This company does not honor its warranty. in the summer I purchased two brand new AC units from them. A couple of months later, I realized that they had not connected the AC to the existing humidifiers, as they were supposed to. I called several times and requested for service. But once they realized that the job was still under warranty, they never showed up. When I called them, they rudely hung up on me. checking. Having spent almost 25 K on this job and receiving a 10-year warranty, they shamelessly did not warrant their work for six months. This is how honorable this company is. Cheaters and liers like this should not be in business anywhere. To be fair, during the process of selling me the job and even during installation, they were extremely nice and cooperative. But once they were paid, the attitude changed. I actually had to call another service company to complete the job at a cost of $960.00. read more

My experience was incredible from my first phone call to job completion. My boiler would not come on. Jenna said she would work me in and called me twice to give me updates. The tech was ultimately unable to make it the first day because they got delayed at another job and so Jenna called to find out if someone could come the following morning. Martin arrived early and quickly diagnosed the problem and did an initial repair, a broken wire Then when the boiler fired up, the Aquastat made a funny noise so he checked to make certain that it was firing the circulating pump. It was not. He went through additional diagnostics and the Aquastat was not working. He found a compatible unit, (the unit on my boiler was no longer made), he went to the parts store, got it and installed it. Now I have heat. What impressed me was Jenna's attention to customer service and follow-up and Martin's knowledge base and thoroughness. The service is outstanding! Our ac compressor quit working. I checked everything I could and then we knew we had to call for repair. Martin came out the next morning after our call the eve before. He diagnosed the issue within a few minutes. It was a failed flux capacitor! LOL, he got the repair made in just a few more minutes and we were up and cooling! Preface: I did not have any work done by Aire Serv, my interactions never got that far. So I can not comment on the quality of their work, only the service I received. We just had a newborn and we figured it was probably time to have AC added to our home. I called to receive an estimate for installation. I spoke to a very polite woman in the office who asked for my name and number and said she would have someone call me back once they returned to the office from working in the field. 7 days later. I have received no call back. I managed to acquire a phone number for one of their employees directly. Called him. He was out the very next day to look at the situation at our home. Said he would email me an estimate the following day (Friday), if not, then on Monday after the weekend. 8 days later. I have received no estimate. Called the office again. Once again spoke with a very polite woman, who then informed me that the man who came to our home had left on vacation the day previous (7 days after visiting our home). He had not left an estimate on my account in their system. She said she would contact him and either have him contact me or she would call me back. 5 days later. No call back. At this point 3 weeks of my time, during the hottest point of the summer, has been wasted. I wanted to give this company a chance because of a recommendation from a family member who knows the owner, however, I am not going to beg a company to take my money. 2 stars because the two employees I dealt with were very nice and were polite, even though their follow up was non-existent. read more

ATTENTION-Air Serv 'Owner' I am in the process of coordinating with Better Business Bureau, WA.Attorney General's Office, Spokesman-Review, ETC, to advise them of your 'scam' regarding the 'need' for customers to replace their existing thermostat after having your company install a new furnace. Your sales rep-Darrel, who showed up minutes before the two install men were finishing, and had a great sales pitch on why I needed a new thermostat, was engaging in misrepresenting the 'need' to replace the existing thermostat in order to get another $650-700 on top of the $6,000 for the new gas furnace! There was absolutely no reason my existing 'Honeywell' thermostat needed to be replaced, and if replaced with the same type that did not contain 'mercury' the cost would have been no more than $150-200! Darrel's pitch that I needed the 'programable' rectangular type thermostat was an outright lie! I could have and should have been told I could keep the existing thermostat I had OR -if I wanted a new one, he could install the same type of thermostat or opt for the other type 'programable' - which people with more than one house -or do a lot of traveling - can adjust the heat from other houses or even different parts of USA. People who don't want to deal with 'programing' the thermostat can opt to keep their old one (even if it has mercury) or have a new 'round' style Honeywell thermostat installed. The fact he had no interest in explaining anything but instead lied to me in effort to obtain additional money for Air Serv is pure dishonesty and should result in his firing! He could not be bothered to explain how to fully operate this programable type of thermostat -due his hurry to get my check and leave. EVen when i called back to your building to request someone else come back to fully explain how to operate this new type of thermostat - he was rude to me - and made me angry - and I then demanded someone else-preferably Martin -one of the better and more honest employees you have - come up to help me master using this programable type. He did return the following week - and although I took some notes to be able to remember his instructions - I still wound up having problems in a steady flow of heat during the night. Even after I thought I'd hit the right button, I'd wake up in middle of night and the house was COLD! I would prefer a FULL refund of what I paid for your programable thermostat, which I sent to your office with a polite letter - which of course was ignored, as was my follow-up call to speak to the actual 'owner' of this company. NO ONE there wants to give their name as the owner -which indicates to me what a scam operation is going on to garner additional money from your customers. read more

Extraordinary disappointment. Technically, their professional technicians can assess and provide plenty of potential options. However, they cannot get their ideas into an actual proposal. I started with Aireserve on 18 June. I paid $237 for a formal assessment for courses of action. As of 10 July, nothing heard except a receipt. I called weekly and was told "Bobby sent you an email." YES, someone sent a detailed invoice of what they did. They never offered formal solutions. Not one document denoting a proposal of ANY kind. One receptionist is very engaging and helpful. Of course nothing changes the fact I have nothing but a receipt from being here twice. One receptionist wants to explain why it is not her responsibility to deliver a proposal NOR find someone to provide a feedback. I spoke with her twice. That was more than enough to let me know AireServe had no interest and no intention to take any action until they might have time in the autumn or winter. The sheer rudeness and attitude of that one alternative receptionist killed my interest in attempting to deal any longer as MY time is as important and administrative updates never were forthcoming. BTW, if a person works answering the phone to take administrative actions - the polite title I use is "receptionist"... however, this lady told me loud and clear TWICE "I am not a receptionist"Really? She had the nerve to tell me she "could FIX the problem!" When I asked what exactly IS the problem and asked HOW are you going to fix an absent assessment proposal ?" She referred me to the receipt email again. She insisted Bobby? telling me what work he did WAS their proposal! Arrogant and unaffected is not what customers should expect when I called and texted numerous times with no updates or estimated timeline proposed. The technicians were so impressive that I had two business cards to give them once I saw the proposal and pricing. I bragged about AireServe but I would have loss credibility if I had gave AireServe business to elderly couples with HVAC heating concerns. Now I just tell them "it fell through as administratively AireServe cannot get a proposal nor provide any updates nor feedback...so you cannot count on the project getting done before winter!" Wasted a month of my time and now I start over. Honestly, they must be busy reflecting an exceptional economy in Spokane. All three other HVAC companies I originally asked about project completion said "3-4 months as we are backed up for work." Great. For Spokane, contractors are booked months in advance and really aren't interested in new work until THEY have opportunity to fit it into THEIR routine schedules. Move on from AireServe unless you can schedule 4-6 months at their convenience AND expect one very kind professional receptionist/scheduler and one bitter, entitled receptionist to take a message with nothing forthcoming as a proposal. read more

It always seems something fails at the worst time. Like a/c in your house on one of the hottest days of the year. And it always seems all the people who can fix the problem are full scheduled until the next day, making it that much worse. Then there is Aire Serv. They told me they were full scheduled but would try to get me on their list if their techs got ahead. An hour later they called back letting me know someone was on the way. The tech quickly diagnosed the problem, and fixed it quickly. Then she went through all the things I could do to prevent an issue like this in the future, and also tips on prolonging the life of my a/c unit even more. The knowledge, professionalism, and extra help the tech gave just really impressed me. Hopefully, this never happens again. But if it does I know exactly who to call. read more

Was able to fix my hydronic system on the first try when others had failed. Also the were able to get me on the schedule with in a week!

First time using this business. I emailed to get a non-emergency appointment on Wed, got one for Friday. I was impressed by the professionalism and ease of my technician. Showed me everything that he was doing, gave tips for homeowner maintenance, and cleaned up when he was finished. My A/C condenser was leaking water through my furnace. Turned out to be a blockage in the condensation line. I also had the technician remove an old humidifier that was installed in my furnace, but had never been operational when I bought the home. After blocking the clog, updating the connection for my drip line, removing the humidifier, blocking off the holes from the humidifier and giving some great insight into my furnace the bill was very inexpensive. Paid less than $300 to repair when I was worried I would need a whole new A/C condenser. I am having this company price out an entire filtration system replacement now (since my circa 2003 furnace has a terrible electric ozone style cleaner, and no traditional filters). Based upon my experience with them, I highly recommend this company. As a realtor, I will recommended them to my clients as well. read more

We have been having many days of extreme heat in Spokane. 90- 14 degrees. The two 40 amp breakers for my A/C would trip 3-4 times each day during the hottest part of the day. I tried to troubleshoot it myself, but after several tries, I decided to call Aire Serv. They had done some maintenance work for us several years ago, and I had been very impressed with how thorough they were. The receptionist told me they could come out the very next day! Unbelievable! Martin showed up, and immediately checked out the outside unit. He spent quite a bit of time testing all of the components, and determined the unit was in very good working order. He then said I should have the breakers checked out. I took the breakers to an electrical supply company, and they verified that one of the two connected breakers was no good. I bought two breakers for a total of 25 dollars. My A/C is working perfectly now. Thank you so much Martin, and thank you Aire Serv. You are the only HVAC company I will ever call, and I will tell everyone I know how great you are! read more

I have never left a negative review of any company prior to my experience today with Air Serv. They have come to our home now on three different occasions and the first two times they replaced the control board. The second time they came out which was one month ago it took 8 hours for the to determine it was the same issues they had fixed a couple months earlier. Today it was having similar issues and the tech Robert told us it was not the control board but the blower that needed replaced and that would cost $1200 but he would recommend a whole new unit. Robert was the tech who came out in February and was still training and had to have the manager (Darryl) come out twice because he admittedly said he did not know what was wrong as he was still new. We contacted another heating service today and they stated it was definitely not the blower and in fact it was the control board again. They replaced the part and got it working within 2 hours. When I contacted Air Serv to tell them of the situation Darryl was very rude and said they could not do anything as we didn't use them to fix it. I would not recommend this company, Spokane Plumbing and heating was more competent and honest- we will not be going back. read more

I have to go out of my way to let Spokane know how happy I am with the service I received from this company. After MULTIPLE other local well known companies came out and gave me song and dance about how "the best" route would be just to replace everything I thought I would have to save and just replace it all, after looking at those companies reviews I found that what I was told was almost word for word what was being told to other families and realized I was being pressured to buy buy buy and my best interests weren't being taken into consideration. I had an independent person have a look at my a/c unit and service it for the summer and he gave it a clean bill of health and to my surprise a few months later it stopped working so we had to call someone and we tried this place, technician Martin came out and informed us a wire had come undone most likely by our pets and reconnected the wire and within 5 minutes our a/c was back up and running, we went out on a limb and asked him to look at our furnace ready to hear bad news and after another 5 minutes he had that fixed also!!! It was a clogged something or other and total charge for everything was only $89!!!!!! We had spent all winter using electric heaters afraid to use or furnace for fear or more damage and didn't have the thousands of dollars to replace it and this wonderful HONEST man solved it all with 10 minutes! My whole family thanks you and will recommend you to anyone anytime! read more

Outstanding experience with Aire Serv. Had a boiler that was having issues with water coming out of the overflow and not circulating water. Had several companies come out to look at it (3 of the more well know ones) and all of them except Aire Serv wanted to replace the whole unit. The control board would not control the pump and could not be replace because the company that made the boiler no longer makes parts for it as they have done away with the side of there company that does residential boilers. Aire Serv was able to bypass the board and control the pump with hardware they installed. Something no other company offered. On top of that, they came back two times after the fact to fix issues that presented themselves after the fact and didn't charge me any more labor. All in all the service cost me under $1000 where I was getting quotes for a whole new system for 8-10 times that. read more

We know our furnace will need to be replaced and he was upfront about giving us information and explaining to us our options without pressuring us. From the moment I contacted them I had nothing but amazing service. Daryl went ABOVE and beyond to ensure I got the best service ever!! I had a gas line plumbed for my new range. I received quotes from other places and they were unsure that they could even complete the work. Daryl had the experience to know exactly how to complete the job and have it meet codes and pass inspection. Chris and Martin did the install and were extremely professional. Booties on their shoes, they cleaned up after themselves, and were great at communicating when a hiccup came about. We all problem solved together and reached an agreement on how to proceed. We initially had Air Serv complete a condensing hot water heater installation that was sold by Home Depot. The receptionist and the installation crew were all very friendly but unfortunately the installation was way beyond the scope of this business' qualifications and it failed inspection on several different points. After speaking with the inspector it was quite obvious that the staff never completed their due diligence and even opened the instruction manual as well as breaking codes that should be obvious to anyone seasoned in this business (installing an air intake right next to a dryer vent). That could be considered an honest mistake but rather than fix things the owner was extremely arrogant and refused to fix things correctly and took forever to get back to us (think months not days which he responded to say he was having personal problems). He wanted to leave a hole in our siding and then move the duct work to a place that still would not meet code (It was obvious that he still hadn't taken the time to read the manual regarding the manufacturers specifications even after sending it to them). In speaking with my wife he mentioned flippantly that he had an attorney on retainer and this would just end up being a bad review (about the only thing he was correct with) and we should not have chosen this water heater although Air Serv had obviously said they were capable of doing the work. We will have to pay an alternate contractor to fix their poor work and mistakes. In summary I would strongly avoid this company unless you have a simple straightforward project. The reviews are often skewed by a strong solicitation from clients vs. a normal organic review process. There are many better well managed ethical businesses than Air Serv and we recommend you look elsewhere. read more

I used Aire Serv this week to fix the A/C in one of my businesses. It was a bit of an "emergency" and Diane really showed concern for my situation and did a great job getting a tech out to the property in between their scheduled appointments (given their great service, it's no surprise they would be booked weeks in advance,) to begin the repair process. In our case, the problem was the electrical box. The gentleman who came out, Martin, quickly saw the problem and within 5-10 mins advised that I needed an electrician before he could proceed. I asked since he was only there a few minutes and hadn't actually done any work if they would charge me again when they would come back out after the electricity was repaired, but he wasn't sure. After the electrical work was repaired, I called Aire Serv and they sent Martin back out to check everything out. And luckily it was the electricity that was causing the issue. Martin spent about an hour checking out the system and changed the air filter. And sure to their word, once Martin received approval from John, (who I spoke with on the phone and could not have been nicer), I was NOT charged for a 2nd call. I only had to pay for the new filter. It's rare to find an honest company these days, but I now have proof this is an honest and ethical business. I can understand why they have so many 5 star reviews... they truly deserve them. read more

We have had great success with Aire Serv of Spokane. They took care of servicing our heat pump for our AC at our previous home and did an outstanding job in getting it to function extremely well and were very thorough in their testing and workmanship. They were also very professional and friendly. We had them out again for a completely different ducting issue we needed taken care of, and they were once again very courteous and professional, and did a very nice job venting new ducting out through the roof. Very reasonable price for all of the work they did! We will have them back at our new place when needed, and have already referred several friends, family and neighbors to them! read more

Aire Serv was a bit sloppy in fall 2014 with our furnace and ac install. They had a great quality product at a great price (my husband researched and got quotes from tons of places) but their installation and execution was not five star worthy. Issues with cleanliness and follow through when they removed our old gas tank as well as replacing our duct covers. We brought these issues to their attention and they responded but it was annoying to have to manage them like that. The installation also dragged on and on and I just wanted them to be out of my house by the end. I felt concerned about the quality of the work because of the lack of professionalism from some staff. All in all-it has all worked well except had some major issues with our humidifier being properly connected as well...and I question the installation team on their attention to detail because the issues werent discovered until a year later. All in all, I wouldn't choose them again if I had to due to general pickiness on my part. I do acknowledge we would have had to spend more because they had a great product at a great price. read more

I have been a customer with Aire Serv for the better part of a year, twice for service calls and once to fix a non-working furnace. Today I called on them once again because my furnace stopped working last night. Again, they were prompt to reply, showing up later in the morning. Upon inspection it was determined that the inducer blower motor had gone bad and needed to be replaced. I was quoted over $400 for the job. I was dismayed at this because I just spent $700 with them a few months ago to replace a faulty gas valve. Even though it is the dead of winter, snowing four straight days, and I have an infant daughter at home, I decided to look around first. I was able to find a brand new motor from BL Best for a total of $150 and upon getting it home it took me literally 5 minutes to install. I am sorry to say that I feel like my situation was taken advantage of. For a job that only required 5 minutes labor from a novice as myself, I was going to be gouged $250 in overhead. As such I got away with $150 for the part and $82 from Aire Serv for the service call. I did call Aire Serv earlier to give them the courtesy of letting them know I would be leaving this email and was told, pretty much, that they are a business and need to make money. And I'm happy to say the furnace is now working great. read more

It was a delight working with Aire Serv. The team was friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again or refer them to someone in the future. Not only did they install my furnace but came back out a few months later and replaced my filter. The two other companies I called had an issue with going in the cellar and didn't want to touch the old furnace. One of the company's said he fix it but didn't know if it would last and charged me 160.00. The furnace stopped working before he got down the road. He was very rude , not friendly at all and when I called there office to tell them what happened they were just as rude. So it was a breath of fresh air to find Aire Serv. I will always deal with there friendly knowledgeable staff. When my furnace went out it was winter and very cold so they moved my install date up because I had no working furnace.
