We moved into a new house this summer and have had 3 different air conditioning companies come out and tell us that the AC was working. Meanwhile, the 3.5 ton unit wouldn't cool past 80 degrees in the afternoon for a 1,300 square foot house. During the hottest days, it got stuck at 85 and air flow was minimal. Mike was the only one who was able to diagnose the real problem. Our air duct was 2 sizes too small which was throttling airflow. I called mike, and he responded to me in less than 15 minutes of me calling. Set up an appointment, and he showed up on time. He also called in advance that he was coming and approximately the time he would be there. I ask him if he was familiar with the Honeywell T6 Pro, and he said yes. I was skeptical at first, and when he arrived at the house, he did a thorough walkthrough of current equipment (Heat Pump) to ensure he would set it up correctly. Guy came out 2 months ago to look at problem with ac leaking in attic. Said coils needed cleaning and a new drain pan. Would get us a new pan and come back. Took his service fee and has never been back or returned any phone calls. Not a good company at all. DO NOT USE. THIS COMPANY IS NOT GOOD. had a new company come out. Coils are fine. Yes need a new drain pan but 1 could have been installed today if he was given the go ahead from home warranty company. Last night, 2300 hrs. "Whew, it sure is hot in here." Doh. The A/C is out! Mr. P found AJ Mike's on the web, and gave him a call. What service! Mike came out just a few hours after our call! Talk about prompt, Mike was ringing the bell at 1059 for our 1100 appointment. Professional, friendly and prepared, Mike was amazing. He fixed us up, and explained the problem to Mr. P, who often repairs our stuff on his own. He was very affordable and humble. We thought we probably also needed a freon top off for a slow leak, and he told us that, in fact, we were good. That's integrity that we have yet to see (if you read my other reviews of HVAC contractors), and we appreciated his knowledge. Mike came quickly to get my air conditioning working again and in 90 minutes the cool air was blowing once again. He changed out just the part that failed and didn't try to sell me more. I was only in town for the day Mike made room in his schedule to accommodate my last minute request for service. He gave me a time he thought he would be at my home. Not all heroes wear capes! We came home after a hot day outside at the comicon convention to an ever hotter house. The ac was blowing hot air. Not wanting to wait 3 days for a response from our home warranty, I turned to Yelp and called the first company that was open late on a Saturday. Mike was out in hour and within minutes knew what was wrong and even better, was able to fix it! He had parts handy on his truck which made it a quick fix. I damn near kissed the man as our house was cooler immediately. I don't handle heat well --Backstory, our compressor went out a few years back and the home warranty took 10 days to fix it in 120 degree weather. My husband and I damn near got divorced over that because again, I don't tolerate heat well--so thank you Mike for saving the day, and potentially our marriage.
