I can't tell you the number of times I have walked in with a poorly explained question, or half of a broken piece of something, and they've immediately identified what I needed, showed me where to find it, and explained to me the best way to fix something. For your average 90's kid who is maybe not the best a home repairs, Quality Hardware is constantly the lifesaver I need them to be on small home repairs! We were ok with that, we've dealt with worst scenarios. July 10th came a third pary delivery service brought it outand guess what, it want the one we picked out and paid for. So since it was delivered by a third party it had to stay at our home. My husband was going back and forth on the phone with them, so frustrating. Then Lowes said that we had to pay another $200 because we were charged for the wrong refrigerator, huh, we refused to pay an "extra" anything and asked for our money back, then said we were going to home depot. It wasnt our fault what the lady charged us... she showed us the refrigerator in the book, we picked out the one we wanted, then paid. So whats the problem. Lowes finally told us to keep that one, use it, until ours arrive. We waited another week then the third party service brought out the other refrigerator befroe my husband allowed them to bring it in the house he saw a huge dent on the side and told them to take it back. Hubby called Lowes again told them what happened a week later we finally get our refrigerator yesterday Thursday August 1st, SMH. Then cleaned up the mess their third party service left. I bought 4 bags, paid for them. Afterwards, I was told they had topsoil and it would not get it out for another day. I believe they just wanted I leave. I had to suggest my money be returned since I was leaving without items I paid for. I returned next day, explained I was told soil would be available just to come back. The process stole my time previous day, 40 minutes in driving and 30 minutes in waiting for topsoil that would never be brought out for pick up I prepaid for. The second cashier told me what happened day before was not anything she could do anything about. I was not asking her to correct that problem, but her attitude was rude as if she did not want to help me. I was speaking. She looked away, said she could not help me, no one was there to lift topsoil. Finally, she calls someone, and he arrives and places tiny bags, three of topsoil. It should have been regular size, but they were wrong size, so small I could have lifted them. I prepaid again, got the wrong size. He raced off not alowiing me to speak. I had with me someone in my care and was trying to manage this situation.Lowe's took payment for a product that did not match what was received and subjected me to rudeness beyond what anyone might imagine. I had not uttered a word initially as I approached cashier/clerk, was given the cold shoulder. Disregard of my time is outrageous. I should send Lowe's a bill for having to drive there again and wasting my time and being subjected to blatant disregard. To the ckerk the second time I arrived: Who do you think you are? You believe you can regard paying customers with disdain, recklessness. I built one house, renovated an office and repaired another house, I kept another funding Lowe's with my shopping there for supplies. If you fire just one, fire this person and retrain the others in garden shop. Holding them accountable, particularly this woman who presents herself as a short masculine inhibited misfit who kept looking away and pretending my questions were insignificant. Purchases were nearly daily with large orders. I went to Lowe's in Salisbury for topsoil and was treated with such disdain. The summer before last I was there for paint, brushes, drop clothes, caulk. it was not so bad as this last Thursday and Friday. Those errands took far less time even with much to carry. What was the difference? I asked for help. So if you have a question or need help, you are not going to receive the basic help other than adding up your bill and if you are wading through their rudeness you may not catch mistakes until you get home that they placed in your trunk the pea size item instead of what you expected. I do not want to drive over there again and exchange or show them. They will waste more fuel and time. The best thing to do is to never waste your time driving there or shopping there. Time is money. The stress of dealing with employees who behave like criminals is not worth the doctor bill you will incur from the stress of subjecting yourself to this.
