It seems like either people really like Gardy's, or they don't. My experience was not good. After…read morestopping in and discussing my Suzuki control box project with Dayton, he said he would be happy to do it. He also instructed me to buy the control box needed and to call him when I had it. After getting the part, I called him schedule a day to bring it in. He said the following week would work. I asked what day works and he said he would call me. No call from him, so I called him and he said he was really swamped and it would have to be the following week. Again I asked for a day and he said he would call me on Friday to let me know the day. Again, no call. So the following Monday, I stopped in. Again he said it would have to be the following week which is now approaching my lake Vermillion vacation time, starting on June 2nd but still ok. I said I needed to have a date set and he said Tuesday, the 26th of May. I arrived on Tuesday with my boat and he told me that he talked it over with his guys and that because my motor is a Suzuki he doesn't want to do the project, due to liabilities, and that I should take it to Hallberg Marine because they know Suzuki. He said if it was a Mercury, Honda, or Yamaha, he could do it. Bottom line: Why didn't he just tell me that from the start? I ended up taking it to Warner's Marine in New Richmond, explained my situation, and Nate Warner fit me in, and they have been great! Again, Dayton should have avoided this mess by not taking on the project in the first place. I rarely write a bad review, but in this case I had to. Now Gardy's has a recent review for future potential customers to see. Also, it looks like reviews aren't posted to their website yet...Hmmmm

Ill make this short-I helped my brother in law source an Atv for winter plowing: Im a former…read morecertified mechanic and knew the atv needed some small work but was overall very solid. This shop proceeded to take 2 months to fix a carburetor issue they opted to rebuild (and over charge for something much cheaper to just buy new) and during that time managed to break multiple parts on the atv, communicate terribly and take advantage of the fact that he already had brought the atv to them and milked that fact every chance they had. They kept finding "major issues" with the atv that I do not believe actually existed. The fact they went through multiple mechanics during the 2 months it was there speaks volumes of how poorly they run their business. worst part is, they sent it home with him (finally) with broken welded parts that they were responsible (and admitted to) breaking. In my years of mechanics I have never witnessed such a poorly run dishonest establishment.

They sent me confusing pictures of why they needed to be replaced so I agreed. They quoted me $1118 to do the job and charged me $1251 because they forgot to include the belt on the first quote even though it was there to get the belt replaced. I picked up the machine from the con artists and there is a dime size scuff wore through the front cover on the top side near wear the breather tube connects. Instead of suggesting I use JB weld to repair it they put over $400 of parts on the machine. They claimed I also needed a clutch from scratches clauses by the belt slipping, I declined because I felt they were ripping me off. This is a warning to stay away! Beware of the service department!

Going out of my way to say this is the worst experience I've had trying to deal with a service…read moredepartment. Had to go above their head to get them to work on my machine after 4-5 weeks of nothing and ended up getting the demo ski the owner had at his cabin as compensation while they got to work. Which then only took 4 DAYS TO GET A CALL SAYING MY MACHINE WAS DONE AND I HAD TO DROP THE DEMO OFF. I quit coming here two years ago but they continue to just fuck people over, I've heard nothing but bad stuff about these people on and off the trails. Don't give business to these clowns, they don't take responsibility but are overly willing to take your money!!! Only positive thing there is Amanda. God bless her soul

Leo's South in Lakeville MN has shoddy service…read more I'm not writing this review out of anger or frustration. Rather, I'm writing this out of sheer amazement, and also because my riding friends have asked me to. This started with a defective TFT display on my 2024 Ninja 500 40th Anniversary SE. After about 200 miles, a dead line appeared through the center of the display and never went away. I don't normally take my bikes in for their 600-mile service as I like to do my own maintenance. Seeing as this was out of my control and I wanted the warranty to cover the display, I decided to take it in at around 760 miles and have them do the repair and go over the bike. When I dropped off my bike at Leo's South in Lakeville, MN, I brought a microfiber cloth with me so I could give the bike a thorough wipe off in the parking lot, so I knew I was leaving it with them clean and in great condition. After they had the bike for about a week, Leo's called and informed me that it would take about 6-8 weeks until they could get a new display in from Kawasaki. Additionally, they told me that they are required to hold my bike for the duration of the warranty repair, leaving me without the bike for well over a month. After about 8 weeks, I got the call that it was done and I could come pick up the bike, so I went to Leo's grab it. Here's where it gets interesting... Firstly, the display apparently contained the mileage for the bike, so when the new display was installed, my mileage was back to zero. They were unsure if there was a way to load my miles, which Kawasaki would later confirm you cannot. I mentioned that this would probably cause me low-ball offers on resale due to the mileage being inaccurate, to which the service person said to me, "that's bullshit" and "you don't know what you're talking about". I was required to sign documents stating that they had performed the initial 600-mile service and that they had inspected and cleaned my machine... 1). There was some caked-on mud and debris around the rear wheel - I've never taken this bike in the rain. 2). The chain was visibly dirty and had obviously not been cleaned. If anything, it was dirtier than it was when I dropped it off. Not a big deal really. I clean chains all the time. 3). A fairing screw was missing on one of the lowers. This one bothered me the most as they said they would need to order in the screw. (SCREW that lol. I ordered the OEM part online to ship to my home.) I asked if they could give me a deal on the service cost due to the issues and they said no, so I paid the $120 and went home to clean and inspect the bike in my garage. All in all, the repair was fine. After I cleaned the bike off and installed the missing screw, it was back to its glory, minus 760 miles. Anyways, not a big deal in the end, but good lord, please stay away from Leo's for service. They have cool bikes for sale and their prices are fair, but their service team 100% ripped me off and will likely repeat this behavior. About 2 weeks later I received a $15 coupon for service.
