As other customers have noted, this business does not use honest business practices. We were quoted one price on the phone and charged double after the tech left our house. When we pushed back, the reasons for the up-charge included that he had been here an hour (he was here 30 minutes) and that we had an "extra foot" of dryer venting (on the phone, we were quoted that each additional foot would add $10 to the overall cost). It would have been nice to have been told, up front, that going up on the roof was an additional $250 on top of the cleaning of the dryer vent. I paid $450 for cleaning the dryer vent which vents to the roof. I do not mind paying someone for their work. I do mind not knowing the cost up front and being surprised when the work is completed. I had told the lady when I scheduled the appointment that the dryer vent was on the roof. I find it dishonest when a business does not give you the total charge up front. read more

My home is about 3500 Sq ft and has 4x returns, and it took him about 3 hrs to do the inspection and cleaning. I had the worst experience with this company.please save your time and money and don't go with them. The guy was 4 hours late on the scheduled date so we had to reschedule for the next day. When he came he knows nothing about what he is doing he keeps playing guess games. He cut my dry wall. Didn't bother to close it. I didn't want him to leave without fixing it specially after ruining my wall. But he kept yelling even made my baby cry I paid 300$ just so can leave. He was very disrespectful. Such a health and safety issue that I'm surprised the house didn't burn down. Booking was easy. The gentleman came out and got straight to work and was very informative about what he was doing. Was really open that the basic service cleaning wasn't going to cut it and explained what he would do and what it would cost. He worked really hard to get everything done and it was just amazing when you look at the before and after. I can't find my pictures but the recent review with the before and after could have very well been my property. The best part of the experience was setting up the appointment. The person that I dealt with was accommodating and extremely helpful. As for the service itself. The person did what was needed and efficiently cleaned the dryer vent. However, he arrived without a step stool and asked to use mine, which was fine, except it sunk into the wet soil when he took it outside and was not cleaned off. When I went to take it out to use it, there was dirt and mud everywhere. Also, when he replaced the dryer duct, he left the old one in the laundry room. He explained everything very thoroughly and even did some extra vacuuming of the filter area of one of our dryers (because the whole thing was so clogged, lint had built up there) without any extra charges. We had two dryer vents cleaned inside and out, and one new vent installed (the old one was original, from the 1960's and was crushed and bent and was clogging the pipe). I called BH after having talked to several companies that focus first on air duct cleaning and do dryer vents as an after thought, sometimes for a lot of money. All of those other companies either clean dryer vents from inside OR from outside. BH does both inside and outside. BH has reasonable rates and is more focused on dryer vents when that's what they come out for. read more
