I called at 8:00 a.m. in mid May after discovering our A/C had stopped working overnight. I was…read moretold a technician would arrive sometime before 6:00 p.m., but to our surprise he arrived before noon. The service technician, Jammy, was knowledgeable, quickly diagnosed the issue, replaced the faulty part, and had our system running again in less than 45 minutes. We paid the quoted amount (which seemed a little high but everything is these days) and were very pleased with both the service and having cold air again. Unfortunately, the billing experience afterward was confusing and extremely frustrating. Later that afternoon, I received an invoice via email showing a balance that was $120 less than what we had already paid. When my husband called to ask about the discrepancy, he was told we were OVERcharged that morning and that they would send the tech back by to exchange our original check for a new one reflecting the lower amount. The technician never returned to exchange the checks, and two days later our original check was cashed. We called again and was told we would be issued a refund that would be mailed to us (that we never received). The next week we began receiving emails and text messages stating that we owed an additional $120. After MULTIPLE phone calls trying to sort things out and MULTIPLE explanations for all of the discrepancies, I finally spoke with the head of accounts receivable. I was then told that the original invoice had actually UNDERcharged us by approximately 50%, and that the company had decided not to pursue the additional amount because of all the confusion surrounding the billing. The repair itself was excellent, and Jammy provided prompt, professional service. However, the billing process was disorganized and irritating and because of that, we probably will not use again.

We paid $2280 out of pocket ahead of time. Affordable had to order the parts so we waited for the parts to come in. Affordable came out and supposedly fixed the issue. The air worked for 2 weeks until the anti freeze ran out which they charged us for too. We got a 2nd opinion and we were told affordable installed used parts and we had to get a whole new unit. We feel like we were taken advantage of. We reached out to Ray at Affordabe to get our money back and he is claiming that he did not install used parts and that we need a whole new unit and that affordable can do it for 10k. He also blamed the issuue on coils being completely clogged with insects and debris which he should have pointed out when he first diagnosed the issue. Which our 2nd opinion company said it was nonsense.

The problem had been completely misdiagnosed by the first company assigned causing me to be without air conditioning and my house was between 91 and 93° for over two weeks. Ray was able to diagnose the problem within minutes and had The repair complete within about 30 minutes. I found Ray to be extremely knowledgeable, very professional & pleasant to work with. Their office staff is equally pleasant & went above and beyond in working with my home warranty company.. This is the second time I have used this company and I'm very pleased With the entire experience and it feels good to say thank you for a job well done.

Absolutely one of the most absent-minded, boneheaded, obvious mistakes you could make. I only noticed due to the smell of burning metal and smoke. This installation could of burned my house down, god forbid with my kids inside. Used this contractor to come and diagnose my issue. They had to return multiple times over the course of a few days to finally replace the condenser in my outdoor AC unit. The condenser they installed was done improperly, causing the connections/fittings to not fit properly. This caused my AC unit to turn into a block of ice in the middle of hot Texas weather. The fittings/connections from the condenser to the air handler was the wrong type, so they had to come back again. -- An analogy would be, if this was a mechanic shop and they were working on a Ford Truck, yet the manufacturer sent in a Volkswagen engine, rather than talking to the manufacturer to get the correct part sent, they just forcefully installed the Volkswagen engine into a different make/model of a car just to get the job done. This approached ended up causing more problems, money, and time wasted for all parties involved. A little due diligence can go a long way. When they returned, they told me the service visit was free of charge as it was their fault. Upon completing their visit, they had me pay $300 for the visit, even though they EXPLICITLY told me that it was a free service/diagnostic visit since the problem was never originally fixed, AND it was their fault. Normally, before any work gets done, the business tells you about the costs involved and has you sign off on it before they begin the work. This was not the case. They shocked me with a $300 bill that i had to retroactively get removed. More effort and time wasted on my end. This still did not fix the issue. After paying $1500 to Precision Comfort Home Services, my issue was still not resolved. After calling them back and explaining the situation, they then discovered the "real" problem about it being a leak within some piping. That would of been great to know prior to spending hours of my time and not to mention a great deal of money ($1500). When i asked what it would cost to actually fix my REAL PROBLEM, they quoted me again. I responded that I would shop around for a cheaper price, and found many other businesses willing to do the work for 15-25% less of what they quoted me. I asked if they could match the quote and was told "good luck". i am of the personal opinion that this is not how customer service should be handled. Mistakes happen, of course. But when it comes to my HOME and THOUSDANDS of dollars, I want to make sure i am giving my money to people who actually give a shit. Then, the audacity of the owner to text a customer passive aggressive threats at 11:00pm at night because he doesn't agree with a google review. Bad reviews happen from bad jobs. This is one of them. Get used to it and stop harassing customers late at night. Ryan Mudd the technician was wonderful and polite. I can't say the same for the rest of the team. I do not recommend this company at all. Edit: the screen shots maybe out of order but just look at the timestamps and it will tell you the whole story.

Fri July, 8 2022...My (senior) mother called Jason (owner) for a downed HVAC. Jason arrives…read morepromptly and does 'some' testing and diagnoses the issue to a bad panel. $650 later and a panel is installed...still no service. He calls customer service and is unsuccessful. Instead or furthering his testing...he leaves and says he'll return on Monday. **He did not leave our old panel and it's a 105 degrees over the weekend.** We call another local vendor at 10pm that night and they come out and diagnose the issue to a capacitor. Capacitor is installed and unit functions properly. The tech onsite said it was never the panel. I called Jason this morning to discuss returning the new panel and him returning our old...since the issue wasn't the panel to begin with. Convo started off pleasant and went south REAL quick. Jason became irate blaming customer service (for the HVAC) and that he didn't do a 'fake' job. He had no reasons as to why he did not test the capacitor or why he left a senior citizen without a solution after a $650 bill. I asked on multiple occasions how we can make it right for both parties and he continued to scream/yell and eventually hung up. DO NOT USE THIS DUDE!!!
