually charged me even less because they finished faster than quoted. Get more than one quote always. They also charge $99 for a quote. No one else did that. read more

We purchased two systems from this company in 2013. We have had over 15 emergency service calls for one of the systems not working and the issues have never been remedied. Despite multiple attempts to discuss solutions, there is no effort from the ownership or management to remedy the situation. We spent a great deal of money on this faulty unit and continue to purchase an expensive maintenance program each year to prevent voiding the warranty. I would never want anyone to experience the issues we have had. We have lost time out of work while they work on the system. We have also missed the benefit of energy savings due to its frequent breaking/leaking and running continuously, as well as the headache of frequent maintenance calls despite being a new unit. read more

A technician called within 15 minutes, asked about details and then walked me through some troubleshooting steps that brought the unit back up. He stayed with me on the phone until we saw the results and called back the next morning to make sure that I didn't still have the problem.
