HORRIBLE. STAY AWAY. I found Air Wiz through a google search and contracted them to do an air duct cleaning. The crew that showed up were nasty, dirty and smelled of marijuana. They didn't seal a couple of vents properly and some of the material from the ducts blew out all over our furniture. When I showed the crew, they snickered and said they'd clean it up, which they did not. I had to hire a professional upholstery cleaner to come in and clean the furniture. This was the first time getting our ducts cleaned since we moved in. AirWiz scheduled an appointment with us over the phone the week prior and on the day of they arrived on time ready to go. Staff was professional, knowledgeable, and didn't push any extra services that weren't needed. I had them come out and to clean the vents along with both dryer vents. The dryer vent upstairs I had taken apart and blew out several times and could not get the lint out even with a gas blower. The lint was somehow escaping the vent and depositing itself around the house causing excessive dust. I found this company through Yelp, and I feel like this site can always be hit or miss. 150 great reviews and then the 1 bad review that makes you think the other 150 were made up. That being said, I cannot tell you how satisfied I am with Air Wiz Cleaning. They arrived on time, I even got a courtesy call to let me know they were on their way. They were extremely dutiful and conscientious with their work. This is a home that hasn't had its duct work cleaned since 1994, so I was kinda expecting like a dead animal to be found in the piles and piles of dirt they pulled out of my vents. Just a word of advice to people getting this done. It is LOUD. Like, Boeing 757 taking off from your front yard loud. My son is extremely sensitive to noise, plus all of us are working or learning from home. In the future I would probably leave while they are here, leaving my husband who couldn't hear a dump truck going through a nitroglycerin plant, to take care of payment and such. Originally I had two issues: 1. they left a mark on the hardwood floor - I originally thought it was a deep scratch but it was just a mark on the floor . 2. Alex and Angel came out yesterday to clean my ducts (2 systems) and my dryer vent. The entire appointment set up was easy. They called ahead and arrived exactly at the start of the appointment window. They came in and got right to work. This is a new house to us, so I wanted to get everything cleaned and fresh from the start. They went into the attic (a tight squeeze) for the upstairs system first and found that the last company who cleaned the ducts forgot to remove the cardboard they used to protect the coils (yikes). They completed the upstairs, then downstairs, then dryer/dryer vent (it was raining out, so probably not a pleasant experience). They appear to have done a great job and worked hard to get it done faster than expected (4 hours instead of 5+ estimated). They offered me sanitizer for mold for a slight upcharge on the upstairs system, but I refused since he indicated it was only a little bit on the outside (likely due to the lack of airflow from cardboard). There were no pressure sales at all. Overall, the experience was super professional. My home is as clean as it was before they came, but my visible vents/registers are all visibly clean and I'm really happy that's all done. I may clean the dryer vent on my own in the future, but will not hesitate to use Airwiz in the future when I need my ducts cleaned again in 5 years or I get lazy and don't feel like cleaning the dryer vent myself. read more
