Our return to KEF was very late, driver didn't put anyones luggage in back, so passengers were crammed in with wet luggage. Not good. But left my shoulder bag on the bus and they helped me get it back between getting off the bus and checking in for my flight so all in all. no complaints. read more

I got a call back from Darryl and understood that his wife is in the hospital; therefore, they have been slow in responding to messages. He confirmed our pickup this coming Saturday, May 18th. We have been using them with excellent service in the past couple of years so hope things continue to be this way. Will be posting a new update after Saturday pickup. I scheduled an airport round trip online . Darryl called to confirm and informed me that the biggest vehicle they had was a mini van . I then e mailed and cancelled because there simply was not enough ( comfortable ) room for our whole group and luggage . Darryl called me again , confirmed that I wanted to cancel verbally, and told me that I would receive an e mail confirmation confirming the cancellation that day. Instead , my credit card was charged for the round trip. I have called many times , no answer, no return call. I have e mailed , no response. Worst service on pick up. Was supposed to get a courtesy call 24 hours in advance. Was supposed to get a call 15 minutes from pick up. No call! Called their office to leave a message for dispatch to locate our driver. Still no call. Called again demanding a call or my money back. Not a credit. Drive finally calls after I call Uber. Now I have to cancel Uber driver. I tell the driver to pick us up at the airport. Be there in 7 minutes. 7 minutes pass, he calls and says I'm at the baseball field? I'm at the Airport! Ok, be there in 5 minutes. He's already 45 minutes late. Will never recommend or use again. Uber is the way to go. read more

I have been using Airport Direct for years and have been very pleased with their service. I live out of state, and whenever I book a flight for my mother, I also make a reservation with Airport Direct. They are always on time, courteous and helpful, and always take mom's luggage to/from the front door. According to mom, they have been good drivers, and she is always happy to have them transport her back and forth. I have also found their prices to be the best, and would definitely recommend them. read more

Sorry, I can't give zero stars. My partner and I paid for a private roundtrip ride Sarasota to TPA, and 15 minutes before pickup, the driver called to ask if we would share the ride, because his "other driver" was having car problems. At that point I had no choice. If I said no, no ride. The "shared" person was already in the car. The ride was not in the limo or town car as advertised, but in a van that had seen better days. Darryl, the driver, spent half the trip rummaging thru his cooler, and singing with the radio. We kept drifting into lanes both left and right. The return trip was no better. He told us he purchased the business and was the sole driver. Once again into the van, I'm not sure it had seen a vacuum since it was purchased. Once again, we swerved left and right, cut off cars, and if accurate, most of the trip was around 80 mph. When we finally got home, we gave him a $5 tip for handling our luggage. He complained, but I had already paid him for the round trip service. Told him if he wanted a $20 tip, he should charge that up front and not complain. I will NEVER use this service again. read more

I was very disappointed that a company that advertises as local sent a car that was 50 minutes late. The driver did not tell me his name, he was listening to his own recorded program which I had to ask him to turn down, the car had too much air fresher which was blowing in my face, and he used fowl language. I would not recommend this company at all. read more

Don't book too late! I booked a pickup on Saturday for a Sunday flight online. I received an email with a cancellation notice. No phone contacts on the weekend so I ended booking with another service that could provide the service. Thanks, but not again. read more

Worst company ever don't work for them they won't pay you this company owes me almost 2 grand

If you value your life (and your money), do not use this company. We booked round trip service with this company. Our driver picked us up very quickly around 11PM, but was in a terrible mood when we tried to make conversation and ask how his day was going. He said he'd been at work since 4AM and wanted to go home. He cranked up the music full blast and drove through the parking garage like a bat out of hell. During the course of our ride to our vacation rental, he did not say one word to us, and almost got into multiple serious accidents. He pulled out into an intersection from a red light and other drivers were honking at him, slammed on the brakes hard when he saw a cop on the side of the road, and veered into another traffic lane and came within inches of being rear-ended by a large trolley. I had $15 in my hand at the beginning of the ride that I was going to tip him when he dropped us off. That money very quickly returned bit by bit to my purse as the ride went on. I had asked him in the beginning if he was familiar with where our condo was, and he said yes. It was clear that he was not, because he pulled out his phone and was looking at that while driving, getting directions and circling the block repeatedly. I finally asked him to just drop us off anywhere, and he said, "Honey, I've lived here all my life. I know where I am." By the time he dropped us at our location, my son said to me that his knees were shaking and he wondered the whole ride if we were going to die, and he wondered if his dad and I were thinking the same thing. I called management to complain and the manager did not seem at all concerned, sympathetic, or surprised at all. I understand there is a no refund policy, but I asked her to make an exception by refunding our return trip because of the terrifying ride we had originally. She refused. I rarely ever write reviews, and I much prefer to take time out of my day to pass along compliments when deserved, but I feel like I should warn others not to use this service in case they end up with this particular driver. read more

Darryl is always on time with a clean vehicle and his great personality makes our 45 minute ride so enjoyable. We use Airport Direct for all of our shuttle needed to and from Bradenton to TPA. We've been using the service for a year and will definitely continue until we are full time in FL. read more

Got a ride from Sarasota to the Tampa airport. Our driver, Julie was on time, friendly, cheerful, had a sense of humor, but wasn't intrusive. She even pulled over to let me use the restroom. She was a safe and efficient driver who clearly knew the area. I would definitely call them for future airport shuttles. read more

I reserved Airport Direct for my husband who was returning from a visit to family in Boston. I did not want him to have to navigate the sometimes difficult process of getting onto the Super Shuttle service (I used Super Shuttle last year for my ride home from TPA and was less than impressed). The private car service was a little more expensive, but I felt it was worth it. Turned out to be an excellent decision. My husband was met outside of Baggage Claim by a driver who was friendly and made him feel comfortable. The driver offered to have my husband sit in the front, which he accepted. They had a nice chat from the airport to our home, and he said the driver was excellent at finding short cuts around traffic which got him home even sooner. I will be traveling north in the fall and will use Airport Direct for myself. read more

You should know if you need to cancel a reservation with this shuttle service they will only refund 80% of your payment. They will also keep 20% of any gratuities you added. There are other shuttle services that will refund ALL your payment if you need to cancel. read more

After a couple days of air travel I couldn't face driving from Tampa to Sarasota at 11pm so I decided to contact airport direct for the private shuttle home. The rates were reasonable, the driver was timely, I was picked up at baggage claim right on time. The drive home was going fine until the driver started consulting his cell phone for directions. Let me just say, he was not a tech expert. I was pretty nervous as he was looking at his cell a lot and it would switch off or go upside down... I live in SRQ and told him what exit to take but suddenly he took the wrong exit and what should have been a quick shot from I-75 to my home turned into the back route from hell. It took half an hour longer down country lanes. By this time it's 1 am and I've been traveling since 10am from the west coast. I asked him if he lived in SRQ, since he didn't I figured he should have been paying attention to my directions. Well, I still tipped him since he carried the bags and did do the driving, etc. However, I think a little fine tuning would help. read more
