Scott came out to survey matters and recommended a location for the tank; he took photos of the existing water heater and plumbing. We received a quote in about a week. We went down to their office and met with Kevin the branch manager who showed us the two brands they sell and based on his recommendation we went with Navien. Holcon's team took care of everything from the permit application with our town to installing the tank and running the gas line, to removing the existing tank and installing the new Navien. Kevin and James did the installation and they were extremely hard workers. The installation which included reworking the water lines was very professional. This was an excellent turnkey project for us. Based on Navien's calculations we expect to save about $6,000 versus the electric heater over the 15 yrs that this unit is under warranty!

I always do better than regular retail rates. You can still arrange with an oil provider to service your furnace just as you normally would. All the details are on their site or are available by calling them. There's a very low fee to sign up for the oil co-op and none right now for the new electric co-op. I just signed up for their new electric co-op service, which promises savings of five to 20 percent over "standard offer" electric rates. I got my first bill with the new provider and it was almost 17% lower than my bill from last month - and I even used an extra kilowatt hour of electricity this month. Again, it's very easy and there's no long term commitment or fee to switch. Your bill still comes from your regular electric company. Check these guys out!

I chose CT Valley Oil because it's 3 miles from my house. I pre paid for 275 gallons and also pre paid to have the unit primed and started. I received an email at 6:05 am the next morning that they would deliver that day. I waited all day. I called the company 3 times during the day and they told me they didn't know what time the delivery would be. Finally at 3:45 (the office closes at 4) I called a 4th time and was told that the delivery may be after 5pm. At 4:05 I got a call from the company saying the oil had already been delivered. I asked why they didn't come in to restart the oil tank she said she would send someone out to do that. Another 30 minuets before he showed up. When I voiced my concern to the technician he said "not my problem". When I called the company the following day they made me feel like I was lucky I didn't have to pay the after hours fee for the priming and restarting. I will never use this company again!

I waited the hour with nothing still so I called to tell them forget it. I finally spoke with the tech who told me for 10 gallons it would be $170. Obviously not going to pay $17 a gallon for oil, but thanks for making me wait an hour for your ridiculous price. Glad I kept the baby in the cold house for information that could have been relayed on the first call by the on call service. Will never do business with this awful company.
